We are new travel trailer owners, and shortly after bringing our RV home, we experienced an…read moreelectrical issue that would have required us to bring the trailer back to Happy Daze RV in Gilroy which is over an hour from our home. The Service Team responded to our concerns and took the time to understand what had happened. What impressed us was their approach to the problem. The initial conversations, the in-person diagnosis and the investigative work, helped us understand the real cause of the electrical problem. They remained focused on figuring out what was happening and getting us back on the road. As it turned out, the electrical issue originated with our home electrical connection and was something I had overlooked as a new RV owner. Throughout the process, Jennifer and her service technician, Pete, were patient, professional, and genuinely focused on helping us understand the issue and resolve it. Jennifer and Pete went above and beyond. What stood out to us is that Happy Daze isn't simply a dealership that sold us a product. Their service after the sale gave us something equally important as new RV owners--peace of mind and trust that we have people we can turn to when we need help. There is a lot to learn when purchasing your first travel trailer, and having a service team willing to investigate a problem, explain what happened, and help you through it makes a tremendous difference. Thank you to Jennifer, Pete, and the Happy Daze RV Gilroy Service Team for taking care of us and providing amazing customer service. You earned our trust, and that means a lot to us as new RV owners. Feel free to reach out if you need more details and insight.

And when you try to call and talk to them about the situation, they will hang up on you and not answer your calls, And the very ignorant lady in the office will sit there and try to talk over you the entire time. We should've known from the get-go because of how the rental started already the AC and the generator were not working so they sent my mom to the shop with the RV and had her sit there for several hours while they fixed it. We left on our trip and packed our food for our camping voyage and lo and behold we get there and the refrigerator has completely stopped working and our food has gone bad. We received the rental right after someone else and they did not dump the sewage and it backed up into the trailer. We also had no luck with taking a shower because the shower started flooding out out of the bottom The trailer into the storage area, where it completely soaked all of our things that we had stored. Forget trying to use the awning wouldn't even go out a quarter of the way. And when you return it and tell them about all these issues, they will tell you nothing about discounts or how sorry they were or anything. They will just charge you for running the generator longer because on the form it says you need to run the generator to get the battery charged enough to run the refrigerator so that that's what we tried to do And apparently, we ran the generator too long because they charged us for extra hours . Never ever ever rent from this place zero Customer Service. They just want people to rent from them so they can get their trailers fixed through other people's insurance. Would never recommend them to anyone . There were no broken pieces inside of the RV when returned so that doesn't make any sense. The actual Renter is my mother and my stepfather who I accompanied on this trip. And yes, things got heated on the phone call when I kept trying to speak and was being spoken over. When trying to voice my concerns and feelings they would just talk louder . Still zero accountability for all of the problems that we had with the RV.

My wife and I were doing more dry camping than we expected, and the all-electric fridge always drained the batteries in a day or two, even in the sun. We upgraded the system from 1 solar panels to 3, swapped the two lead-acid AGM batteries to two 300Ah lithium batteries housed in a new angular steel battery box behind the propane tanks by the hitch, added a disconnect switch in the battery box, upgraded the 30A solar controller to a 50A model, and added a soft-start to the AC so that my external Honda EU2200i generator can power the AC all by itself without bogging down. This was no small job! I have an electrical engineering background so I could keep up with them on the theory, but I was very happy leaving the actual install work to the experts so that it looks professional and stays dependable. I always felt like I was in good hands. We're camping in Mendocino now and very happy with the results.

Unfortunately, our experience was so disappointing that we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. When we arrived, we explained to the receptionist that our daughter had just called and needed to be picked up from work, so we only had about 25-30 minutes to look at a few RVs and compare layouts. We were initially told it was optional to leave our ID and contact information. We politely declined, but after that, the salesperson's attitude noticeably changed. We eventually agreed to provide our names and phone number, but he already seemed frustrated that he had to assist us. Throughout the tour, my husband asked several basic questions about the differences between layouts, sizes, and RV brands. Instead of providing helpful information, the salesperson repeatedly responded with comments like, "They're all the same," and often ignored questions altogether. It became so uncomfortable that I told my husband in Spanish that I felt we should leave because the salesperson appeared irritated and unwilling to help us. The situation escalated when my husband asked one final question about the differences between two groups of RVs. The salesperson became confrontational and told us we were "wasting his time" because there were "paying customers" in the office who were actually interested in buying. That comment was extremely insulting. We came to Camping World because we are interested in purchasing an RV. No customer should be judged based on how much time they spend looking or whether they immediately disclose their purchasing plans. We asked to speak with a manager. The salesperson went to get him while loudly telling his version of the story to him first. Manager Eric Boyd (had no badges claiming he was infact the manager ) he spoke with us. I asked if we could discuss the matter privately, but instead we were taken to a table in the front office where employees, including the salesperson, could still hear our conversation, despite there appearing to be a private office available. I explained everything that had happened and expressed how disrespectfully we had been treated. I was disappointed that the manager never said that the employee's behavior was unacceptable or would be addressed. I had to tell him several times to please address the situation with this employee which was walking around us so casually like he did nothing wrong , that lack of accountability to have his employee do such thing and not apologize was just as upsetting as the salesperson's conduct. I left feeling that we had been judged before we were ever given a chance as customers. While I can't know exactly why we were treated this way, the experience left me feeling as though we may have been unfairly profiled based on appearances rather than treated like potential customers. Buying an RV is a major investment, and every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they're browsing, asking questions, or ready to buy that day. Unfortunately, our family did not receive that respect, and because of this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Before arriving, we were explicitly told that appointments were required, that each appointment would take 30 minutes to over an hour, and that a team member would walk us through the process, show us the trailers we were interested in, and go over details and features. We were specifically told NOT to do a walk in, on our own and to schedule an appointment instead. We initially wanted to arrive at 11:30 AM, but based on the information provided by April, we waited and scheduled the next available appointment at 1:30 PM with Jeremy. When we arrived on time for our appointment, Jeremy immediately told us to go FOUR blocks away by ourselves to "look around," find VIN numbers, and pick what we liked. No assistance. No guidance. No explanation. This completely defeated the purpose of requiring an appointment and contradicted the entire pre-arrival information packet explaining how this experience was supposed to go. When we got to the lot, it was a disaster. There was no staff present, no labels, no signage, and no paperwork on the trailers. Nothing matched what was listed online. The QR codes that were supposed to help redirected to something completely unrelated. After driving hours and waiting for an appointment, we were left wandering around confused, frustrated, and angry, doing our own search with zero support. At that point, I was extremely upset. The wasted time, misinformation, and lack of basic professionalism were unacceptable. My husband reminded me that this was our only option that day since we urgently needed a trailer, and he hoped that at the very least the quality would be okay. When we returned to the front, I explained how lost and frustrated we were and told Jeremy which trailer we thought we wanted based on our solo search. Jeremy was ready to start the purchase process, but I insisted on seeing the exact trailer we would be buying. As I suspected, the trailer they brought out was NOT the one we had looked at. In fact, we never even saw that trailer on the lot during our own search. The entire experience was disorganized, careless, and honestly upsetting. My husband tried to stay optimistic, but I was beyond unhappy. If you do not care what you are buying and are okay being handed something random with little to no information, then this might be the place for you. Otherwise, avoid it. What makes this even more frustrating is that we were promised guidance and support before arriving. For a purchase over $4,000, the bare minimum would be providing basic information like the year, size, or features. None of that happened. At the end of the experience, we were given $50 off because a license plate holder was not installed and then latter comped/ added (thank you...) Jeremy did apologize to my husband once he understood how bad the experience was. The team did clean the trailer and help hook it up, but that is basic customer service and does not make up for how horrible the experience was overall. My husband now just hopes the trailer lasts and is made with good quality. I have my doubts. This place does not value your time, your money, or your experience. I would never come back and would never recommend this location to anyone unless you truly do not care what you are buying. Go the extra distance and find a local/ reputable dealership that actually cares.

The RV had to be ready to take me to San Diego where I will start my new job. As the inspection continued the number of mandatory safety and repair issues increased exponentially. I can honestly say they saved my life and probably the lives of everyone else on the road with me. This is no exaggeration. I am driving a 33000 pound vehicle. When you step on the brakes you need the vehicle to come to a complete stop safely. You want the lights to work, the electrical to work, the plumbing to work and the propane not to leak. Bay Area RV found and fixed so many crucial items that I would never have known about if it wasn't for them. Even though my total repair bill was significantly higher than I could ever have anticipated, I now have a safe , fully operational and beautiful RV that will last me for many years to come. I can't list all the details because they would be too numerous, but the number of times they have cut cost, discounted labor, and went above and beyond to work with their vendors and mine to get me the best possible price for the mandatory parts I needed is more than I think anyone else would have ever done for me. Even after I am down in San Diego I am going to drive that RV right back up here for any major work that needs to be done because I know it will be done right and with honor and with integrity. I can honestly say that they put me ahead of their own profits. My final bill was high but that is not their fault and it could have been much much worse if I had taken it to someone else. I don't want to exclude anyone on their amazing team but I do want to give a shout out to Alison and Alberto. You have made a friend and customer for life.

We stayed two weeks total & in that two weeks, we got multiple phone calls, site visits & notes regarding what we can & cannot have at our site. And while I understand rules & insurance policies, none of the items we had were unsightly, unclean, dangerous or even crowded. We were told we cannot have a planter box even though 2 potted/contained plants are allowed per site & MULTIPLE sites have more than 2 as well as other sites having planter boxes. It is only an issue for us. We also were told our contained trashcan has to be indoors & that it is stated on the rules. IT IS NOT & MULTIPLE sites have outdoor trashcans, again, it was only an issue for us. The site 4 spots down from us has a literal toilet & garbage outside, that's not an issue. There are multiple trailers with trash outside & that is also not an issue. I voiced my complaints to the office & they were EXTREMELY rude. Other tenants in the park told me similar situations had happened before resulting in those occupants ultimately leaving which we did as well. My fiancee travels for work & we have stayed in multiple parks, we always keep our site clean & tidy, we obey noise rules & other park rules & we have never had an issue anywhere else. This is by far the worst park in the Morgan Hill area & also the sites are infested with ants so if you still choose to stay here, make sure you bring ant killer. I will never recommend this park to anyone, it's awful.
