My husband, little girl and I used to frequent Boomerjack's. When it opened, the staff was very friendly and attentive and a member of management often stopped by to see how things were going during the meal. On our last few visits, we've noticed the staff appear really uninterested in being there and have also noticed a decline in the food quality. My order was wrong on my last 3 visits in a row, and once, I waited so long for the kitchen to correct it that I canceled it because my family finished eating before a replacement was brought out. That's pathetic! They made a mistake and never bothered to correct it and I got nothing to eat that visit. My server should have gotten her manager to expo that for her or read that cook the riot act for telling her he was too busy, but she just kept telling me, "sorry, they're backed up." Also, they really need to install an air curtain or something between the dining room and the door to the patio to help keep the flies out. The flies are really obnoxious, and you just know they make their way into the kitchen, too. We really used to enjoy coming here because the food was good and the staff were so friendly. Now it's hit or miss food and apathetic staff. I hope they get their act together fast because it would be a shame to see it close down, it's a convenient location for people in Murphy. read more

This is my first review on Yelp. Ever!! Let me just say, this Boomer Jack's was incredible!! We tried to get a "bar table" since we were just having drinks, but there were non available so we went to the patio area. Because it was windy/cold we sat next to the fire pit, ordered drinks and moved closer to the heaters before our nice server, Alex, had a chance to get our drinks. Alex delivered our drinks to our new location and was super friendly. Half way through those drinks, the manager came and told us there was a table inside in the bar area. Thank goodness because it was cold outside! We thought Alex would still be our server but he wasn't. Because we moved inside, another server, Maddie, took over our bar needs. She was as great as Alex! It's hard enough to get one great server but we ended up getting two!! All we had were drinks and both servers and the manager (wish I had gotten his name) were super attentive. Both servers came over and had friendly conversation during our time there and neither my husband or myself ever had to ask for anything. Thank you to Boomer Jack's Manager, servers, Alex and Maddie, for the wonderful hospitality tonight. We will definitely go back! read more

We visit 1-2 times per week since it opened, it's our "to go" place when we don't know what to do for dinner. We love the food, atmosphere, & staff! The food is great, the beer is ice cold, and the service is almost always fantastic. read more

Went here for the first time although I've lived nearby for years. It's always packed so we thought it would be pretty good. Ordered the sausage and cheese platter which looked nothing like the picture in the menu. We actually received sliced American cheese on the plate. Wasn't expecting anything fancy but was very surprised to get cheese slices. Panini was ok but nothing spectacular. Cheesesteak was pretty good. Bottled beer was warm. read more

My husband & I went to Boomer Jack's for the first time today. As a Celiac with a food allergy I was pleased (although sceptical) to see a ton of Gluten Free items on the menu. Kaci our waitress was wonderful. I've had no sickness since leaving so I know they did a great job with no cross contamination. They just earned a huge approval rating from us! had low expectations based on previous reviews having low expectations is good because you can only go up, right? decided to try it since Windy is responding to recent negative reviews and that shows a probability of improvement while our server said "no problem" in lieu of "you're welcome" to an almost unbearable degree, service was just fine; no complaints ate samples of: loaded cheese fries, bacon cheeseburger, ranch bacon ranch chicken ranch quesadillas, and onion rings; everything was generously portioned and well-executed - cheese fries were covered in all the junk you want - burger was just the right kind of pink, and oh so much bacon - quesadilla had nice grill marks and was crispy/chewy - onion rings were not greasy and had a pleasant batter drank a couple of beers and had some vodka shots; all quickly and correctly delivered pros include pleasant decor, none of my brethren are on the menu cons include the hostess who had about as much energy as a sea sponge I and The Hen will return ***three stars reflects what I think is a fair review and is not a slam; I only give 4/5 stars for absolutely mind-blowing experiences *** read more

Decent place for a meal. We got the loaded cheese fries and my family enjoyed those. The chipotle blue cheese burger was good not great. The fried pickles that came with it were greasy and overcooked so not very good there. Still a decent meal overall. Might be a good place to drink but lunch was horrible. Greasy burger, greasy chicken tenders, greasy chicken quesadillas, and greasy fries. The burger came dry with no mustard or mayo or barbeque even on the side just grease covered cheese and a grease soaked bun. None of us finished lunch and we all felt like we needed to brush the grease off our teeth. Yuck. This place started out great and it's unfortunately gone downhill since. The food used to be great with lots of flavor. Now it's bland and greasy. The staff and service has also dropped. Where there used to be fun energetic bar and wait staff. These days there are bland non attentive servers and bartenders who seem to talk more than service their customers. Only been there once and that was enough. We were seated right away within 5 mins a waitress pour some cold drinks on top of my daughter. All she said was sooo sorry but that was it. No manager, no let me take care of the bill or the drinks at least no nothing. They moved us to a corner table where we were totally forgotten for a few minutes. I know it was an accident but this is where management should stand out. After that the food was okay nothing out of the ordinary and the prices were good too but I wouldn't go to a place where I know they wont offer me the best service. read more
