I am giving her 2 stars because I think Karen would be a good co-parenting coach for families where neither spouse has any issues, such as domestic violence/anger management, drug or alcohol dependency, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, etc. In my case, it was not in the best interest of the children to spend more time with their father, but regardless, she pushed hard for equal time, even where there was a clear and ongoing risk of sexual abuse by a family member on the father's side. She seems fixated on 50/50 custody schedules, even when it does not make sense.
Later, when we had a parenting evaluation, she provided testimony to the evaluator, even after she explained to both of us that she would never agree to testify against either of us. If I had known that she would do that, I would never have agreed to use her. Be careful - she will not hesitate to pick sides and reveal information that you thought was going to be kept confidential! Overall, I feel that using Karen hurt my legal case and was not in the best interest of my children. read more
