I've been using BonaFide since I moved to London, over a decade ago. And so far they never failed me (touch wood). They are always my first choice, apart from affordability they also have something special that I find hard putting into words. I guess you call it enthusiasm? Spring in one step? Whatever it is I like it and I feel at ease there even when I am under pressure to meet my deadlines. They get things done to high professional standard without making big deal out of it. Maybe that is what I like the most about this place: their nonchalant attitude about their great skills, like its a norm and nothing to boast about... As I live in SW now I don't use their rehearsal space as much as I used to as it's far for me to travel. But you should. Affordable, nice and with that special intimate atmosphere, you won't regret it. As for their recording and post production services, I'm happy to travel. I recently moved to London and I needed voice over done with just few days to spare before my deadline. Friend recommended Yelp as a good source to find what I was looking for and he was right. Within few hours of contacting few studios I had my booking with prompt Nina from Bonafide Studio who went out of her way to accommodate me answering all my questions with patience and care. Voice over recording session went smooth. Brian, sound engineer, walked me through ensuring that my voice was done justice. I am glad that I have listened to all his suggestions as the result exceeded my expectations. My client is very happy with the sound and wants me to do few more projects. Bonafide Studio is a little gem tucked away in Muswell Hill. They have a good size rehearsal space and a recording studio situated under disused railway arches (now parkland walk). Transport is surprisingly really good (loads of buses stop close by) and yet you almost feel like you're in the country. Everyone is friendly and passionate about what they do, the rates are really affordable and the facilities are great. My band and I have been rehearsing there for almost 6 months and we have recorded an EP that sounds amazing. It was our first time in the studio and the sound engineer Brian made us feel comfortable and understood exactly what we wanted to achieve and helped us make it happen. Go there and make some noise! What a great day, superb studio felt very comfortable which is a bonus as it all helps for a good recording . The engineer Brian Bogdanovic was fantastic, he knew exactly what sound I was looking for. I left with my songs recorded well and sounding great. Extremely pleased. I really enjoyed my two recording sessions with Bonafide Studios earlier this year. I recorded a double A sided single, and I was over the moon with the result. I cannot recommend Bonafide Studios enough, not only are they musically fantastic; but they were also very understanding when I had to rearrange due to poor health. The location is just great in a very nice private area with Muswell Hill main street just 2 minutes away with plenty of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. They are very big supporters of musicians in general, keeping their prices very affordable and always kind to help with every enquiry you have.
