We visited Book Tree half an hour before it closed on a Saturday, so when we walked in, there was a small group of people sitting around in a small group. The owner warmly greeted us and mentioned that they had a visiting author here, but if we had any questions or needed help, to let him know. A book shop that has author readings and lectures? LOVE THIS ALREADY. Book Tree is located on Market Street, up the hill from downtown Kirkland. There was even designated street parking just for this store. The space isn't the largest, so they're not going to have everything here. But there are so many treasures to be found! They have a first edition of many books that are affordably priced. Most of the books are used here, which I prefer. But if you're looking for a new book, they have a few of that. You mostly come here, scanning through the shelves, bending down and looking through all sections because some of the books will be misplaced and it's a little untidy. But honestly, I love book stores like this because the hunt for a good book makes it al the more appealing! And you never know what you'll find. I was able to find a book that's not as common and easily found at other stores of one my favorite authors. Score! Book Tree is a must visit for any book worm in Kirkland and beyond! The owner is super friendly and welcoming of dogs and the store has a good selection of books to browse through and take home! I'm so happy to have found this charming book store in Kirkland.

A sweet, attractive independent bookstore on a beautiful island, where you might meet a handsome stranger, a dastardly murderer, or even a handsome stranger who turns out to be a dastardly murderer. I spent a few hours on Bainbridge Island during a family trip to Seattle, and we enjoyed a leisurely browse at this bookstore. It was well stocked with books of every genre, as well as a strong selection of gifts and toys. My Seattle friend told me Eagle Harbor had carried my book, at least when it first came out, so I forgave them for no longer having it on the shelves six years later. I was very happy to see my friends Kara Loo and Jennifer Young's novel in the romance section. It's their first book, and I think it's a good sign that the store stocks new releases by debut writers. I really just love a good bookstore, and being in Eagle Harbor Book Company made me happy, even as my children demanded I buy them every colorful thing that entered their field of vision. I'd be a regular if I lived on the island. I could rent a space next door and start solving crimes.

I loved the way the store was organized. Lots of fun featured and staff recommended titles! And as a local author, I especially appreciated that there was an entire section dedicated to local storytellers. We bought a stack of treats, and we're looking forward to coming back on our next trip to the area. Support your local bookstores, folks! We need these spaces in our communities.

Haven't purchased from this location, but we love stopping by to browse the books, games, and greeting cards! Super impressed by how large, nice, and well laid out everything is. It's quite the local gem. Also the kids section in the back is cool, would have loved it as a kid!

Bookstores are challenging to find and independent bookstores with new content even more. My friend and I stopped here on a whim and from a glance I thought it would be smaller than I had expected but it ended up being much longer than wide offering a ton of content with an easy flow. We were far from alone as there were many other customers milling about, and that is where I saw this little store shine as it was fairly easy to navigate without feeling trapped on enclosed. There were areas to step off into and let people pass, the check-out counter moved quickly, and everyone was super polite. I was very impressed with all the content. There were many different book sections as well as fun gift ideas and funny stickers. Both my friend I enjoyed walking through the aisles taking everything in. I certainly will be back and hope that my bibliophile friends come by to check this store out!
