It was dry and tasted artificial(?) - def not moist as tres leches should be. I had to serve it at the party because I didn't have a backup cake. With 10 people present only half the cake was eaten, with a lot of it left on their plates. I don't feel I can call to express my dissatisfaction, due to the language barrier. (I love the Hispanic culture and I know I need to take the time to learn Spanish.) Nothing personal, but this cake was very disappointing, and a bit embarrassing to serve to our guests.

The owner/baker met with my husband, daughter and her fiancé for a lengthy meeting about wishes for cakes for the wedding. She is the kindest most caring person and we felt we knew her at the onset. We had tall orders for both the bridal and groom's cakes and she delivered! The cakes were magical, exactly what we all talked about and we were beyond delighted. So many compliments! No one wanted to cut them. They were very large and personalized. Well worth the money we spent. I would highly recommend Sweet Angel cakes for any of your events. You may not want to go as elaborate as we did, but whatever you de ice with her you will love it.

Since everything in the Bluff View Art District's hours are limited, make sure you call first to see what their hours are for the day. They have a fabulous assortment of fresh-baked and delicious breads and sweet treats. My favorite is the challah bread. It's so soft, fluffy and very pleasant tasting. Rembrandt's Coffee House around the corner from them also sells their breads and baked goods, so you have a second option if Bluff View Bakery is closed. You have parallel street parking and there is also a private lot beside the store. Delicious adventures await!

Was told have to goto a separate building to find ice. When I arrived at the next building the ice machine was empty. So this is just the beginning! So woke up the next morning and no food or breakfast is located in the three or more buildings. You have to walk about a city block away. When you arrive for breakfast your food is delivered in a cardboard box - which was actually gross ! You will NOT wake up to fresh coffee, orange juice or anything in the common area. You will find all areas are locked except for a very cold room with an actual church Pugh bench in the common area. Next I return to the room and the maids were outside. I asked for extra bathroom towels and was told "can only give you more towels in exchange for your dirty towels. I also asked for another blanket to sleep with and the maid states " now I have to goto the other building for that". Later that day I turned on the shower, the shower knob was stuck on all hot, and could not even take a three minute shower. The actual room had a small television in the wall, behind the television was a curtain. I moved the curtain back to find a huge hole on the wall (where and old tv was filled with dust). Tony's pasta restaurant (onsite) was a sodium filled nightmare. Tried the pasta- over cooked , the meatballs were unetiable. Not sure where the chef was from but I am certain nobody could ever say anything positive about the menu. Purely disappointed and disgusting. The owner was so mean and rude! View more

Icing are thought to find... in other places it's chocolate or fruit or the icing is hard, but not at B's! The cookies and icing are soft and delicious! Get a lemon bar, get a cinnamon roll, and definitely get a salted caramel cookie (especially if you ldont mind the stickiness of caramel in your teeth) I wish I got one of the King Cakes this year, I bet B's would do a fantastic King Cake. It should not be on me to followup on invoice. I will not ever be be back as small business I get mistakes happen but this was just poor communication and service. I planned weeks in advance thankfully Baskin robbing supplemented and was even able to personalize cake . I do get mistakes happen but there was no communication . I love to support local but this was a fail. i had to call my daughter and tell her im sorry I couldnt make your birthday cake wishes come true. Just sad that small businesses have faults.
