All the clothing I inspected- I am a shopper who dallies- was in impeccably good condition. I am not normally the type to blow a lot of dough in one place but I developed romantic relationships with several items and, even after strategically leaving the store to spend the afternoon thinking over whether or not I REALLY wanted them, I returned because turns out I REALLY REALLY DID. At this vintage boutique, the quality and one-of-a-kind nature of the piece comprises the price, which, though not cheap, is worth it if you are the type that cares for your clothes properly. You know what? I am not even one of those people- I'd call my style that of the "funky-slob"- but 2% to glory makes me want to start handwashing and putting in the effort. I just wanted to jump in headfirst and buy everything even though i didn't have a single dime on me. They definitely don't sell filler stuff here! everything is quality awesome stuff. Yes, it's pricey for what it is. usually i'd say "hell naw" and the odds are pretty good that i won't be able to shop here as much as i want, but like i said, there is good stuff here. a lot of the clothes are set up in sections in the shelves to go together. everything about the store is very appealing. as soon as i walked in i exclaimed "i didn't know this place was here!" and one of the girls who worked there looked up from what she was doing and smiled and chatted with me about their hours, etc. very nice, well dressed people here that aren't pretentious or rude! everything else about it is pretty straight forward. i'm just excited to find a nice place close to home that i don't have to dig for hours to emerge with only one good thing!

You are not allowed to touch clothes and if you do not like the things she has pulled for you, she seems upset. She also will dump her personal drama on you. While some of the clothing is unique, there are no tags on anything including prices. Sort of shady, and to be honest, I wonder if some of the stuff is used. She also is rarely there when the hours of the store say she will be. I once found the assistant asleep in the corner on the floor. Kiki was totally unaware she was there. If you are feeling like you have thick skin and want to fight the person you are buying from, it's worth going in there a few times. If you want to feel good about spending hundreds/thousands, you'll go elsewhere.

The really wonderful thing about Home Spun is that anything they can't sell in the store (cutting boards and irons and the like) they offer to the residents of Project HOME for free. So if you're looking to donate, I highly recommend you donate here! I stopped by yesterday (for the first time) to check out their clothing selection, and was really impressed with some of the finds. I bought two designer work dresses for $6 each (normally dresses are $10, but they had a 40% off sale)! First of all, Project HOME is a wonderful cause that I encourage anyone to support. 100% goes back to their organization that helps homelessness. Second, I have found clothes such as a vintage dress from J. Crew, a business dress from Theory, and other great finds -- and I have never spent more than $10.00 each visit. Rightfully, it is listed as the best vintage store in town. The staff there were great, and a person helped me get dressed when I needed a hand. Also the aroma in this place was quite lovely. I'm not sure if it was incense or some kind of oil diffuser. I bought a $15 mod dress on sale, and it was much cheaper than what I would expect it to be at some of the other vintage stores near by. Unfortunately the same can not be said for what she did to my rehearsal dinner dress. She ruined my dress. There is a hard white stain on the center of the chest. That was not there when I dropped it off. The bag I dropped of my bag in was completely dirty with stains all over it. That was also not the condition I dropped it off with. Nichole refused to take responsibility and I even paid for the other items I had altered as I didn't tiff t it's fair. Not to. I brought my dress to the dry cleaners hoping they could get it out but they said it appeared that the dress had been crazy glued and there was nothing they could do without further damaging the dress. This is a 1k dress I paid $479 for and I can't even sell or wear it now in this condition. Nichol refused to reimburse me for damaging my dress and never even had the decency to apologize for something that definitely happened in her care. I've been a customer for 10+ years and I will never go back to her ever again.
