2 Star - Disappointing Experience I genuinely wanted to like…read morethis company and had hoped we would have a positive experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We were a returning customer to Pawfection, we enjoyed the puppy training they provided our boy. We contacted Pawfection because our now 7-year-old Goldendoodle had suddenly started urinating inside our home whenever we left. He had been house-trained his entire life, so this was a concerning and unusual change in behavior. We were looking for professional guidance to understand and address the issue. We paid approximately $900 (fee plus mileage) for an in-home session that lasted less than two hours. The session consisted largely of a PowerPoint presentation (same presentation we viewed 7 years ago) with general tips and techniques for dog behavior. The trainer assessed his urination as behavioral. He recommended we purchase a citronella collar from Amazon, an additional $70 (wasn't included in the $850 fee) to redirect the negative behavior. 2 weeks later, 14 days, our pup was diagnosed with advanced dilated cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Sadly, his condition progressed rapidly and we had to say goodbye to him less than a month of Pawfection coming to our home to assess his behavior. I understand that a dog trainer is not a veterinarian, nor do I expect a trainer to diagnose a medical condition. However, given the sudden change in behavior, I was disappointed with the assessment and, ultimately, the value of the service we received for the amount charged. After he passed, I reached out to the company, explained what had happened, and respectfully asked whether they would consider a partial refund given the circumstances. That request was declined. At nearly $900 for less than two hours, I expected a more individualized experience and greater value. Unfortunately, both the service and the company's response afterward left us disappointed. He was terminally ill unbeknownst to us. I have no problem paying for the trainers time spent with us, but $900 for an animal that passed away two weeks after the assessment seems morally wrong. I truly wanted to have a positive experience with Pawfection, but I walked away feeling differently.

Highly recommended pet sitter!…read more We met Katie shortly after we had brought our Yorkie puppy, Chip, home. As experienced pup owners, we knew what qualities we wanted, and didn't want in a pet sitter. We struggled to find someone that we trusted with our "baby" and access to our home. One afternoon, we literally bumped into Katie on the corner near our house, and had a quick conversation! That led to scheduling a meet and greet at our home. Chip immediately fell in love with Katie and we loved how thorough she was with all her questions and follow-up questions! Hubby and I immediately scheduled a date night! When Katie & Chip had their scheduled walk & play time, we got the best video follow-up, with a text letting us know how the visit went. Katie even followed up with us the next day to see how Chip was!! Needless to say, we consider Katie & the Nona Paws crew a part of our family. Super responsive, super responsible, and an indispensable part of having a pet!!

First off, I am very impressed with their digital tools from onboarding/booking through the communication with the customer during their service. I saw it on my friends phone when traveled together and Nona Paws was caring for my friends pets. My friend has now used their service multiple times and feels completely comfortable with how they handle the house visits in her absence. The pricing turned out to be too steep for what we needed (long trip and two hrs/day) but it would have been a great deal if we had multiple pets as their price is per hour.
