This bar is located through a fern covered walkway and just outside of a hotel. The menu is your standard issue frozen tropical drinkies, which my bartender Selena served with fun and flair. One of my friends from the ship enjoyed a mango cocktail. I, being a rum connoisseur, stuck to a couple or three piña coladas, some with coffee floaters. They were well blended that I was ready to enjoy the ship's pool and ready for Scarlet Night after returning to the ship. Definitely find this spot whenever you're in Key West!

This is by far my favorite Key West event of all throughout the entire year. Country Music songwriter greats from around the country perform at various locations throughout Key West. And the best part... most of the entertainment is FREE! There are two to three musicians on stage at a time. One sings a song, then the next and so forth in rotation. The talent changes every hour so you are never board. 2014 Heralded some amazing talent including Sarah Evens at the main stage on Duval, and the beautiful Kacey Musgraves and Sarah Darling, to name a few. The 2015 Line up is equally as compelling with Jack Ingram, the legendary Robert Earl Keen and Rhett Akins, Josh Dorr's return and Chris Young! Whether you are a country music fan or just plain love music, this is a don't miss event. Smokin' Tuna is an official sponsor, so look for your t-shirts and memorabilia at the gift shop here. There are a few performances that require ticket purchases in advance. Heads up, they sell out quickly. You can purchase CDs and have them signed by the artists too! Check out the Website for a list of 2015 performers for this year's event: http://www.keywestsongwritersfestival.com/index.html

The downside was the drinks were awful- the names looked fun on the menu- but they all tasted the same-sweet and boring. The show. Well this is the 4the drag show I've been to & the first I walked out of. It is not as though the talent wasnt entertaining- they were, but the 3 entertainers needed to have a part in the show- not BE the entire show. It became very redundant seeing these 3 come out and do the same routine to different music for 2 hours. Their outfits and routine wasn't exciting. Lastly- the audience understands they work on tips- it's implied...no need to repeatedly tell the guests to cough up cash. A 2 hour show with 3 entertainers is an hour too long. Tip- cut back on the introductions/opening- roll right into the show- you could probably squeeze in another showtime per night.

There was a struggle with getting a reservation online so I contacted the venue to reserve a VIP booth. They repeatedly asked for my credit card information and then I had to give them the information again upon arrival. We were seated in the VIP booth and immediately met with a server to order drinks. We thought everything was going well. The show started and we were delighted! The dancers came out and moved around the tables and came to the VIP booths last. Often, the dancers would stand with their backs to us at the VIP section. I expected a little more interaction with the dancers as we were sitting in the VIP section. We paid more money to be there. I recommend the dancers pay more attention to those sitting in the VIP section and start your journey throught the crowd in the VIP section.
