I brought my vehicle to Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall because it is still under warranty and needed repairs. From the beginning, the customer service was very disappointing. The service advisor who assisted me, Dioel, treated me poorly throughout the entire process. His attitude was unprofessional, and he did not show concern for my situation or offer helpful solutions. I asked for transportation assistance, such as an Uber or any help getting home, and was told nothing was available and that I had to be placed on a waiting list. I also asked about getting a rental vehicle, but no immediate solution was provided. What made the situation worse was that the rental information was sent to me two days later at 4:00 PM, after I had already made my own arrangements. During that time, I received no meaningful support or communication. When a vehicle is under warranty and the customer depends on the dealership, a much higher level of service and professionalism is expected. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. This place is horrible. I have no idea how they are the largest Chevy dealer in the nation. They advertise super low prices to get people in the door and then charge outrageous dealer add ons and when it's done, you are not saving anything. I learned of this tactic from researching the internet (Reddit) before I called about a truck that I was interested in. I spoke to someone on the phone and explained that I lived 14 hours away and wanted a final price before I travel to the dealership. He said the prices advertised on their site were the final price. I challenged him and asked him to send me final numbers. He said they are not allowed to do that. I then said ok, can I record you saying that when I walk out the door, the final price I will pay is the final price advertised. He wouldn't say yes and said they wouldn't let me leave without making a deal. Just a tactic to get me trapped there so they could apply sales pressure. I visited the Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall dealership today (17JUN2025) around 5:00 PM. I spoke with the salesman, Mr. Eric M. I mentioned that I have been a loyal Chevy customer, having previously purchased a Chevy Cruz and a Chevy Volt when it was the Grand Prize. Furthermore, I informed him that I was shopping for a car for my mother, who urgently needed to replace her Chevy Cruz with either a Chevy Trax or an Equinox. During the visit, several points were noted regarding the interaction: 1. When I indicated that I was pressed for time while he was trying to Pre-qualify me while slowly pacing his questions, he responded that he also needed to leave. I thought, "Then why are you here?" 2. He did not provide a printed quote, citing company policy, despite my clarification that I did not intend to take the printed quote off the premises. I explained to Mr. Eric M that the reason for the printed copy is that I stare at computer screens all day at my job, thus making my eyes tired. 3. I repeatedly asked Mr. Eric to keep cash and finance pricing separate, as it was hard to keep track of the final cost of the car while he was breaking down the final price. However, he failed to listen to my request. I also requested a printout explaining the reason for the printout. 4. Finally, after compromising, I started to glaze at the iPad with sun-glare on the screen; I began to minimize the screen and confronted him about three add-ons, which he failed to disclose. When confronted, he shrugged off, stating they were built in--nothing he could do. Immediately followed by offering a rebate/discount, saying they are free now. 5. I chose to leave the dealership because, deep down, I felt this was some shady business practice. He then mentioned he would make an exception by providing me with a printout, but after five minutes, he returned with his iPad, stating a price of $24xxxx, and continued to mix finance and cash pricing. I question it and the employee behind the counter could not explain to me what it was for. She directs me to the service agents he tells me it's a dealer fee they charge 12.5%. I brought my 2020 Chevrolet Blazer to the dealership due to a steering system failure involving a critical safety-related component. My vehicle has only approximately 55,800 miles, has been properly maintained, and was only a few months away from being fully paid off. A failure of this magnitude on a well-maintained vehicle with relatively low mileage was completely unexpected. I understand that my vehicle was outside of the factory warranty period. However, warranty status does not change the fact that a major steering system component failed at only approximately 55,800 miles. While warranties have limits, customers also have reasonable expectations regarding the durability and reliability of critical safety-related components. In my opinion, a repair exceeding $4,600 involving the steering system on a well-maintained vehicle with such relatively low mileage is not reasonable and should not have occurred so early in the vehicle's life. Bomnin Chevrolet informed me that the repair would cost approximately $4,663.26 for parts and labor. However, despite the significant cost of the repair, I was also informed that the required steering gear assembly was not available and would need to be ordered. I contacted multiple Chevrolet dealerships myself and was repeatedly told the same thing: the part is not in stock and must be requested from GM, with no guaranteed delivery date. Depending on availability, the wait could be days, weeks, or even months. While trying to find a solution, I worked with GM Customer Assistance for weeks. Despite the seriousness of the steering failure, the only assistance ultimately offered was $690 from GM and an additional $63 from the dealership. Considering the cost of the repair and the circumstances involved, I found this level of assistance disappointing and inadequate. To make matters worse, I submitted questions to GM in writing and requested clarification regarding the approved assistance, parts availability, and repair options. Before driving to W Kendall from Ft Lauderdale (long drive) my daughter received assurances from Gio there were no hidden charges. They decided to meet at 2:30 yesterday. He was at lunch and never showed up. The second salesman was more professional and proceeded to tell my daughter, if she had read the small print she would have seen, in order to get all the discounts needed to bring the truck down to the advertised price she would need to prove she owns or has owned multiple completely unrelated cars. I would like to respectfully share a concern regarding the design and warranty coverage of Chevrolet headlamp assemblies. Many newer Chevrolet vehicles use fully integrated, sealed headlamp units. When moisture or condensation develops inside these assemblies--a fairly common issue--the entire unit must be replaced. Unfortunately, once the vehicle exceeds 36,000 miles, replacement costs are extremely high. What is most concerning is that Chevrolet's extended protection plans do not cover these sealed headlamp assemblies. This leaves customers unprotected for a critical safety component, even after purchasing extended coverage directly associated with the manufacturer. When components are designed as fully integrated and non-serviceable units, it would be reasonable and fair for such parts to be included in extended warranty coverage. Alternatively, a more serviceable and affordable design would better protect customers from excessive out-of-pocket expenses. Chevrolet makes great vehicles overall, but this issue creates an unnecessary financial burden and places customers at a disadvantage. I hope Chevrolet will consider improving coverage or design policies to better support and protect its loyal customers. read more

Despite having an appointment, it took over two weeks just to get a diagnostic. I was repeatedly told there was only one transmission mechanic handling more than 20 vehicles and that I needed to be patient. For over a month, I called every other day. Noel was always either "at lunch," "in a meeting," or simply "not available." I even visited in person--only to be told, again, to be patient. In total, my vehicle was with them for 45 days, and I didn't get it back until after Christmas. Then in June 2025, the same transmission issues began again. This time, I took the car to Bomnin Chevrolet Homestead, hoping for better service. I was assigned to advisor Jason. As of today, it's been 50 days, and my vehicle is still at the dealer. I'm facing the same pattern: I call, and the receptionist gives me excuses--"the advisor is in a meeting," "out to lunch," or "everyone's in a meeting." I leave messages. No one calls back. It took 30 days just to get a diagnostic. Then I was told they needed to contact the extended warranty company. Here's the frustrating part: I contacted the warranty provider myself, and they told me the dealer hadn't even scheduled an inspection, despite the advisor telling us otherwise. The first time this happened, the warranty only approved repairs--not a full replacement--which is likely why the same issue returned. My experience with the finance department was confusing and misleading. At signing, finance manager Edgar Ramirez told me the first payment was set for "two months." Later, GM Financial showed my first payment due March 23 after a February 6 purchase. When I called to question this, Edgar Ramirez changed the explanation to "45 days plus a grace period," which was never disclosed at signing. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. We took our car in for service in May. Driving to work the next day it broke down on the highway. When I opened the hood there was fluid spilled all over the engine. Called Bomnin and no answer or got voicemail. Finally able to track down a regional manager. Turned out the mechanic didn't tighten a hose and it popped off leaving me stranded. They got me towed and took care of the car. We were very hesitant to take it back but wanted it checked out so we can plan for services in the new year and budget accordingly. After a $6,000 estimate?!?! We opted to get the brakes done. They charge $200 to look at the car and this was one service we could roll that into. $1,000 plus a 3% credit card fee the cashier doesn't tell you about until after you swipe your card and we were on our way. The car has mostly sat for a week but then I ventured out for last minute xmas shopping. Got the check engine light and message that car was overheating and had to be turned off. Wouldn't you know I broke down across the street from Bomnin. I opened the hood and noticed steam coming from the coolant reservoir. There were no leaks, no evidence of fluid anywhere in the engine and then I did a double take. The steam was coming from the reservoir because Bomnin didn't replace the cap!!. I walked across the street and our assigned service guy David had the day off. A woman tried to help but asked if I had an extended warranty. A warranty against Bomnin service people?!?! NO. After a LONG WAIT, the manager Ruben got a container of coolant and walked across the street to look at the car. He poured the coolant in and waited, I presumed looking for a mysterious leak which never materialized. I drove the car to the service bay and he got me a new coolant cap and thanked me for my business. Once is a terrible error but TWICE!!!! We even reminded David about our last experience and he said that was then but not to worry now. I can't imagine I am the only unlucky Bomnin customer and from the other reviews I know I'm not. But it doesn't seem to affect them. They are successful and have enough business without worrying about the business they lose or they would provide better service. He told him I said the tires were not rotated. The tech just took the keys, said okay and went to the shop with vehicle. No mention of sorry or anything. I watched him do the rotation thru the window. Seems like they are taking many short cuts on servicing vehicles, at my expense. Not rotating tires would cause for additional wear which will cost me additional expenses because they did not last as long as they should have,, because of not rotating. Shame on Bomnin. Tried to call the dealership to get a reimbursement on the purchased lights that we had to buy and install OURSELVES, only to be told "only the manager can approve this." Could not get any information regarding who the manager is or what they will be doing to resolve the issue that THEY are at fault for. Not sure why this is such a mystery when a simple Google/LinkedIn search provides plenty of public information. I'm sure you can guess that we have yet to receive any phone call or correspondence regarding this issue yet. Not to mention, the LoJack that was supposed to come with this vehicle was MISSING! Surprised? We aren't. Before making any decisions, do your research--there are numerous detailed accounts on Google, Reddit, and Facebook exposing their questionable and often shady business practices. You're far better off visiting an AutoNation location in Broward County, where customer service actually matters. This dealership is solely focused on closing the sale, not supporting customers after the fact. Many of the glowing reviews are solicited immediately after purchase--before customers have a chance to uncover any issues. Trying to buy a new truck here. These guys are completely dishonest in their pricing. This dealership wants $1699 for a bedliner installed, while they are 899 and 999 at over 20 other dealerships here in Florida I checked with. These guys adverstise rebates and specials on their website. Looks like a great deal. But when you arrive, the rebates and offers are only for first responders and teachers, which they did not mention in 3 calls I made to the dealership. I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case it is very necessary i have been dealing with this since October 2024, i purchased a 2024 Chevy Traverse in this dealership the car after just 2-3 days of having it the car broke down in the middle of the road it wouldn't turn on, it had to be towed to the dealer i was told after almost more than a month of being in there that it was transmission issues after this less than two months after the car was back with the same issues and this has been happening since i got the car and it has happend 5-6 already i have a little baby and i have been left many times in the middle of the road by the car. I have spoken to everyone at the dealership and no one seems to be able to help i have spoken to general motors and no one seems to be able to help, i need to know what i need to do and if i need to contact the news or who do i have to speak to so i can solve this. We had a terrible experience here . My Coast guard son tried to purchase a vehicle from them . He told them he had a very short time frame because he was leaving for his new duty station . The car was supposed to be ready for today because he's leaving to go across country tomorrow . The salesperson Joseph didn't answer phone calls. He then text my son at 3pm and said the car wouldn't be ready for 5 more days because they were waiting on a part . We called a different dealership in the area just to see if the part was in stock and it was . We then go down to the dealership and not only was the sales manager rude and arrogant , he offered no solution to the problem . They could have easily sent someone to the other local dealership to pick up the part but didn't even offer that . They had already run my son's credit and made the deal and they totally screwed him . I would not do business with this company . The sales personnel are unprofessional and rude and had zero respect for my military son . He had already sold his previous vehicle and they left him vehicle less right before his big move that he was already stressing about .
