This place is great! We were driving through the area for a road trip and wanted breakfast, but also options for lunch. This place was very clean, in and around the restaurant and the restrooms were very clean as well, which is important when you are on a long road trip like we were. The ambiance and style of the restaurant was great, too, with a throw-back vibe to the 50s, which I love. There were so many great 50s photos and memorabilia, which helps patrons step back in time when life was much simpler back then. The food was great, too! Various breakfast items were ordered by our group and it was delicious! The biscuits I had were so yummy, and had to be made from scratch. The staff was so courteous and friendly. They were very attentive to our needs. I haven't experienced service this good in a restaurant in a really long time, so this was a great change to step in to a place with warm, friendly staff. Recently went to Dallas for an overnighter and The Wife was getting a little peckish around Henryetta, so we looked at a couple of options and wound up settling for Boom-A-Rang. There's one in Owasso, so we're familiar with the menu. Food was average. Not great, but about what you'd expect. Service was average, but there seemed to be a lot of flies in and around the dining area which was a turnoff. Not a place I'm likely to ever be around again, so not much chance of me going back. read more

Wow! I was so disappointed with this restaurant, not very clean. The staff wasn't very friendly. I ordered the Rebal burger ( double cheeseburger with bacon and peanut butter) fries and a drink. Burger had very very little PB on it, fries where about half cooked I think, very greasy. I drank my tea and wasn't offered a refill or one to go. The price $18.75! Wow! I'm a veteran I asked if they still had a veterans discount, the girl told me they don't have that anymore. I thought this was a veteran owned company??? Anyhow I was very unimpressed with my dinner and the price was a bit high I thought for the amount of food. I won't be eating at boom a rang anymore. read more

We were passing through and decided try this place. What a great choice! Old fashioned cheeseburger with everything was great. My wife loved her BLT! The fried okra and fried mushrooms were fantastic! The strawberry and chocolate shakes were perfect. The place has a fifties vibe and great service. read more

We stopped in here after going to the Muscogee Festival. (That's a whole other review). From the outside, this place looks decent but once u walk in it is a whole different story. Super crammed together and quite dirty. We sat down and ordered our drinks. 1 pepsi and 2 lemonades. They bring me my pepsi and said they were getting the lemonade. Another girl comes by and asks what we want to drink..lol. I said I got my drink but we are still waiting for the lemonade. She goes and comes back and says "We are out of lemonade but we have Strawberry Lemonade" (after the 1st girl said they did have lemonade). We then ordered fried mushrooms. Girl said, Oh, we dont have those. We should have just left after that...lol. I said, do you have hamburger meat to make the hamburgers? She didnt find that funny, but come on....no lemonade in the heat of summer and then out of something on your basic menu. So we ordered. The whole time we were waiting we were fighting off probably about 20 flies. Should have just left again.......Ordered one of the burgers with added jalapenos. Guess what? Yep, it didnt have jalapenos on it. So for two basic burgers and a kids meal it was $50....We willl never go back there again and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Other locations may be ok but not this one. Suggestions to Manager that will read this! Take out a booth or two so people can eat comfortably. Maybe get a few of those uv lights for the major fly issue. Make sure whoever is doing the ordering for the restaurant knows how much of things to orderso they actually have the menu items. If you choose to eat here even after reading this make sure everyone in your party brings a flyswatter. read more

Driving to Dallas from Tulsa and found the Boomarang Diner in Okmulgee. We each had the catfish basket and it was soooo good! We couldn't believe that it's a chain restaurant! All I can say is it's a good thing that I don't live in the south! read more

I came to eat here with family. I had been here before and I was not a fan but thought I would give it another try years later. We walked in and the restaurant was clean as we sat down. While we were sitting waiting for our food, I saw a lady leave the table next to us after she was done eating. A new family came in and sat down at the same table without the employees cleaning off the table. especially during Covid, you would think this would be the first thing you do when a customer leaves. I ordered the "Big Breakfast" because I did not want what I had last time. The food came out and it looked depressing.. The hash browns were burnt and as well as the sausage patties. I walked up the stairs and onto the patio. Trash trash and trash all over the tables and not one single table was busted. Walked in the door and behold, more trashy tables! Never in my eating out experiences have I ever seen something like this. One table was clean enough to sit at but I gave 4 thoughts to walking out due to my first impression. I've been here multiple times driving through town but I'm certain I won't give it another try. The sanitary situation today just turned me way off. You always know what you get when you go to Boom-A-Rang... A cesspool of mediocrity. I come here every Monday for a half-price burger basket, and it's decent. They use frozen fries, but they are some of the better frozen fries I've had. The burger is always burnt to a crisp is is rather small. I always get it to go, so I have no comment about the service, the ladies at the window are always nice though. read more

I go here daily for their fountain drinks and their coffee. I always eat their Monday half-price burger and they always turn out pretty darn good. I'm always greeted at the door with a "hello" or "welcome to boom-a-rang, sit anywhere you'd like" greeting. They do get swamped around lunchtime on Mondays so I wait till 2:30-3:00 to stop in and eat at the stools. They gave it a remodel just recently and it's looking pretty good afterwards. Their decorations are very retro/rockabilly theme and I find it very neat. I'd easily recommend their fried chicken sandwiches, very delicious if you like a slightly messier burger due to the chicken being massive lol. I'd say my only con is the prices. A little above average but definitely worth the food and the 5 stars regardless of that. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some good ma' and pa' kinda cooking in a old-school setting. read more

First off, I LOVE hamburgers. This is the best little burger joint I've found since moving to Oklahoma. Reminds me of Culver's back home in Utah. The hamburgers have good flavor and the buns are nice and toasted. My boyfriend and I ordered the burger baskets and it was plenty of food for a low price. Friendly staff always checked up on us and refilled our drinks whenever needed without us asking. Even offered us to go cups! I really recommend this place to anyone and brag about it to my family back home. read more

The Boomarang diner in Shawnee on Harrison street is charging extra charges on your debit card when you pay. They did it to me. My recipte showed one charge and when it went to my bank it was a higher charge. Someone is pocketing the extra money. read more
