They have priced everything…read morefairly and it's easy to get a semi-hard to find record there for much cheaper than some of the other record stores in the DFW metroplex. Tons of old records in the back to dig through and they picked out the cream of the crop and put them up front so you don't have to look hard to find something great. They had great prices and with every 10 dollars you spend you get a free 3 dollar record as well. When I was digging in the back the lady who works there kept checking in on me to see if I needed anything and even adjusted the A/C to be more comfortable for me to dig in. They have 3 larger rooms of neatly organized records broken into sub genre and then alphabetized. It was extremely easy to find what I was looking for and the staff were very helpful. This place is essentially a secret 3rd great record store in denton. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back as soon next weekend.

Their selection of hard-to-find vinyl and books is legitimately impressive, and complemented by a bunch of other collectible pop art. Posters, cassettes, toys, comic books. And it's all great stuff, clearly curated by someone who knows and cares. Easy place to get carried away!

Today was my first time to go to the Stonebriar Mall Barnes & Noble store, and I was impressed with…read moretheir selections. It's one of the biggest B&N stores I have been to so far. The children's area had the most toys I've ever seen at any of these places. And even thought it's large, I saw things that remind me of what a thoughtful bookstore should have in it. Children sitting on benches reading and laughing. Teens talking about the books they're buying and looking forward to reading that story. And adults having fun with their children. And I must say, isn't that what a bookstore should be about? Laughter, imagination, excitement to read. It truly made my heart happy to see and feel their joy as I walked through the book isles. There's a B&N store close to my house, and I never see or feel what I experienced at this store. That speaks volumes to me. And yes, I bought a book. Every year I look for that special Halloween book I can share with my granddaughter. Today I added the children's book, "We Are Already Haunting Here" by Gideon Stere. I can't wait to share it with her!

I am going to give away some of my criteria for writing a book store a five star experience. It's…read morerare for a bookstore to meet every criteria. To me a bookstore has to have an amazing selection, great customer service, fair prices, and a really nice vibe and atmosphere. This Barnes and Noble hits on everyone of those standards! This Barnes and Noble is inside of Stonebriar mall in Frisco. When I first walked in, I thought it to be a small store until I saw the escalators which brought me downstairs to a whole different level. Essentially, this is a full size, Barnes and Noble, and more! They even had sections that I have not seen in any other Barnes & Noble store. They had a whole selection of toys and games. They also had sections for different age groups on the activity toys. What I really enjoyed about the atmosphere here though, is all of the activity I saw. I saw family sitting down in the kids, section with parents reading to their children. I saw teenagers that were obviously walking in the mall that had stopped in the road to look at the young teen section and sit down with books. I saw families browsing together, individuals, browsing together and groups of all ages, checking out things, or sitting in nooks reading books. It was really a great vibe, and this place seem to be a community gathering place. Barnes & Noble has several different ways to score some bargains in their store. What is the typical look for the sales. For example, on this particular trip I saw several tables that had relatively new released books on sale for half price. You can get great prices also by becoming a member of their royalty buyers program. They have a couple different options on that depending on whether you're a casual reader and shopper or you're an avid reader, and shopper. I do not read as much as I used to so these days the free membership makes the most sense for me. Anyway, I have learned that not all Barnes and Noble's are created equally and this is a really great Barnes and Noble! Review #2094

And you create a space that honors the building and updating it with warm wood and fixtures, you're doing it right in my opinion. I loved the selections offered here and so did my daughters and granddaughter. Yes, I bought books here and my granddaughter was thrilled. There's a dedicated children's area with nice seating for them. There was a touch of magic there. Kids were happy and couldn't wait to get to the next book. That is what a book store is supposed to be about. I met the owners and both are genuinely nice and they care about their customers and their business. Both are very knowledgeable and more than happy to help in any way. If you're in Denton, you need to drop in and browse around - I bet you walk out with a great book!

Such is Patchouli Joe's Books & Indulgences. This is one of the most charming bookstores you will encounter. They have books for everyone, but I was taken back with the adorable children's sections I have seen in a bookstore. This Indie Bookstore really has a nice vibe to it. Part of that comes from the helpful people who work here, part of it from the other customers in the store. Altogether, everyone seemed to be relaxed and enjoying each other's company and the coffee/tea that they provide for their guests here. Pro Tips: 1) sign up for the rewards program 2) plan to spend a little time here because you will love it here 3) enjoy some of the delicious coffee!
