Thankful to say, our sitter Mikayla not only showed up every day as scheduled, but she also sent updates via email for each visit per our request. Three times each day we got an update on Molly along with a couple of photos. Laura and the team made it super easy to get set up, to schedule the visits, and the overall experience was wonderful. Is Laura more expensive than the other service we used previously? Yes. Was she worth the extra costs? Absolutely. The peace of mind knowing that Mikayla was there each day and providing the updates created a stress-free vacation. We will be using their services again in the future.

I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) After some research, I found Paws and Claws and I am so glad I did! The owner and her fiancé are amazing! I called at the last minute to ask for a tour and she was able to accommodate my dogs and I and answered every question I could possibly have. The facility has a human present until late at night and then again at 6:30 am which is phenomenal and they make sure their last potty is at a reasonable time. She was able to get my two in for 5 nights of boarding at the last minute and made sure they were comfortable and adapted. Not only that, the owner was able to accommodate a late pickup on christmas eve. I felt bad but she insisted since they would still be there, and I was able to get my pups to be home with me. They were well fed, well taken care of, and exhausted. I will recommend them to my friends and I hope the business thrives because they certainly deserve it!

One weekend I decided to board my pups and was told I would not be charged twice for puppy preschool enrollment which is required when boarding puppies. Yet, the staff at check out advised that the package purchased did not apply to boarding. The logic is still lost here. I prepaid for a package, that during boarding, could not be honored? There was nothing in writing to support this policy, in fact I located information on their website to the contrary. I submitted my concerns to the manager via email, but my email was ignored, in that I never received a response. As a dissatisfied consumer I decided to withdraw my pups from the preschool, despite having 10 days remaining on their package. But, one evening the very pleasant student groomer reached out asking if I would be interested in getting my pups their first cut with her. She was amazing with my pups and did a great job with their initial bath and blow out, so why not. And, just for the day, I decided to give the puppy preschool another shot. However, prior to booking I double confirmed the cost. Sadly, I again experienced the same issue at check out, in that I was told the initial price quoted was incorrect. The staff member that completed my check out completely ignored my concerns and did not offer to honor the rate quoted, nor did she direct me to the manager. She was very dismissive and unpleasant to engage with, no eye contact, no apologies. To make matters worse, my pups haircut was unlike anything I could have imagined. There were multiple patches, uneven hair spaces, the pink of her skin was visible in multiple locations. My requests for her cut were not adhered to, and there was no explanation provided. In fact, when I submitted my concerns regarding the cut, I was told the very pleasant student groomer was unavailable. Ergo the risks of agreeing to a student groom. But, regardless of the groomers student status, at a minimum, an explanation as to what happened, would have been professional. The convenience of this location to my home, the seemingly pleasant pet environment, and the professional and courteous attitudes of most of the staff here, sadly doesn't make up for such egregious management oversights. I pray in the future, the management team here places more focused attention on the handling of consumer concerns.

We went to Cornerstone vet after the mobile vet we called told us our cat had diabetes and they…read morecould not handle the followup needed. Our other vet did not tell us anything about the bloodwork; basically scared us by telling us we would have to give two shots per day or our cat would be in a diabetic coma. The place is in a shopping center (same as senor tequila in winter springs); it was clean and has two entrances, one for dogs and one for cats. They even had a separate exam room just for cats! The room we were in was very nice and comfortable, also. This vet had a completely different take on the bloodwork: that when cats are stressed, the blood sugar goes up; that since our kitty had allergies recently (she asked us), the creatine levels could be high; that the bloodwork did not show diabetes but rather could be signs of kidney disease instead; and that it's unusual for a cat to start having diabetes at such an advanced age. To make a long story short, the vet spent a lot of time with us explaining the bloodwork results the other vet had done and what they could really mean instead; made the recommendation that we get new bloodwork in a few weeks; and NOT to change anything in his diet or life at this time as he seemed to be a happy cat. At the end, the price was so much less than the mobile vet ($50). We were so relieved and grateful for the great advice and knowledge that the vet had (sorry I cannot remember her name).
