Since they are only open from 8-10am on weekends (BS!) - you have to return it while they are gone. You drop your keys in the door and then they charge your Credit card. I think this is their strategy. Well, no surprise - I get dinged a $25 cleaning fee. I call and she says there was a white powder in the back of the truck. First off - hard to believe given I was moving storage bins from my basement. But she says she took pictures of it and as even after pushing her it is obvious I have no recourse at this time. I even went as far as including my gas receipt of $3.75 (1 gallon) to prove that I topped it off as the gas gauge never moved and I could have turned it in.... Bottom line - please go to someone else - there are plenty of uhaul places in town as I won't be using this one again.

They also have storage units that are inside and climate controlled so you don't have to worry about the crazy weather. The indoor unit that is climate controlled is very nice because it also has another security feature to get inside the indoor units. The indoor units are also monitored with multiple cameras! So I like the added security features the indoor units have! The owner is awesome He took the time to explain to me what each unit can fit in and how I should pack my stuff Inside. He also let me use one of there Dollies so it was much easier for me to move my big tubs and boxes into the unit. If I knew what it was I wouldn't of been asking the woman. okay fine I let that slide. about a week after I had put in my code to get into the storage and once I was in I stepped into the office to ask her a questions and she had the audacity to ask me how I had gotten in! umm through the code I have and because I pay for a storage here? oh ok she answered. was she thinking I had gotten in without permission?! she is racist and treated me and my wife very poorly. the owner should have a serious talk with her and teach her a few manners and how to be more professional. needless to say I only stayed there a month and I was done with her attitude. So I was just on the phone with the owner Bob. I have always used 29th Street Storage in the past…read moreand always loved them. Bob was very kind to me the week prior as I was explaining to him that my family and I are going to be moving out of state for family matters (my husband is in the Marines and on active duty). We were going to need a larger unit come January for our move as we would be out of state for possibly 6 to 8 months. He had said (last week) that whenever I was ready, to call and ask for Bob the owner and that he would help us out and that also come January, I shouldn't have any problem finding a larger unit as they have a lot of people moving out. I decided that I was going to at least get started packing our things away for now in a smaller unit until I needed the larger one for our furniture. I called and tried to explain this to Bob, and said I would like to rent one of the 2 5x5 units available for now. He said "Hold on" and I then proceeded to hear him conversing with a lady in the background saying that "she wants to rent a 5x5.....do you not want to deal with her? If you don't want to deal with her than I understand..." After that Bob got back on the phone with me and told me that "based on his notes and his management" (whatever that means) that he would not rent to me and do business with me!!! I was completely confused and tried to find out what was wrong, and he started accusing me in regards to needing him to find me a bigger one in January! WHAT?!! I told him that I wasn't needing the bigger one now and that I wasn't expecting him to find that for me and that when the time came, I could find a bigger one on my own if they didn't have one, but that I was just wanting to rent the 5x5 from them for now. HE BLATANTLY REFUSED TO DO BUSINESS WITH ME!!!! I HAVE LITERALLY NEVER KNOWN A BUSINESS OWNER SUCH AS THIS ONE TO JUST MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS JUST SLAPPED IN THE FACE. NOT ONLY DID THIS COMPLETELY HURT MY FEELINGS, BUT AS A TRAVELING MILITARY FAMILY, HE JUST MADE MY MOVE AND EXPERIENCE OF THIS MOVE THAT WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH JUST THAT MUCH MORE DIFFICULT AND INCONVENIENT FOR US!!!
