We stopped on a whim and because I love books and bookshops. We spent 3+ hours conversing with Winifred, who had an amazing knowledge of every book in her shop. I ended up buying many books, that I had to ship back east. Winifred and Singing Wind Bookshop are one of the reasons I fell in love with Arizona. However, I am giving only 3 stars because he gave an appraisal without actually having found another copy like the one I have, an edition that seems to be a bit rare. I would have liked if he had found the exact same edition that I have before providing an appraisal. I don't know how he could offer an appraisal if he had no other examples on which to base it.

This is a small space with a lot yo offer... only thing I miss is some seating while perusing. I've visited many times and there are always fun things to look at, from the staff recommendations, to locally made jewelry, candles, and bookmarks, to the seasonal offerings from the cafe. They also host a variety of events. The space is clean and modern with lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor. The space is on the smaller side though, but they still have a solidly curated selection of books to browse. I know I will be back again and again!
