When we first got there, since we have an American membership all we needed to do was present our membership card and the gentleman at the door wrote our information down on a clipboard. This location seems like any other until you take a closer look at the products - many of which are quintessentially British or Scottish: Victoria Sandwich Cake, Haggis Pakora, Clotted Cream, Nando's Peri Peri Sauce, local beer and candy, and much more! I loved everything about it! And while the food court looks very similar to those in the U.S. (a hot dog and soda for £1.50, slices of pizza, etc.), they have a few different items, too (jacket potatoes, cottage pie, gelato). We were able to get a bunch of things to set up our son in his flat and that was the main purpose for our visit. Also- we found the staff very friendly and welcoming!

Parking is a laugh - there is about 20 spaces; and it is usually chaos with every man for himself - likewise trying to get a trolley.

The jacket potato was decent, i wish you could add cheese on top of the chili (didn't see that option when order). Mango Smoothie was probably the best of all the items we ordered. Coke Zero - do UK folks like their soft drinks flat? Their drinks were all flat and no carbonation. Every corner you turn, there are greasy grub vendors and the waft of chips and curry sauce from the surrounding scoffers. The whole place has a kind of carnival day out feel to it, with its market vibe and kids' amusement rides in the centre. Each "street" (quaintly signposted, including Del Boy Way) is filled with stalls and shops, selling the weird and wonderful, from toys and tat, to piercings and portraits. The Forge Market is a little time warp of a place, untouched and unspoiled by the modern day, and I very much hope it stays that way.

The one on the half a head dummy looked beautiful, ok my description of the display may not be selling it to you but it was a really pretty and unusual looking piece of jewellery. This shop is probably more mother of the bride by looking at the outfits on display. They do have a good range of accessories, from fasinators, handbags, scarfs and jewellery. The ladies were very helpful and the lady who initially served me got the necklace from the shop window for me. It was a little more than I would have liked to have spent but it really was pretty and would go perfectly with my outfit. So next time you're in Hamilton ladies have a wee look. It does feel very intimate as it's a small sized shop but it's very brightly lit and you can see in through the window display, so I would window shop first before heading in.
