Literally nothing is priced, unless you are buying beer. And if there are tagged items, they don't ring up the price that is marked. Location is prime for someone that wants to run a grocery store, but whomever is running it now, really needs help. The employee working was super nice and earned this establishment 1 star .

The cheesesteak was hot with very good fries. My MIL ate half of the large burger and fries. My taco was very good, the three cheese enchiladas wer tasty, and the rice n beans just right. The was a bit too much queso on the enchiladas but it was nicely spicy. Definitely a do over on our next visit from Denison (and Midland)!

The eggs that I bought that were brown and hairy inside expired in July. This is September 30 and I don't keep eggs that long because we eat them often but now not for a while... I'm nervous about cracking one. We will not buy more than one package at a time now and will always check for an expiration date.

For the past couple of years, hubby has gotten the dark chocolate fondant white cake here for his birthday. The bakery here used to be excellent. This year hubby wanted that same cake so we came to order it & I showed her the photo of it & she told me they don't make them anymore. She couldn't tell me why. So hubby looked around & saw a gorgeous "Tres leches cake with fruit" and he LOVES that so he said "I don't care I want this one" so we bought that one. However, while we were there I was also looking at the fresh baked breads & they were all really small & kinda deformed. That means the staff aren't PROOFING the dough long enough. It's not rocket science. However, pandemic slackers, no one wants to work, bla bla bla, I can imagine no one left here is smart enough to know how to bake. To Management: "The only employee that has ever been helpful & mentally capable of running anything is the employee "Ronnie" who ironically owns a food company. I bet he could run the bakery. Just a thought." Anyhoo, we get the cake home & it said: "Tres Leches FRUIT Cake" on the label, but turns out, it was a Tres Leches cream cake with no fruit. So the label was even wrong. Luckily, Hubby LOVED the Tres Leches cream cake, even better than the Tres Leches fruit cake he occasionally gets. So no harm no foul. All turned out well astonishingly. However, having only one excellent cake is not enough to make us return anytime soon. Please fix the bakery. Bring back the dark chocolate fondant white cake.

However, when I walked up to the register, there was a customer who kept staring at me. I had just come from the gym, including a run, so I was wearing gym clothes and sweaty. The look he gave me wasn't friendly. It said, "You not from around here, boy!" This was a heavy fellow wearing hunting clothes and a tattoo on his neck. I said, "How's it going?" He just nodded and walked out with his items. I tried to joke about this with cashier, but she just stared at me. Not a bad stare, just blank. The four stars has nothing to do with the customer but the potential need for power-washing.

I drove those extra miles to get a Petey's Bing, which is a caffeinated beverage that comes in four flavors. They only had one flavor, but good enough. The employee who helped me was very friendly and said he bought Petey's Bing by the case. He also told me that another store across town has three of the four flavors. Pretty cool considering it's a competitor. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the cashier wasn't friendly at all. It seemed obvious she didn't like out-of-towners playing at the casino. But the fried chicken was good. This is not my most interesting review, but I'm writing it between hands while playing in a poker event. As a side note, the people in this area walk slower than anywhere I have ever seen. In my mind, I want to knock them over, but in real life, I offer a friendly smile. People are rarely as they seem.

I see these women at the deli standing around, but they stalled and not order when I walked up. I notice the guy working there is a young black guy, I look, but I didn't want anything, just as I was about to leave and he starts handing out extra large boxes of fried chicken from deli that were on top of the counter to these black woman who were standing there and come up to him without saying a word, like they had it planned. They just had a smile and a smirk in their faces. I think they got them free because there were no tags on any of the boxes and just put them in their carts. Not sure if they paid at the register, but if the guy is just giving them away, how often is this happening? Isn't the store suppose to repackage them in the containers with the plastic covers to resell the next day, or weigh all waste to get tax credit. To Brookshire ( Be careful who you hire)! We needed fishing licenses, and it was a fairly quick and easy process. It took a minute to get someone to help us. It seemed like each employee was responsible for multiple departments at one time. We bought food, and it was a little higher priced than in Oklahoma City. We found most of what we needed. The produce was hit or miss on freshness, but everything else seemed okay.
