My daughter and I try to make the 30 mile trip to this Goodwill store at least twice a month. It's…read morea smaller store, but we usually find good stuff. We enjoy looking through the store to find the "color of the week" tagged items for the 50% of discount. The color changes every Sunday. We went today, on a Thursday, and the store workers were pulling all of the red tag (color of the week) items off the shelves and racks. I asked one of the workers why they were pulling the items already since the color doesn't change until Sunday, and she replied with, " I do what the boss lady tells me!". I don't think it is fair of them to advertise a 50% off color tag and then take that color tag out of the store four days early. The Goodwill prices are incredibly high as it is, and many people look forward to being able to shop for lower prices. This is the 2nd time that I have gone into this Goodwill when they were pulling the sale colors early.

Dude... that's not how it works. This is why we drive to other similar stores... because you put out what you got so people experience the good finds. Not just on high dollar days. Well, heck mommasita, that is not my problem...but if that lady didn't take it OFF the counter and hide it behind her! Oh no you didn't! I want that throw! She refused to sell it to me for the price on it. SHe told me I could pay the original price or go find another one. (I mean it was cheap, but obviously stickered down) Anywho, it wasn't the only thing I was buying. Also, since I frequent the establishment, she wouldn't honor my emailed discount. I said it expires today. She looked and said nope it expires the day before the date on the coupon... (*eyeroll) No worries, I went the next day and bought the throw from another cashier. (Hense the 2 stars...thinking maybe I just had a fluke employee).

One of my fave linen sundresses of all time I found here & this giant nautical/Pirate style basket. When I stopped by, I saw it was still posted on the Yelppage from over 7 years ago! haha. So, I am happy to share an update. THAT basket is one of my favorite things in my nomadic world adventures home collection. It's very unique with a giant rope around the top. It also has a matching lid, it came with, that is removable. It's so giant that it's the perfect beach towel basket/linen basket. I have had it many years now & it's still like brand new. I now use it in my Florida house. This last visit I found some awesome chair cushions I LOVE. They always have awesome inventory here & the store always looks nice & clean. Service has always been friendly. The Ardmore, OK TJMAXX location has been a total mess last few times I been there since last Christmas. If you are tall, they had many shirts, but if you are "Big" go somewhere else. I ended up going to DXL store in Allen. Which is a Big & Tall store.
