After a $500+ bill for parts, labor and gas, I brought it home. The first person who wanted to buy the boat tried to start to motor, it wouldn't start. I took it back to Wild River to find out why it wouldn't start. I received a call a few days later and was told the reason the motor wouldn't start was due to a significant amount of water in the gas tank. I also was told that the gas tank and fuel lines were water-tight and the water must have been present when gas was added to the gas tank. I did not add gas since Wild River filled the tank when I originally brought the boat and motor in for the tune up (over 4 gallons of gas at over $6.00 was itemized on the invoice). Now they want to charge me over $800 for service work!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone else experienced the "water in your gas" excuse to justify a service charge? I will NEVER again do business with this company.

None of the gages worked as apparently they were not part of the motor purchase and install. Picked it back up with half the gages working. The fuel gage worded and that was my main concern. The total bill was several thousands. When I got my boat back, the seats were cracked and the floor was squishy. They left my rig outside, uncovered the entire time. The job they did installing the motor and controls was sloppy, leaving lose wires and cables. Turns out the motor runs bad. Won't start very easy and then dies and won't start once it's hot. Over the 6 or so months it was there, I called weekly and no one ever called me back. Ever. This is bar far the worst experience I have ever had with any repair shop let alone a marina. I would never go there again and I would discourage anyone from ever going there again. They should not be in business. The owner is a twat and wouldn't call me back either. When I finally got my piece of garbage, the owner and staff blamed having a shitty machanic on staff that no longer works there. It was such a sad and awful experience. ​

Boat service employees work short hours causing extreme delays (over a month long to get anything looked at). I've had to search for employees around the property just to get gas numerous times (if they have any because the pumps run out). The list goes on and on. My family has given a lot of business to this marina servicing boats and purchasing gas over 15+ years and the only thing as consistent as us spending money there is the 1 star customer service we receive.

The only problem is that the organization that did the restoration, not Round Lake Marina, did not check the engine as they'd assure us they would. So here we are, with a beautiful, cosmetically restored boat, but the darn thing wouldn't start and if it did, it died randomly. Not the ideal situation for someone who doesn't know a motor from a steering wheel. Enter Round Lake Marina. Darrin, Rick and Aaron came to our rescue, gave the boat a nice little tune up at our dock and made sure "girls week" wasn't spent looking longingly at the lake.
