I wish that all the locations were created equally but they are not. I love the location in East Dallas. This one not so much. It's too big, too many t.v.'s. The food quality is def. not the same. For example, the fries are totally different. I asked the waitress and she did say they all source from different people so there you go. The ranch isn't as good. They don't have the fun games on the bar that my daughter and I love to play together. Just overall not as fun and not as good. Wings are wings so to me those taste the same anywhere you go. They definitely have a bigger menu than the E. Dallas location but really all I want is wings from a wing place. I guess we will just have to make the trek back over to E. Dallas for our favorite location. read more

Cool sports bar! This is my kind of place. We found this place on yelp while searching for somewhere different to eat while in the area. This is a great place for hanging our with friends and watching sports. There is a patio bar if you like eating outside. Our server, Madison, was great and made sure we had everything we needed. There were too many food selections to decide on just one thing so my best friend and I ordered a trio appetizer and entree and shared them. We chose the mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and honey bbq wings for our appetizers and the Monte Cristo for our entree. It was more than enough food. The wings were ok. I just prefer a lot less sauce on my wings. There seemed to be more sauce than chicken and it was overwhelming. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings were good. The Monte Cristo was fantastic. I would recommend this place anytime one is in the mood for good bar food, great beer, and sports. read more

Monday and Tuesday you can get Tito's for $2. Wednesday it's $3. That's really all I need to say... But then that wouldn't be me, would it? Any who read my reviews know I am a serious stickler about customer service, and I get service issues a LOT. On the service front here it's hit or miss by a wide margin. I'm talking a killshot or hit the dirt 30 yards away kind of scenario. But, then, they serve $2 and $3 Tito's. Did I mention that? You should really stop by for some Tito's; it's a Texas vodka that's just about my favorite thing since sliced habaneros. The place is clean, which you'd expect being fairly new, and the decor is kind of When-Applebee's-Met-Dieter-Rams; not much there and kind of chaotic, but without looking desolate. They have a ton of TVs which is nice. They also have trivia, which for geeks like me makes it great. They also have dirt cheap booze, which for drunks like me is great. And lots of people, which for attention whores like me is great. I wouldn't know about the noise; I sit outside on the patio where the only audio issue is that when the wind picks up - and the wind ALWAYS picks up in Murphy - you're deafened by what seem like hurricane level winds. Food is... meh. The loaded cheese fries are good, but how deep are you really asking to go with cheese fries, right? The adult grilled cheese panini is good enough but a bit on the small side, and the name is misleading; I had hoped for some kind of porn toast-images or at least a Venus de Milo burnt on or something. The taco salad has a great taco bowl, but they fill it what appears to be 37 cups of shredded lettuce. I'm not sure what lettuce ever did to Boomer, but we should probably warn the other veggies not to follow suit. Oh, and food prices are a little high here overall. But given the extremely cheap drinks I don't care so much about that. Best of all the place is a mile and a half from my house, so in the event we run up a $50 bar tab we can walk drunkenly by the police station instead of garnering the much more costly and infamous DUI... I highly recommend you drop by after work on your way home. And play some trivia; I need the competition! read more

Stick to coming here for drinks on the patio and maybe some appetizers if you're feeling lucky. The service here is at the same level as a dive bar. The inside of the restaurant is dark, noisy and filled with the stench of the day after a night of beer pong and debauchery. I made the mistake of actually eating here and it was disgusting. My Caesar salad had stale cheese (how is that even possible??) with a bland (clearly store bought) dressing and wilted lettuce and my chicken sandwich was most definitely reheated from God knows when. The most unappetizing thing to take place was the server taking my boyfriend's half empty drink glass back to the kitchen for a refill and bringing back the same exact cup. Who knows what the straw touched along the way. I don't know if that's a health code violation here in TX but it's surely a dining no-no in my book. Oh and let's not forget there was no soap in the men's room which leads me to wonder how the male wait staff is washing their hands before preparing and handling your food. On second thought, I don't want to know- I just won't be eating here ever again. read more

Absolutely LOVE BoomerJacks Murphy!! The best patio, great service, amazing specials daily and really good food!! We are here probably once a week. Management is always around checking on you to make sure your experience is good. read more

I've dined here three times now since the place has opened. The service is always friendly and prompt, the food is good, and the atmosphere welcoming. This place has the neighborhood bar feel. Boomer jacks is a bar/restaurant with an emphasis on bar. The food falls under American Cuisine. I'm a picky eater and have not been disappointed. Yes, the wait staff is young, but who cares as long as the service is good. This is my opinion...Try this place and form your own! read more

Food was mediocre service was okay. This place does NOT support our troops. Don't order the Monte Cristo with sweet potato French fries. The sweet potato fries had too much cinnamon. Artichoke dip was bland. Chips and salad were good. Prices were reasonable. read more

this place isn't even trying to do a good job. we ordered delivery - TWO sides left off - one entrée incorrect - not what we ordered - no dressing with the fried jalapenos , as per the menu I get it (not really) that delivery orders always have something wrong or missing. but FOUR items ? there's something wrong with this place. when I called the manager was all "hey brother what's up?" and then he drilled down on the missing dressing as if that was the main issue, completely ignoring missing sides + wrong entrée. If I was a manager I'd be "I am SO sorry let me get you a refund and a voucher for another order" but this guy is all "oh bummer man sorry about your order have a good evening". their tag line is "we're laid back"... yeah, they're laid back alright. what a joke of a business. read more

If you like really, really like LOUD atmospheres with ... greasy food lots of beer many, many TV's young servers with scoop neck, tight fitting T's and shorts ... this is it, a sports bar where the emphasis is on beer and loud. If you want to preserve what hearing you have left and don't need an induction of cholesterol into your system, go somewhere else. Our group of four tried Chicken Fried Steak (too much grease), onion rings (tasteless and too much grease), chicken tenders (too much grease) and of course a really greasy hamburger with grease soaked french fries. read more

I like Boomers. Being a Wylie/Murphy resident, it's basically the only place around with a patio - and it's an awesome patio! Their drink specials are pretty good too, and they vary them day to day (not the same junk every day). I'm a huge fan of the turkey melt, and their onion rings, but the rest is pretty good too. Try the appetizer sausage cheese plate. It's very good as well. That's my typical order, unless i'm feeling crazy. Service is pretty good - sometimes hit or miss. Pretty laid back. Patio can get crowded, especially when it's either too hot or two cold or two rainy to sit in the uncovered section, so go early during busier times. read more

Actually, a little better than a 3 but not a 4. We took the kids to BoomerJacks. When we walked in, we realized it was more of a bar than a family place, but my 7 year-old son and 3 year-old daughter were ready to chew the legs off the chairs. We stayed and enjoyed our meal. My wife got a salad with chicken, tortilla chips and greens. The greens were fresh and the chicken was flavorful and moist. I had a chicken based sandwich and it also didn't disappoint. The kids ordered finger foods and we all shared an order of cheese fries. In a nutshell, the food was solid bar and grill fare, cooked correctly, flavorful and no skimping on portion sizes. Our tea glasses never got empty and our friendly waitress was great with the kids. I doubt this would ever again be a family first choice but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place for a hearty meal and cold soft drink or beer with a friend. read more

Murphy really needed a good hang out and I think Boomer Jack's is the perfect addition! Although I have seen families dining in here, I think that Thurs, Friday, and Sat. nights are definitely more suited to the drinking age crowd. Yes, it is quite loud inside but if you sit further away from the bar it's not as bad. Decent bar choices and burgers and quesadillas are good as well. read more

I usually come here later in the evening for a nightcap on the way home from work. I have had the food a couple times and it is pretty good but nothing special, but the main reason is stop in is for a beer and an "Ice Cold" Tuaca shot. My only complaint is that every time I get my nightcap I watch them take the Tuaca bottle out of the reachdown cooler/freezer but it is never ice cold! so I always have to settle for a cold beer and a cool shot of Tuaca (not my fave). Atmosphere is great for this area of town, Murphy/Wylie area has needed this for a while now in my opinion. Boomerjack's probably won't be on my regular rotation unless the fix the Tuaca problem. but im sure i will be back. read more

The service here is horrible! We had to wait forever for our food. If u get the unlimited soup, you get one regular bowl then the next one is the size of a tea cup. What a joke. Anyway, no matter how busy the. Place is...you will wait and wait and wait and wait...................... read more

Never been to Boomer Jack's before tonight! What a pleasant surprise! Fun vibe, great staff with pleasant personalities! Menu with plenty of options and good drink menu. New waitress, Alyssa, was super sweet, quick and very attentive to our needs without being over board. We love the patio area and will be back on nice days!! read more

Edit- 7/19/16 - They have changed the menu and removed mushrooms. No more fried mushrooms, the mushroom-swiss burger is gone, and the smothered chicken (the best deal on the menu) is adios. Big disappointment! The best ribeye in town. A Monte Cristo as good as Bennigan's old one. The smothered chicken is a great deal, and the beer selection is good, as well. read more

I've tried to like this place. The food is average. The ambiance is ok for a sports bar. Service is fair. The problem is all the damn flies. Flies everywhere. It grosses me out thinking about it. Constantly swatting. I think it speaks to cleanliness. read more

I can't remember the last time a manager served us from beginning till end. They usually delegate the task to a different waiter and not get involved. This was our first time here and we were very impressed with Joey the manager, the food, and the service. I stop coming over a year ago because of not being greeted for 5 mins at the bar area. Then I say two Lesbians at the bar getting off. Cameron, the bartender and another staff member was standing to the right of me talking. It couldn't be missed. I don't know. I left after the bartender decided to come over and greet me 5 mins. Later. I was Disgusted and wanted nothing to eat. I have nothing against gay people but really, get a room. Prior to this incident I use to really like this place. read more

Only gave them 3 stars because there bar, drinks, and work-staff are good. The food is FLAVORLESS! I mean, come-on! I've had the philly cheesesteak w/fries and there american chicken sandwhich w/onion rings. All flavorless...I was almost tempted to ask the waitress if I could go in the kitchen myself and help them out! Fries are unseasoned, batter for the onion rings is bland and the chicken was dry and even MORE bland. It actually took away from the bacon cheese and avacado that came on the sandwich...geez... HOWEVER, patio is super cool and drinks are great! I love that it's so close to home. Will definitely go again...but making myself something to eat at home before I head out there. read more

I thought this place closed several years ago. I just saw some sliders that looked really good on Facebook. I loved their burgers. Now that I know they are open, I can't wait to come back. read more

Now, you just HAVE TO love a place that has pictures of their food on the menu, right?! (sarcasm.) Well, anyway... For what it was, Boomer Jack's fit the bill for sure. The hostess and waitresses were all pleasant as peaches with their down home "y'all" and "thank ye kindly"'s. We grabbed a lunch, which should have been more economical than it was since I had to go adding a soup to my salad which made my lunch about $4 more than the average $6 lunch special, but I guess I'm just a big city spender. However, the chicken salad and tomato soup were decent and flavorful. There was a rowdy group of bikers (I kid. They were sweet.) a table over from us who were as jolly as ever. Lots of TV's were present if you're going to catch a game. 'round these parts food can be slim pickins'. All things considered, it was a good lunch served by kind people. I have gotten to the bottom of the "catfish filet mystery". According to several servers, the portions are weighed and if the catfish filets exceed that weight, they are cut down. I get that, but I would prefer to have full filets on my plate then stare at one that has been cut in half. So my suggestion is to serve smaller filets, or just charge more for the catfish cuz it is a HUGE turn-off only having half of what you ordered. Also, I have ordered wings and burgers since my last review and they have consistently arrived well cooked and prepared, so Kudos for that. I'm still a regular at Boomerjack's. It is a fun place to hang out and it's nearby. But please, PLEASE gimme full filets! Over and out.... read more

Second time here and the food is really pretty good. Quesadillas, burgers, nachos, wings, etc. Tonight the crowd is family style and a few regular dudes at the bar. Had .59 wings. Wings wear smaller than wing stop, but very tasty. Have to order at least 5 and only one flavor per five. 2.50 crown and down includes all well liquor at 2.50. The pour is about a 2 to 3 second pour. Not how my usual bartenders pour, but at 2.50 I'm wondering how good this deal is. I'll be back if only for the food and the nice people around here. read more

Tried this spot through DoorDash. The picture of their pork chops looked awesome and I was really excited to try them. They were cooked to perfection but there was no seasoning - it was extremely bland. They also forgot to include the side order I requested. Hope it was just a fluke. read more

Came here with some friends to watch some fights and that's when it went downhill. I usually just watch them at home and I should have stuck that. The service was slow and it wasn't busy. The manager wanted to fix the order and bring it all out correctly and we opted to not even bother. The experience made it clear to stay home and order take out in the future. read more

I forgot the most important part. A specific bartender by the name of Masha deserves a mention. I have known her for years as she worked as my waitress and the head bartender in the last year. They dont make women like her anymore. On a busy night she looks serious but cracks a smile here and there. When she does, its a world into her as a person. Ask her about where she came from and about her children. If you catch her on a slow night, she really has a great story. Love masha forever read more

Just an update, the patio is really nice so I bumped it up a notch. But they had no Bloody Mary mix at 11:20am. Waitstaff is a crap shoot. Today's waitress was beautiful but not well trained.
