The car definitely had issues, but it turns out it was due to drive belt, timing belt, transmission oil, and air intake hose. We also had a battery causing starter issues, but we knew about that. V-Tech took car of it and charged us a low price! The car is driving great and we're super happy!

Because my OBD2 port is occupied by a JB4 (installed through them too), they had to custom hardwire the entire gauge and tap the fuel line for my ethanol sensor. Since the standard P3 tap doesn't fit the 2.5T, Tyler engineered a flawless solution by removing the throttle body/charge pipe to install a custom spacer fitting. The plumbing through the firewall and dashboard is very clean, and the car looks entirely OEM. I'm fortunate enough to live near Pacific German, cause they are hands down one of the best places to go for your Audi/VW.

It had some work done for the engine cam covers and of course regular maintenance, but the suspension bushings that Shawn recommended to fix ASAP 9 years ago are still holding up great. How does this logically make sense? Here is the quote from Shawn at the time (2017): "I'm glad you have been able to get a year of use with these bushings. Continue to have them inspected as you have been and maybe you'll get another year out of them! Or maybe you'll just have to replace your tires or control arms just a little sooner than you should have..." That is some fear-inducing threat. Seriously guys. Take my word for it. Stay away.

The guy tries to give me some BS price on a transmission in which my car didn't need. He was trying to say $10K, and I'm like buddy, it's $1500 for a rebuilt. Then he said, well I got to pay my bills, and this place is expensive monthly. Like I care about your bills. If you're a bad mechanic that can only make money off scans and oil changes then I don't think you should be able to pay your bills honestly speaking and you should go out of business. Also how I found out what was actually wrong with my car was by replacing my battery. Then purchasing a $300 Durametric device, I was then able to use it to scan the car for codes. The Durametric gave me the codes on my laptop. I then used an AI to help me read the codes and clear the low voltage errors. I then test drove the car for 30 minutes and to no surprise I didn't have a transmission problem, and it was really a low voltage problem because of the old battery. Now, in conclusion this guy is an absolute However on the bright side, I now have the confidence to open up my own Porsche shop and charge people 9 grand to each person instead of 10. But after repeat terrible, dishonest, scammy/slimy-feeling experiences at local dealerships- I decided it was time to look elsewhere for service. I found Mesman Motors online and saw the great reviews and decided to give it a try! So glad I did- they were very transparent about pricing- the price quoted on the initial phone call was the same price we paid for the service and on top of that, they had a 10% first time customer discount, which was greatly appreciated! It's also nice that it's walking distance to a lot of local food/drink businesses- can walk over to Kona Loa for a coffee during the service.
