I hired Craig Smith/Rock Gutters Home Services to replace my gutters and downspouts, replace the…read morefascia on the rear gable of my home and to replace and paint a 23" x 26" area of worn shake on the front of my home. I gave the 1 star bc his workers were cordial and worked hard. Craig came by at the end of the day to collect payment. We discussed that there were 3 things left to be done, secure one piece of fascia, attach one of the elbows to one of the downspouts and finish painting the replaced shake. 30 minutes worth of work at max. Craig said that they would be by in the morning to finish the job. I paid him because I could not imagine that a business person would risk their personal and business reputation over 30 minutes worth of work. After not seeing or hearing from him the next day, I texted him and he responded that they would be there the following Monday. Monday came and went. I waited until Wednesday to call. He did not answer so I left a message. No response. I called or texted for 2 weeks. He has never responded and the work is still not done. There are many reputable gutter companies out there. I would strongly recommend a different company but if you choose to use Craig Smith/Rock Gutters Home Services DO NOT issue payment until the job is complete. Check very carefully because he will not be back to finish the job if he gets his money.

Do it again only to find out that the parts they have ordered actually don't work for the our house. But that doesn't stop them from using the wrong parts . Only realized that the parts were wrong after they were told. Then they order the parts again. A total mess. A project that started in the beginning of Feb is still not done. The project left leaks through the windows. DO NOT ASK THEM TO REPLACE VINYL SIDING. After 6 months of back and forth, the windows still leak whenever there is a thunderstorm. Maumee River came and did a water test. Which is pouring a weak stream of water on the window and concluded that the windows dont leak. To date, wheneve there is a strong thunderstorm with wind, the window leaks. Now Maumee river refuses to do anything about it or give me a discount that I can use to get the leak fixed. Also refuse to let me talk to the owner because they say he is too busy. They did not do a thing right with the siding. At every step I had to complain to them. Starting from the person who estimated the cost and decided what kind of parts we needed, every single person who worked on the siding messed it up. Maumee River should either fix the leak or pay me to get the leak fixed.
