For the price we paid, no complains. The inn is listed as 3 stars. The staff was very friendly…read more Inside was ok. The inn was clean. It is definitely not fancy. There is a pool and looking inside the pool, it looks clean and decent. The bathroom is a good size and is quite spacious. I am surprised that the rooms in the inn wasn't too hot. I think it helps when it is surrounded by lots of trees/greens. Yes there is no air conditioning in the rooms but they do provide a fan. One thing that surprised me was that there isn't a lot of cars parked in the parking lot but the inn itself was sold out and there are no frequency. Location wise is pretty good. It is about 15 mins walk to the seawall/Gibson Landing area. Drive to the ferry is about 15 mins. The room we stayed in came with a microwave, toaster oven, fridge, sink and two stove burners (that we didn't expect). Cutleries and plates are provided as well. The bed was not bad. It was comfy. Yes there is a TV in the room. I believe there are some long term tenants living in the inn and some short terms as well. We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall it was ok. This is a family ran business. I am guessing the family lives here. It was cute to see pet birds in a cage in the front. There is no room service here. If you requires towel or extra toiletries, you will need to request that. Overall, it was ok.

Sunshine Lodge is a solid 3 star hotel in the hotel ratings world and a 4 star Yelp business…read more We came here with no reservation due to the one we had being a total nightmare. The guy on graveyard was super awesome. He came to the front desk right away at close to midnight. He offered $105 for a room with a queen bed and gave us directions to the room, walking us halfway there. Our room came with a kitchenette, and I learned all rooms here do. Hardwood floors with tile at the entry and bath. Room was clean, although a little rough around the edges. Some paint, replace the burnt out light bulbs and small repairs and it would be perfect. Nothing to complain about as we could still see in the bath. Bed was quite comfortable. We slept like logs. Toilitries provided were just shampoo, conditioner and bar soap but again, nothing to complain about for a small place and the price. Blow dryer provided but no hot air and after 15 minutes of trying to blow dry my short hair, I gave up. They have an outdoor pool, free wifi, free parking and some rooms have fireplaces. We didn't try out the pool. Close to the ferry and definitely would stay here again.

North America Aristrocratic Castle - This is a pic I borrowed from hotels.com. This is NOT what it looks like. Grounds are unkempt. No lights were on. Driveway is small.

Hell No. I went on…read morea trip with my fiancé and booked a night at this hotel via Hotels.com for the same day. From all of the pictures and the description, it appeared to be a 3-4 star hotel, and although it had zero reviews on Hotels.com and wasn't on Yelp, I thought I'd give it a try. After booking, I realized a ferry ride was required to get there and I called the hotel. It went to a blank voicemail box, designating a box number without any professional greeting or designation of it being a business. I left a message, as I had some questions regarding the hotel and the area. No one returned my call. When we got off the ferry, it was evening and GPS was instructing us to go up a dark as midnight, one-lane private road with a 3'x3' sign exclaiming, "Private road, no trespassing." We looked around and realized this was the only way to the hotel, so we drove into complete darkness with the brights on the car, up a winding, deserted road with barely enough room for my car. When we reached the top, we found the hotel, which turned out to just be a two-story home with zero customers there as it was completely black on the grounds and also inside the entire house except for a light upstairs. There were 2 vehicles out front. No parking lot. The landscaping had been ignored for years. The best part were the two German Shephard guard dogs that were barking and snarling and chasing the car as we parked. As the dogs barked and barked, I called the hotel again and once again, no one answered. I left another message, telling them to get their damn dogs and greet us at the entrance. Five minutes went by, and no one appeared. It was clear not a soul was there. The dogs stopped barking but were sitting right next to my door, staring at us. My fiancé, not wanting to give up, said he was going to try to see if anyone answered the doorbell. Two seconds after getting out of the car, the dogs started barking again and one lunged after him. He ran back into my car, and we said F this place. We got a room at another hotel in town and called Hotels.com, demanding a full refund. At the hotel we stayed at, the front desk clerk told us that he had heard of the same thing happening to other people. Do not stay here.

I usually don't write reviews or put out my emotions on social media until I came to this place…read more Literally it's a huge waste of time and especially money. Please do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else, I spent over an hour trying to find this place on the gps but it took me to a completely different location and once we luckily found the way there it was on a long uphill single road. It all seemed really shady like someone was just waiting for you to come and just rob you. Anyways once you get there you'll be chased down by German Shepards who don't give a rats ass about attacking you. This guy also tried to ripping me off by saying one night was more expensive than it said online when we made the reservation...

A friend and I stayed here Canada Day weekend 2019 ~ it was one of the few hotels with rooms left,…read moreso we booked it. The rate was average, and it's location fairly central to the harbor, Roberts Creek, and it's across from the local shopping mall. It's a typical motel with parking along the side of the building ~ the lobby is a typical motel/hotel style. We were greeted by a friendly male clerk who was expecting us ~ he gave us tourist information and explained the amenities in this hotel. We went back to our car, got our bags and walked through an entranceway, past a Spa, a Korean restaurant, and up to our 'suite' that had a balcony facing front, overlooking the road. This hotel appears to be undergoing upgrading ~ it's an older place but has been painted, newer carpets are throughout, and the decor in the room was tastefully done. We went outside to the swimming pool, which was utterly freezing cold, it appeared to have no heat at all, despite being an outdoor pool. The sauna was out of service, so we opted for the hot tub overlooking the pool area. The pool area was dated, but they had made an effort for guests keeping it open, albeit not all functional (sauna and pool far too cold to swim in). So, I will deduct one star. The spa on this property looked a bit dated, but had excellent prices from the list I saw on a wall inside. The bed was very comfortable, the linens clean, not overly smelling of laundry detergent, the mattress was almost perfect. However, the adjoining room next door had guests checking in VERY late, and they sat outside on their balcony next to ours, talking very late. It was so loud it felt like these people were sitting in our room! I got to sleep very late, hearing the people in the room next door, despite wearing earplugs. So, those people who are light sleepers like myself may want to get a downstairs room with no patio outside or get a room to the very back of the building. There was no one at the front desk at 6:30 am when we left, which is typical, but we dropped our keys off and left for the rest of our road trip. Location is great next to a gas station, and you can walk across the street to a mall with plenty of stores including London Drugs. A fairly satisfactory place to stay, though they appear to be renovating and upgrading - just a few details to iron out.
