As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman (I wish I'd gotten his name!) who immediately made us feel welcome. He was friendly, clearly passionate about books, and incredibly knowledgeable. He asked if it was our first time visiting, and when we said yes, he surprised us with an amazing gesture....a free book, each, tailored to our favorite genres. We were blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness. The store itself is a treasure. Books galore, neatly organized by genre, and the place is not super larger, but makes you just want to look at it all. They also have a great selection of puzzles throughout. It's obvious that this place is loved -- both by the people who work there and those who visit. I purchased one book and I felt the price was reasonable. I can't wait to come back to Red Wing and when I do, I think another stop at this charming bookstore is on the list. Highly recommend to any fellow book lovers!

Super cute, lots of regular and fun topics for books. Also socks, gifts. Very friendly employees. The used books are mixed in with the new books: if you open up the front page and there is a price marked in pencil, is a used book. It overlooks the river in downtown Stillwater. There is a coffee shop attached to the bookstore. It's smallish in size, but seems to place an emphasis on quality vs quantity. It is a women owned store. Downtown Stillwater is quaint, and an afternoon strolling the shops, including this one, would be lovely. There is a small parking lot.
