It was with a heavy heart we decided to move our son out of Bonnies. (Going back to work was the reason for us) It was the best and most of all FUN experiences for my son. A shout OUT to all the staff specially Ms. Romella, Ms. Jasmin and Ms. Ani for the love, devotion, attentiveness, caring and constant communication with a first time mom. My son adores them!!! All the teachers at Bonnie are very profesional and friendly and my sons first teacher Ms. Marita was a sweetheart. The activities, the lunch provide, the pictures/videos and the weekly updates of the work done were a PLUS for me. Thank you thank you Ms. Cristina, Ms. Marie and everyone there for making my sons daycare experience an unforgettable one. I would give more stars if a could.... I highly recommend Bonnie Academy. read more

Bonnie Academy welcomed our two-year-old after a disruptive cross-country move with open arms. They made her feel safe and cared for, even loved. After only a few days, our daughter was bubbling with excitement at drop-off. The entire team is incredibly kind and extremely accommodating. We loved the summer bootcamp series, that includes play-filled activities like a bubble show and an animal play day. The only reason we moved on was because our daughter qualified for a spot at her sister's school, and the convenience of a single drop-off was important to our family. I would highly recommend Bonnie Academy to any prospective parents. The love, care and patience really meant the world to us, especially as new arrivals to the state without any family nearby. read more

Thank you Jasmine for everything. My daughter has been with school for two months. Jasmine always pay extra attention to things we did not think about. I can tell the parents who gave this a 5 star review did not look up bonnie with the department of licensing bc if they did they'd be horrified at the reports by the department of this facility!!! (and honestly they must also have low standards for who cares for their kids or they're fake/paid reviews) I'll start by saying they do take CCRC, & Jasmine/Ani (the directors) were nice on phone calls and on our tour! (although I felt our meeting w ani was a bit performative and didn't get the sense she was genuine which worried me) Upon touring the school there were a couple red flags for me... the most important one being that Ani avoided giving me the facility number when I asked twice! (by law they have to give it to anyone who asks! it is legally your right as a parent to have this to view reports with the department of licensing.) Other childcare facilities with nothing to hide will give it to you no problem first ask right away! !!!!IMPORTANT PART RIGHT HERE!!!! After calling post tour and finally receiving it (again with hesitation from ani over the phone and questioning from her before hand about who I was and why I wanted it) I NOW SEE WHY!!! They have MULTIPLE (8 citations) with the department of licensing. You can view this public info for yourself! The worst citation was for leaving a whole class of young children unsupervised for a long period of time which was observed in person by the inspector for the department of licensing. They noted that there was only ONE teacher in the entire school and she was sending children to walk back and fourth from classrooms on their own, as well bc they didnt have enough staff. FOR ME, this is absolutely unacceptable and a parents worse nightmare. Anything could've happened during that time, including someone opening the unsecure door and kidnaping your kids or them getting injured, or molested by other students (which other preschools have been cited for and unfortunately does happen) or worse, even dying. It was noted in another report that heaters w cords were accessible to children at some points, and that combined w no supervision is terrifying for a parent.) Granted the report about them being unsupervised states this took place in 2018, It was still under the direction and ownership of ani and jasmine when this happened and it makes me think it would happen again and I will not take that chance w my child. I encourage EVERY parent to always obtain the facility number from a childcare facility and look them up with the department of licensing to view citations, substantiated allegations, and reports. The lesser red flags were that I noticed immediately that Anis office was very cool and had full blast AC (which she was adamant about keeping by asking me to quickly shut the door so the air didnt get out) BUT THE KIDS ROOMS WERE SUPER HOT! I was worried about my child being stuck in a hot room all day and called back another day to talk with jasmine about it. She assured me that only happened bc it was the end of the day and they had just turned it off, but it didn't sit right w me. The air shouldn't be turned off until after the kids are gone! If the director needs AC so do the children!! I would also like to note that the bathrooms here are completely unacceptable. They look like something out of a horror film tbh, I was appalled. The tour started off ok until I saw that. The outside play area is large, but also quite dirty and old. You can tell there is no upkeep or care. They were cited for that as well in 2018 for having dangerous parts visible and accessible to children in the sandbox and when I toured the other day (in 2021) IT WAS STILL LIKE THAT!! There is also nowhere to park and its a huge cluster jam when picking up and dropping off. I was almost forced to choose this daycare as I'm running out of time to find one, but again after reading the reports by the department of licensing, I absolutely could not send my child here. Ani also told me ver batem "we are more of a homebased curriculum, there isn't much learning that takes place. your kids will not go from here to Harvard, I want to be honest about that." They're DEFINITELY babysitters NOT a preschool. and overall I got the sense that they just dont care really. THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS FOR YOUR CHILDREN CURRICULUM WISE FOR THE SAME PRICE OR LESS ALL OVER THE CITY and thankfully I found a preschool that keeps the kids busy learning, with crafts, outside water play, soccer, yoga, and even brings guests like firefighters and police officers etc in to teach and talk to the kids. If you're child goes to bonnie, they will be just watching movies, playing with legos and sitting around being babysat basically with no learning or playful activities besides some outdoor play in an old and unimpressive play area. Sorry for the length, I wanted to be thorough in our experience touring this facility. hope it helps! read more

My daughter has been a student at Bonnie for the past 3 years and it feels more like a second home than a school. The staff give me a piece of mind like no other. I know my daughter is not only the safest she can be outside of our home, she's also making memories and learning important skills to help guide her through her school years. Miss Jasmine and her entire staff work as a team to make sure every student feels safe and wanted by welcoming the students every morning with open and loving arms. I know my daughter is taken care of by all staff and not just her assigned teacher and nothing eases my mind more; knowing there is a full team at Bonnie genuinely caring for their students as they would their own. There are so many opportunities for parents to be involved and to stay in-the-know and as an ever curious momma, I really appreciate that! I plan on enrolling my infant son when he turns 18 months old because I know for my family and my standards, there is no better fit. read more

I had my daughter here from 18 months to 6 years old. I toured many schools and home care options which were a total nightmare. Then I found Bonnie in a great area of Glendale. The owner Ani and director Jasmine are amazing and always pleasant. My daughter had such good experiences with each and every teacher she had especially with Marita, Christina, and Marie. I always felt that my child was safe and having a great time. As far as academics, my daughter excelled there. They do have homework and class work so they are learning but in a fun way, what you would expect for a small child. I also appreciate that they didn't use time out, instead they talked to the child and tried to figure out a solution. In the summer they have a great summer camp with lots of activities like a water slide, petting zoo, etc. My daughter was sooo sad to leave Bonnie and frankly so was I. The parking is not great I will say, but welcome to Glendale. Just plan accordingly. Thank you Bonnie Academy for all the amazing years and the love and care you showed my little one. I am forever grateful! read more

A++ Bonnie Academy!!! I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff, cleanliness, safety and curriculum at Bonnie Academy. They understand the difference between academics vs. childcare. Hands down one of the best preschools in the area. As a first time parent, I was really nervous for my son to start preschool, but as soon as I met with Ms. Ani & Ms. Jasmine, my fears went out the door. They are so welcoming, caring, and they make you feel like family. My son really thrived attending Bonnie Academy. He went from being shy and timid to an outgoing, confident kid. I cannot thank them enough. read more

Bonnie Academy is and has been a wonderful place for children to learn compassion, discipline and other essential life skills, while having a blast doing it. Director Ani and Miss Jasmin are always kind and focused at their work, and the students definitely have fun learning with the entire staff. Every teacher I have encountered really creates a fun and dynamic environment for kids to learn. It is definitely a great place for any child, and especially Armenian residents in the Glendale area. This is the most amazing school! I absolutely love the teachers and the way it's run by Ms. Ani - finally an honest school that puts kids first and respects parents! We love Bonnie Academy. Everyone is so sweet and caring. They're very kid-centered and education focused while giving the kids lots of freedom to explore their individual identity and preferences. I witnessed one of their teachers berate and bully a small child to the point of tears. The child was literally screaming,"Stop it!" Over and over again. I confronted the teacher about it and she got angry and defensive. I spoke with the owner of the place and the woman that was berating and bullying the child was left in her same position overseeing children. That woman should not have been allowed to verbally and emotionally abuse a child. The owner did nothing and she lied to my face about disciplinary action. I've also personally witnessed "teachers" supervising kids by placing an iPad and n a table so they're watch a movie while the teacher was just engrossed in her phone ignoring children and children being played inappropriate music for their age. We pulled our child out of there and took them to another place. Take your child someplace else. You deserve better. Makes you wonder what happens to your child when you're not around. read more

Where do I begin.... my child absolutely loves going here and is so excited to start her pre-k journey. The teachers here take the time to know each child and their individual needs, which is really special. My child was very nervous about attending preschool and now she doesn't want to leave when I pick her up! As a mother, knowing my child is well taken care of emotionally, physically and academically- it gives me peace of mind that I have chosen the perfect school. read more

My son was kicked out of this school because of this review...Where do I start?. My son has been with Bonnie Academy for a couple of years now and we are hopefully gonna be changing daycares soon. I will preface this by saying I'm a very hands-on father, and I like to be included in my son's academics. Before deciding to go with Bonnie I asked several of my friends who had gone there what they thought..everyone said at THAT time when their kid went there it was the best...Unfortunately, most of the people they mentioned are gone now. Since the beginning its been a revolving door of employees. I find it hard to call it an Academy when they have a revolving door of employees..in ANY business if you have a revolving door..that's an indication of how the business is run. My son has come home on several occasions and said. GUESS what! we watched a movie again today...I personally saw on a perfectly clear day the kids were watching a movie. Their excuse that it was cold and or raining.. There's no excuse to NOT have indoor Academic activities or even fun faculty interactive play... On average at the school, they sleep 1-2 hours and then if they get a movie..what exactly is an academy doing showing movies unless it's educational programming. My son has a speech delay and we are trying to keep him away from the TV but then he gets it at school... On days I pick up my son I LOVED coming into his classroom to take a moment to observe him in his element and to also ask the teacher questions about how his day went and how I can help in any way...Well, recently that was put to a stop by the Administrator Ani. I signed my kid out and went to the door that leads to his classroom and she physically tried to stop me from going to my kids' classroom...Then the next day there was a sign on the door saying STOP NO parents beyond this point or something like that...I didn't understand what was going on. For the first time since 1965, they had NOT allowed the parents to enter to the classroom where THEIR children are to help them get their stuff together and maybe get a couple of questions into the teacher...When the school year started they had a parent-teacher meeting discussing the parking situation out front (which is a nightmare) and they took all of our emails in order to give the parents progress reports...I have NOT received one email and I mentioned that when I spoke with one of the teachers about the STOP no a parents issue..I said if they had given us access to the teacher's people wouldn't have to park and ask what's going on with their kid..The only email I got was today saying they created this new don't enter your own kids class policy..this is after I had mentioned I didn't get any progress report emails. So their policy is inconsistent and the rule about no parents in the classroom area is a way of preventing parents from seeing what's really going on. I can't wait for our son to leave..We are in the process of finding a better place for him.,, We should be able to go ANYWHERE our child is..It's like your kids getting released from Prison on work release instead of a family environment anymore..Forgot to mention there was a guy with a gun on his hip entering and exiting the daycare...supposedly his FBI but I could care less..there's no reason to walk into a school with a gun no matter who you are. My wife tried to speak the Administrator about our issue but was cut off and she was extremely rude to her.. *because of this review my son was kicked out of the school read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. My son was here for a couple of years when we lived in Burbank and he had an amazing experience. Ms. Joyce and Ms. Jasmine are wonderful. I was very nervous about placing my son in a daycare and Ms. Joyce (The director of the center) met with me and assured me that he would be safe and she would treat him as her own. I can honestly say that she has kept her word. Jasmine was his teacher before he left and she was such a hands-on and interactive teacher. She gave me updates and kept me in the loop on every aspect of his day. She integrated music, dance, and art into the daily routine. She made learning fun for the kids. I would certainly rec. this daycare to anyone who is searching for a safe, fun and stable learning environment. I am enrolling my twins in the near future and I am looking forward to a continued relationship with these guys. read more

LOVE LOVE Bonnie Academy, I looked for so many places around before getting a job I even put both of my daughters into a fancy day care with two playgrounds, great food super clean all armenian teachers drinking coffee sitting down doing nothing at all (I used to show up at any time), NOOOO at Bonnie you won't need to do that, it is more than a Day Care it is a home-school, your kids will be doing lots of arts and crafts, lots of projects, writing, dancing, napping, eating yummy and best of all they will be taken care of like if they were with family members, trust me I cried like a baby at the beginning, but Miss Joyce and Miss Ani (wonderful principals) always made sure that my kids or anything would be taken care of, the awesome teachers I have no words than just to say THANK YOU for everything (they even helped and taught me to potty trained), they work so hard and are so sweet to the kids, be prepared to get tons of cute projects done and to also be involved because it is like a family, it's little so you get to meet other parents and have great gatherings. When your kid is at a preschool age be prepared for the homework packets and do not complain, my daughters are now in second and fourth grade, they both started 1st grade above their grade level because of the great base gotten at Bonnie, I felt so relieved that at the end I made the best decision and stayed at Bonnie for almost 4 years. One thing that needs improvement is to move the reception out of the classroom by the door since it distracts the preK kids, other than that I have no complains I am mostly THANKFUL for everything, I wish to all of you happiness and love always Bonnie Academy team. read more
