At the time of sale, the salesman indicated someone would be on site in a couple days to get roof…read moremeasurements. A week went by and no one showed. I called the salesman and he said someone would call that night, no call received. Called the next day and indicated that if no call was received that day, we would be contacting the owner. That worked. Got our phone call and an appointment was made to measure the roof. Nick and his super Andrew arrived as scheduled and did the measuring, we discussed our concerns about the tardiness of the first follow-up call after the sales. They agreed and ensured communications would no longer be a concern and it wasn't. Install date was established a week later and all was good, so we thought. Install was scheduled for a Thursday with the delivery a day or so before, all's good. Day before delivery install crew requested permission to start a day earlier and it was agreed. Delivery occurred around 12:00 and 12:30. The crew started around 1:00 PM. The roof is approximately 3500sq ft with a fairly steep pitch and 2 valleys. I monitored their progress throughout the day and the work and all was looking good. It began getting dark around 7:00 PM and they were still at it and finished at 8:00 PM. Since it was dark I couldn't see all of the roof but I was able to see the north side. I pointed out they had missed some enclosures along the ridge vents and I needed those installed before they left site since they had informed me, they were not coming back on Thursday for follow-up. I contacted Nick and stated what I had found and had the crew correct before they left stating I would be able to see the southside of the roof the next morning (Thursday). Nick advised that he would be up that morning as well to inspect their work. The Thursday inspection found they were short snow rail so instead of calling to have more pieces rushed over they decided to use valley caps instead. There appeared to be a screw on the ridge cap not fully seated as well. Also, Nick had found an enclosure was missing on the west side of the garage valley. Nick directed the crew to come back to the site and fix what they could at that time. They were shown what other corrections were required once the additional snow rail was delivered. The additional snow rail arrived that Friday and the crew was back on Saturday. Up to this point I was OK the roof looked good and other than some miss fires, which I attribute to them rushing to get done before they left, the work seemed good. The problem I had, other than the initial communications issue after the sales, was when the lead crew member got into a heated back and forth with me about 2 rivets that went on the just installed snow rail. He was refusing to install them and I was insisting. He stated they weren't needed I said they were since they were on all the other pieces. I stated that PMR wouldn't get final payment until that was completed and he said that wasn't his problem that was PMR's problem. He did finally agree to install the rivets as I was calling Nick. In summary the roof looks good and is functioning properly, meaning no leaks. The initial communications with PMR were disappointing and made me question my decision but Nick did a fantastic job keeping me apprised of things and answered my calls and texts promptly. The crew did not speak English thus making communication very difficult. A translator on site would have been helpful. Would I recommend PMR (?) probably but I would be wary of the crew they send for the installation. If not for Nick I dare to think how this would have turned out. He is worth every penny they pay him and then some.

However, they were the only one of four businesses to answer the phone when we had an issue which is why we went with them. Even after hounding them and making a stink regarding pricing they still came out within a day to service our system when we had an issue with the floats. The service after the fact, professionalism despite previous encounters, and the ease of contact is what earns them the 5 stars. Areas for improvement would be more competitive pricing and always pairing a senior technician with a junior technician.

Did a septic pump, found and dug up our distribution box, hydro jetted our leach system for roots (which we think was the cause of the back up), covered the D box hole back up. Daniel was also upfront about the charge for services, and didn't charge us more when the work was done. He is very knowledgeable and was honest in answering our many questions. He didn't give us pat answers like some do to pacify. We took off one star due to not having an invoice for services available upon taking our money. They wrote us out a hand receipt until they could email us the paid in full invoice. All an all, they did a great job! They are one of the few companies in the Fort Wayne area with advanced equipment to do hydro jetting and have camera's to investigate the problem when necessary. We would definitely recommend them when your situation requires more than a septic pump.

We have attempted to call the business and salesperson multiple times however they fail to give a direct answer as to when the installation will take place. The last attempt was on Monday, August 10th in which I spoke with one of their schedulers to get a time. She stated that they were waiting on the sliding door and that she would email me with an update, I once again received no correspondence. I feel like the company took our money and forgot about us, I would like to have the installation date set within the next two weeks. Absolutely no communication.... I would give negative stats if I could, but Yelp requires at least one....this company will take your money and forget about you...

Old Fort Roofing was fantastic from the moment we approached them at the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show in March through to the completion of our roof installation. Shannon was extremely attentive to our questions and needs. We interviewed a couple other roofers, but Old Fort Roofing and Shannon were the clear favorites. All our questions and concerns were addressed and answered. Time and care was taken to ensure we understood what would be happening and why and how. When it came time to remove the old roof and install the new, the crew was efficient, diligent, and very fast. The old roof and gutters were removed and the new roof installed in one day. The gutters were replaced with new within a week. There was one instance where the siding was damaged, but Shannon sent Scott our information and he personally came out to work out a solution with us. The damaged siding was easily replaced and looks absolutely fantastic. Scott also realized that the color we had originally chosen for the roof was not what was installed. My husband and I had commented between the two of us that the new roof looked lighter than we remembered our selection being, but were so pleased with how it looked that we didn't think too much of it. Scott surprised us with confirmation that the wrong color roof had been installed. He was incredibly apologetic and offered a couple of solutions. We were happy to keep the roof as it was installed and Scott gave us a discount due to the mistake. Shannon and Scott were both with us every step of the way and very friendly, very attentive. Overall, Old Fort Roofing ensured our interaction with them and our roof replacement was as effortless as possible. They are an amazing company with wonderful customer service! How hard is it to do a follow up with a customer that you wanted last March and paid you as soon as the roof was put on last March 2022? I was told that they were a hones great company. My experience has been different than what the Sales man told me would happen. He told me when he took my $8,000.00 we are not the cheapest, but we are the best you will be happy with Old Fort Roofing. Sorry to say I am very, very unhappy.
