I ordered the dark green sweater with the bee on it because it was unique and seemed like a good fit. I expected way more on the quality for a sweater that costs $128. I like tight fighting clothes so I ordered an XS, however this fits bulky like a medium. The quality is also very much like an awkward bulky fit that you get when you buy a sweater from Champion. Very disappointed and many comment that the fit is too big. I cannot return it because I put it through the washer and dryer hoping it would shrink and fit better, it did not. I won't be taking any chances with buying from Bonobos any time soon. read more

LOUSY online customer service. Their 800 number never responds during posted available hours. Their chat link is never available. And if you ask for a PW reset email, the site says it's sent an email link but it never arrives in your inbox. NOTE: I'm reviewing only the online shop, not this or any other branch store. Above and beyond! I had an emergency that requires a Hawaiian shirt immediately. The team at the store bent the rules and let me take a shirt that was perfect for my occasion, off the rack! First time waking into this shop and had a great 15 minute experience. Customer service was excellent. They have representatives that will help and guide you to find the fit you like. They aren't all up in your face and give you your time to decide what you like. I'm pretty thin, and it's really hard to find a good fitting jacket and pants but Bonobos definitely has that modern, slim fit style that fits all. It's not a custom shop but their clothing has a custom feel to it. Definitely will be buying something here in the future! read more

Great clothing, especially if you shop during a sale. The pants are comfortable and fit well. Really nice ties too. Return/exchange policy is excellent. Rudest employees and worst retail experience I've ever witnessed. Apparently this street front shop is by appt only. Fine, but anyone can walk in off the street unlike their Chelsea store. First, two of the women that work in there completely ignored my friend and me while they chatted away with each other. Then the older woman who finally helped had a truly despicable and snide attitude, belittling and giving smart answers back to me for normal questions that I had. Great way to get your customers to come back bonobos, most guys really enjoy being treated with utter disrespect by vapid employees. read more

I don't know what I just experienced. The store is in a semi-isolated location, away from all the other clothing stores on Broadway. The store itself looks very, very old, matching my impression of the door outside. And when I came in, the employee asked me if I'd ever shopped there before - I said no. She then said it was an e-commerce company, that they measure me there and ship clothing to me. I wasn't sure what this meant - did they not have anything my size for me to try on? Because I certainly wasn't going to order anything without trying it on to test the fit. The employee who initially talked to me was mopping when she spoke to me and continued to do so - I wasn't really sure if they were going to help me further or not. Had a great experience here last week. Walked it, was helped right away from extremely nice lady. She explained how it works clearly and I found lots of clothes that fit perfectly, ordered them, then got them at home 3 days later. Went in during lunch break on Saturday without appointment and was quickly attended to. The process was explained that the store is for trying things on for size and to see color and fabric. From there you order online. Service for me was excellent and polite. I left satisfied. read more

The sales people were somewhat dismissive. It made the experience less then enjoyable. Once I received the suit that I picked, in the style and fabric I wanted, the fit and look just didn't work. The return and getting my money back was easy. Just not a whole lot of "guiding" took place. In the end a smile and a hello go a long way. read more

Horrible people, possibly great clothes, but as we were in essence thrown out into the rain I don't advise going...this is SOHO, people, you are going to get walk-ins! We were treated as if we were the lowest of peons, and told that as "people with appointments"were on the premises we were not welcome in the establishment. The woman at the front door was so focused on her iPad she could not be bothered with mere customers, apart from throwing us out. Someone please send her to the Ritz Carlton charm school course, there is a way to warmly ask could you come back later and then there is her way...evicting us.
