Shopping at consignment shops…read moremight not be for everyone but fashion gets recycled and it is these places where you can find some of the original style from past decades. I once dated this rock-n-roll guy and every time I commented on his cool style he always said...I found it in a thrift or consignment store. I get giddy when I find a piece that fits my sense of style. Today was one of those days...a dark denim A-Line skirt with a zipper in the front. The only one hanging and in my size!! I also tried on a pink top that caught my eye but was hesitant until the cashier, Danni, said she liked it on me when she saw me trying it on. Sold! Everything is neatly sorted by size and different types of clothing. Ex: tops, shorts, jeans, pants, jackets, shoes, athletic wear, etc. Danni told me that the owner is very particular about accepting clothes that are in great condition only. There are always new pieces coming in every week and I look forward to dropping by again the next time I am in the area. I found the prices to be very reasonable.

You can find a good mix of deals with some items that get a bit of side eye on the price. They also have a discounted/sale section on the lower floor. I like that they have a couple of good size, clean rooms to try things on.

I took my time walking around…read moreand was surprised by just how much they have, plus-size clothing, kids' items, quilts and fabrics, a kitchen section, tons of dishware, vases, figurines, shoes, handbags, jewelry, heavy coats, vintage pieces and more. I took a look through the plus-size section and saw some cute and name-brand pieces, but the clothing wasn't organized by size. You really need to give yourself some time because I probably could've spent an hour or two just sifting through the clothes trying to find things in my size. I was mostly interested in the home decor, figurines, handbags, shoes and jewelry. The bags I saw were in very good condition, and there were some super cute shoes! My only issue was organization again, the shoes weren't clearly arranged by size, and with so many shoes and people shopping, I wasn't about to go through every pair trying to find my size. The jewelry wasn't really my style unless you're looking for earrings or colorful, chunky statement pieces. I'm unfortunately a little plain and boring these days when it comes to jewelry. Where this place really stood out to me was the beautiful decor and figurines. There were so many interesting things to look through, and I also noticed a great selection of heavier coats. One tip: don't come expecting to run in and out! This is the kind of thrift store where you need time to dig, browse and see what treasures you can find. Security was also on it around closing time and made sure everyone knew it was time to wrap things up. Overall, there's a huge variety here and truly something for almost everyone. With a little better organization, especially by clothing and shoe size, this would've been an even better shopping experience. I'll definitely take another gander when I have more time to really look through everything.

The Thrift has a large variety of sections, including wall art, knick knacks, clothing, and larger pieces of furniture. This is one of the "secret" thrift stores where all of us vintage-aholics congregate. It's dirty…read moreand smelly and HUGE!!! A warehouse, filled with clothing, furniture, books, housewares, shoes, etc. A paradise for any brave shopper! And cheap! Did I mention cheap! However here's the rub... nothing has a price. Now, a word of advice. The crappier you look, the cheaper your item will cost. In my experience, the owner (who prices all of the items when you check out) will significantly raise or lower prices based on how you are dressed. That may sound paranoid to people who aren't in this business, but that's flea marketing 101. And hey, it's understandable. He wants his items to sell and, if he thinks he can get more $$ out of you (because you look like you have money), that's what he'll try to do. But, he will also bargain with you. Especially if you have multiple items. Score! Anyway, if you aren't afraid of a little dirt, grime, and the occasional smell of urine, this is your best bet to find "treasures beyond compare" in this city.
