Stopped by bombshells on a Monday just to get out, and it ended up being a pretty good night. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken not gonna lie, it was actually really good. Service was great too, super attentive without being too much. We played pool and ended up staying about four hours just hanging out. Drinks were solid, no complaints there. Only thing I'd change is the music it just didn't match the vibe at all. Kind of all over the place and not really bar-type music. Overall, I'd still come back. We stopped in yesterday afternoon to watch the Astros game and have some lunch. We sat at a round cocktail table over by the bar/patio area. The manager came up to us and dropped off silverware and menus and said someone would be right with us. 10 minutes later we still had not gotten approached by a waitress. So we left. There were maybe 5 customers in the restaurant, and it was 1 PM on a Sunday! We kinda laughed when we pulled in the parking lot because there were barely any cars parked. I guess the lack of greeting customers and taking orders is why there wasn't anyone there. We ended up going to Logan's Steakhouse and that was excellent and got great service. Food is alright, ordered the Carmen Miranda and the buffalo sauce is on the side?! The description reads "tossed" in buffalo sauce but the buffalo sauce comes on the side...then our party of 9 ordered Mexican Candy shots - they were hot. Wasn't the best first impression for me. The restaurant seemed to increase in heat temperature as the time passed. It took almost an hour for our drinks and food to come out, even though there weren't too many people in the restaurant. My chips and queso were good. This is our go to happy hour spot for all of my coworkers that live in Cypress. I've only been a few times, but the wait staff knows them by name. Happy hour is every day 11 AM to 7 PM. The location is pretty easy to get to before 5 PM and there is a ton of parking. The staff is friendly and they wear different outfits depending on the daily theme. Thursdays they wear lingerie. I usually just drink beer or shots here so I can't speak much to their cocktails. I find it very funny that they serve orange slices with Casamigos and it low-key bothers me because when did oranges become the go to citrus instead of lime for tequila? That's gotta be a 29 and under thing lol. I try it because they urged us but no. In my opinion they definitely have better bar food than most. I really like the platters, bomb poppers, and fried shrimp. If you're looking for decent prices on brews, ample seating and visual entertainment I highly recommend Bombshell's on 290. read more

huge place with fun and upbeat music, food is good but it ends about there. Our server said she was new but she probably should've been trained another 2 weeks with that kind of service. We asked for drinks and they took a minimum of 10 minutes to show up, oftentimes incorrectly. our party of 12 had food coming out in increments, fine until some of us are done eating while others still have not received their food. When we were done eating and asked for checks, she could not for the life of her figure out who got what, we waited 30 plus minutes for them before receiving them also incorrectly, adding on another 10-15 waiting for correct checks, which still did not show up! I then used the restroom where I ran into another staff member who came out of a stall and went straight back to work without washing her hands. I fear that's quite unsanitary. I chose to stop by this place after bowling a few games at Windfern to grab some late food and maybe a beer (totally sober). The two managers on duty - Mr. Kurt and Mr/Mrs Amber (I wasn't sure of his/her gender) and their unnecessarily hostile demeanor should be documented, hence this review. Upon walking in one a Friday night, the place was empty, with only a group of bartenders singing Karaoke near the bar, dancing with each other. Five or six guys sat around the bar patio, paying no mind, drinking their cheap beer and nose-deep in their phones. After making my way through the dance contest that was occurring between the servers and some over-served patrons, I ordered a 16oz Stella and made my way outside, where customers weren't present. I made my way near the far corners of the outdoor patio where I wouldn't bother anyone and decided to light a CBD cigarette I had purchased earlier that night, legally. After receiving multiple passive-aggressive sighs, nods and eye-contact avoidance from the Bombshell management braintrust Kurt and Mr/Mrs Amber, I decided to put my cigarette out to address the obvious, awkward stares. By no means did I want to imply any disrespect to the two managers, nor disregard Bombshell's high standards of clientele conduct they advocate, so I quickly made my way around the stale, greasy, hair-infested blowup pool bar and politely introduced my self to Kurt and she/he Amber - who refused to shake my hand or look at me for some reason. I then apologized and reciprocated my intentions, with the clarification that there was nothing illegal that I was doing, but I understood the business implications the "smell" and impact that might have on there quest for attracting whatever demographic they're after. While talking to Kurt and continuously trying the shake Amber's hand with no success, he informed me that Bombshell's doesn't care what the law is in the state they operate, I would be arrested next time. After one more attempt at shaking Amber's hand despite having no interest in having a simple conversation with a paying customer, I told him that wouldn't be necessary and that it would never happen again, but I'd appreciate it if he and Amber would address issues like these with a little more managerial professionalism and empathy next time. If these two lifeless, ignorant, and unwelcoming individuals are the ones in charge of this business, their inability to recognize how empathetic communication impacts customer retention will be the demise of Bombshells, where chicks are paid to dress in as little clothing as possible. read more

The food at this location was so-so. The dinner salad is great, but the personal size pizza is not really a true pizza but more of a doughy flatbread. What was annoying is that they charged me an extra almost $3 for having them use Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce on said "pizza." And, no, the waitress never mentioned the extra fee. Their fish tacos were also only okay. The cod has a lot of breading on it and it gets soggy in the ghost pepper sauce which is more sweet than spicy. We waited a very long time for our food. The waitress did forget to bring our food out, and only brought it out after she noticed us looking at her while she sat down for a break. Then she went back and brought out our food, so the food could have been a tad warmer if we'd gotten it when it was actually made. She barely checked on us during the meal, and after we asked for a to go box, she never brought us the check until we asked for it like 20 minutes later. Definitely do not recommend this place for dinner. This may be an ok place for lunch bc it is what it is. This was one place above a strip joint and if you are aware, it is. Upon entering no one greeted us the girls basically just gathered together were on their phones and if they did look at us they would stare... it was odd. Our server asked us our drinks 2x (first time I assumed she forgot she even asked ) When we got out food she didn't really check on us again. This was my 2nd visit here. Thus time with a few friends for after work drinks. First they are located in a fairly large shopping center and they don't have private parking. You have to drive around the lot until you can find a place to park. You could end up being far from the restaurant. Once you get to the restaurant you have a option of either sitting inside or there is an outside patio with an outside bar where smoking is allowed. I decided to try their ribs which came with two sides and I had a Samuel Adams beer. The ribs were very tender and the beer was very cold. They have a pretty extensive menu and a large variety of beer. One of my friends had the salmon and he say it was very good in another head to some wings which he also enjoyed. One of the more enjoyable ports about eating dairy or the waitresses outfits they are very short so it could be distracting at times LOL. This was my first time trying this place and it wasn't anything special. I knew not to have high hopes for the food, but I'm willing to try anything once. I tried the gunner burger and it was less than ok. It taste like they threw it together. The pickle and French fries were the best thing on the plate. I also had the bombshells punch, which was a nice fruity drink. I was hoping I could depend on the bar having good drinks. The taste was fine, but it made me feel nauseous. The liquor didn't do what it needed to do (very weak). All and all, the girls look good. The food and drinks aren't good. You can at least come for the music and socialize with friends. read more

Went here last night around 11pm, seated quickly, the servers we tried to flag down numerous times, not happening! Several passed by lots of times no help. After 15 minutes we order drinks at the bar. Awful, loads of juice no liquor you can clearly see from the photo I posted. Asked for drinks to be remade, Manager comes over to argue you down that they will be the same. I was in super good mood so I didn't indulge in conversation but simply asked that they be remade. They were & made better. Bottom line can't do this place. Didn't order food, processed to a different restaurant to eat. Can't do it! Save yourself the headache & choose another place.to go. The last time I was here, your bartenders were more concerned about serving their regulars than anyone else at the bar, so I left after one beer, which took 10 minutes to get. We have been here worth a party of three for lunch on February 21, 2020. The whole place was pretty packed but we have been lucky to secure three seats at the bar. The service was very welcoming, friendly and supportive. We started with various from tab and the focused on ordering food. The pictures do not contain all food ordered but at least provides an element to make your own judgement. We had a pizza (which was huge and I think we took a way more than 50% to go. We also had salmon with mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli - that's portion was manageable lol - and finally a side salad and penne chicken Alfredo - I had to put 50% of it to go. It was all delicious though. Compared to similar chains I think the food menu is too big and overwhelming. Nevertheless we all had a good time. This place is your typical chain restaurant. Service is good, food is ok. Not sure if it's the location or the mediocre food but this place is usually less busy compared to other similar places in the area. The pizza is not quite as good as Little Caesar's. Burgers are standard chain restaurant burgers. The corn flake and Cap'n Crunch coated chicken fingers from the appetizer menu were surprisingly good. Their fries are also better than typical chain restaurant fries. Their ketchup is terrible, almost like someone thickened the sauce from a can of spaghettios. Not sure who makes it because they bring it out in a small metal cup instead of leaving a bottle at the tables. read more

Okay very good food to start this post. Been here a few times and like most places I did not enjoy the food once out of perhaps 14 visits. No one is perfect but when they strive to be then they are close enough. Had the M-2s ( southwest eggrolls) and absolutely a must for starters. Nothing like an asian egg roll but more of an egg roll crust with southern heaven inside. Then had the fish tacos for first time and wow. Soft tacos with a nice crunch inside. Fish cooked perfectly and the pickled crunch enhanced everything without too much overflavour. Then a spicy kick after a few seconds to finish off but not over the top...just perfect. Here for the Steelers Game (we heard it's a Steelers Bar on the weekend-yup, sure is!) Feels like home. ------- Yes, my Yelpy Fam, I'm a Steelers Girl. I married into it, but, really? There are about 10,000 TVs in this place. Every table has their own, all the wall space is covered with them. Plenty of seating on a rainy Sunday. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch a game. Ordered a. App (since we had lunch not too long ago) and a few drinks. We went for the pickle spears- they won't disappoint. The serving size is totally shareable (like, for four, the two of us made a meal out of them). Breading was just the right amount and had a great spice to them. Served HOT. Has the WMDs a little later (jalapeño boats with cream cheese, pulled pork, bbq sauce, cheese and bacon). There's good flavor here, but they could use a bit heavier portion of the pork to really bring out the 'umph' in them. My Bloody Mary left much to be desired. (I asked for no shrimp and needed up with no garnish at all. Womp womp). The red white and blue colada was a saving grace: it tases like a snow cone at the ballgame when you were a little kid. Yum! We went on a Saturday night. You'd think it was overly packed worth the fight on but no. The service was quick and pleasant. Our signature drinks were quite good, one was overly weak but management promptly corrected it saying they agreed didn't look proper. The atmosphere was electric, clean and well lit. Management was very attentive to everything throughout the night. I would definitely go back and take others to enjoy this place. Place is actually really nice inside. Lots of TVs and overall you can tell they put a lot of money into the place. But its basically another version of Hooters / Twin Peaks / Chula's. They have some expensive specialty drinks using cheap ingredients. Beer selection sucks. The menu looks like you could be at Chili's. Place had a bathroom attendant on a Sunday night. Not sure if they are really there to make sure no one steals the faucets or tag the walls. I find this annoying in such casual places. Can't wash your hands without feeling obligated to give someone a dollar. I would stick with one of the other places I mentioned. Shame because it really is nice inside. read more
