I called to see about getting my grandson's Bible repaired. It looked like he had played a few…read moregames of basketball with it. The back was off, but the inside Bible itself was intact. The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I didn't get the name of the person that spoke to me, but she had excellent customer service skills and she used them, taking time to explain the process so very kindly. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. And, I'll be sure to pass on their info. Customer service is a lost art, but not at The Book Doctor!

I stepped in and immediately greeted by a young woman and two other women. I learned the owners were away at a conference but have been running the store for 45 years! I asked about their gifts, arts, books, etc. and found their prices to be the same as online and they can get anything within a week. My good friend just released a book and I encouraged them to have it on their bookshelf since it is getting rave reviews from Sean McDowell and people will be asking about it. It's a very nice store that serves the community well. They'd love to serve you and your church!

Hopefully, they see more sales with this category and we see the options grow in the coming future. Definitely come if you're an avid romance reader, and bring your friends for some cute photos ops!

I enjoy shopping for Spanish Bibles at Fuente de Vida (FDV). Despite a problematic "search" feature…read moreon their website, the Bibles to choose from is good, with reasonable prices to match. However, I am giving DVD only 3 because their Customer Service is poor. On a recent purchase, I found typographical errors in a couple of their RVC Bibles and notified FDV. Their response was, "It's a problem with the printers, not us". Reminded that they sold me the Bible and I should be able to return it for a refund, they told me, "Of course" and finally provided return instructions. No such information was listed on the website or an email address. I find that odd and also unprofessional. Seems like FDV offers little or no customer service at th point of sale to help resolve such important issues.
