A great place for locals; ostracized is you're not from the area. Garbage food- the server was more concerned with smoking her cigarette and drinking beer with her friends than cooking. Trash. Don't waste your money. If you do try it- don't touch anything. I'm willing to bet would pick up something contagious from this place. I know what you're thinking- because it's a dive bar. NONONO Boo! I love dive bars. For me, dive bars are homey. This place..... this place is below a dive bar. Went once when I 1st moved here- will never go back. I don't care if it's the only place that has karaoke. Not worth the money. Go to soaring eagle if you want to throw are your money. Bonds DJ's Lounge in Farwell is the definition of your neighborhood watering hole. You know that place you always frequent because the staff and owners know your name, and remember your drink! This place has been my go to spot whenever I visit my little hometown. I normally wouldn't recommend a bar for it's food, but they actually have really good food. Black Angus burgers, appetizers, and the best barbecue pork sandwich in the area. Happy hour specials run every day from 11 am to 6 pm, and they offer evening drink deals during the week. Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon as we were passing through. As we walked in, we hit a wall of cigarette scent. We thought maybe it was someone smoking right outside the door. Then we had to wait for service as the bartender was chatting with friends at the end of the bar for a while. After we ordered drinks, we observed the staff smoking at the end of the bar. Illegal, impolite, and obviously the reason for the smell when we walked in. The bartender eventually asked if we minded if they smoked. "In the against the law way of smoking?" We left before ordering food. This place is horrible. read more

Fun place with good bands and a lot of friendly locals.

My friend and I stopped in here from out of town just looking for a quick drink and we ended up staying longer than expected and got to enjoy a great DJ. This bar is great, the DJ was awesome, and the staff was super friendly and personable! We will definitely be back! read more

Last night we went to DJ's for dinner and had a few drinks. It was more crowded than usual because of the college football game. Gloria ate the chicken fingers salad with Italian dressing. She said the lettuce was a little limp. On a side note, I will never for the life of me understand why we are okay with the name chicken fingers. I had the cheeseburger with Swiss instead of American, medium rare. At home usually we eat fresh trout from one of the farms I work with so it's nice to take a break but the menu at DJ's overall reminds me of my dad's retirement home when he was still alive. Everything's breaded. It'd be nice to see something unexpected. We settled in after dinner and I drank rum and Coke while Gloria stuck to Bud Lights. She loves a cold beer even in winter. At the bar there was a guy in a green sweatshirt slapping the counter and yelling "Bullseye!" every couple of minutes. I don't know if it had something to do with the game. A woman with gold hoop earrings and curly black hair threw her straw at him and shoved her way to the other side of the room. He followed her but he ran into the pool table and got distracted. The glasses at DJ's are usually clean. Last night I saw fingerprints on mine, gray smudges that looked like paintings of ice cubes. I think that's another reason Gloria prefers Bud Lights. The alcohol kills germs though. I cut myself off around halftime because we took the truck. Gloria started talking to someone she knew at another table: Robert the poet, who has a tightly cropped beard and always wears a wool flat cap. Robert lurched over his notebook scribbling as fast as possible, pausing occasionally to dip his ballpoint pen into his glass of Jack Daniels. Gloria reads mostly romance novels but she has gone to a few open mics and read her poetry. I think that's how she met Robert. It would be nice if DJ's did something like that instead of just karaoke. When we left, we found the guy in the green sweatshirt passed out in the parking lot. I checked to see if he was bleeding but he was okay. He lived north of the 10 close to Loon Lake. I dropped off Gloria and I took him home. We smoked a cigarette in his driveway. read more
