I always enjoy going to Chapters. I love browsing the bestsellers and their different tables of…read morebooks, including "not just for teens" and "guaranteed reads". I also find that Heather's picks (their Oprah equivalent) are pretty solid reads. As for this Chapters location, I find that it is much more organized than other locations I've been too. It has a nice open feel, and it's really easy to find the different sections, including Well Being (no longer called Self Help) and Fitness. I find they also have more stock than at other locations. There's also a Starbucks inside the store so you can get your coffee and free Wi-Fi fix. As for the staff, there was a few wandering around the store in case you had any questions or wanted book suggestions. There's also plenty of parking outside the store, which is really convenient. Books at Chapters may be more expensive than at Costco, but the selection can't be beat. In terms of Chapters, this is one of the better one's I've been to.

Well, 4, but I came back within the hour for more. The owner is lovely and knowledgeable, with an unsuspecting yet efficient system for how he organizes his books. He was able to decipher my indecision and get me set up with an array of book choices, going off of my previous reads. Offered a student discount which was a pleasant surprise. Will certainly be back for more recommendations the next time I'm in town!

The space is fairly small but somehow they manage to cram in all the comics, board games, and geeky paraphernalia you could want on the shelves while still being browsable, and if for some reason they don't have something, the staff here are always happy to order it for you. In fact, the staff are what I miss the most about this store. Every single one of their employees does a great job making their customers feel comfortable and welcome, something that unfortunately doesn't always happen in comic shops. They know all of their regular customers by name and are quick to recommend new titles based on their interests. They're also always quick to rectify any potential situation. Once I had a comic come in with a tiny (very tiny) tear on it and they insisted on giving it to me for free. I probably wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't pointed it out and it really wasn't a big deal to me. That above and beyond attitude is rare and I very much appreciated it.

The same goes for checkout: the staff are always helpful with coupons and suggestions. I've never had anything but great service here. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5? Mostly corporate issues that I understand this location can't change. Michaels is terrible for making you feel ripped off with their constant coupons. Obviously everything is incredibly marked up. NEVER go there without a coupon. They almost always have one for at least 40% off a single item. Sometimes they even have ones that cover your whole transaction.

It is not packed full of stuff, it just takes up a smaller section of the store, more than it does anything. My husband did find some stuff he was looking for that has been sold out online for awhile, so that cool for him. It is worth checking out if you are in the area, since you might find some kind of awesome antique you can't live without while you are in there. It seemed to fit Kamloops perfect.

We stumbled across this store walking through downtown Kamloops. Although that day, the selection…read morewas small and your typical fare, the member of staff was very engaged and helpful. We purchased a game and the game and then sat down to play it in the game area. Ian, the employee, checked in on us and our progress, seemingly as excited about the game as we were. There's a huge selection of Magic and D&D and other RPGs, including a crazy array of dice. When we return to the area, we'll be back!
