I am an old high school friend of the owner Luisabel and in high school she would always do our hair and makeup before we'd go out. I had booked appointments for myself and my 3-year-old daughter--a dry style and a kids blowout--because we had a mother/daughter beach photo session scheduled. Unfortunately, due to a poor weather forecast, our photos were rescheduled to the following day. I called to see if it would be possible to move our appointments to Monday, but was told the salon is closed. I then asked if we could switch to other services, like pedicures or waxing, since getting our hair done before a day of swimming (on Monday) would be a complete waste of time and money, not to mention unnecessary heat styling. I was told only hair stylists were available and no alternatives could be offered. I also asked if I could receive a credit for a future appointment and still be charged that day, but this request was denied as well. I understand and respect the need for cancellation policies. However, these were two concurrent 30-minute appointments, and the complete lack of flexibility--even for a long-time, loyal client--was disappointing. I was told there were no exceptions and that I would be charged in full. As someone who has frequented this business for a decade, I would have hoped that loyalty might carry some weight. It feels short-sighted to risk losing a long-standing customer over two 30-minute services. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception, and I won't be returning to Cloud 10 in the future.

During my initial phone consultation with Bri, she was very excited about my vision for my wedding day makeup (an editorialized, enchanted forest meets dark academia, fairy princess vibe). She didn't try to put me in a box or simplify my ideas, she was all for bringing them to life. Throughout the wedding planning process, Bri was responsive when it came to answering my questions, advising me on picking a hairstyle/accessories/colors, and accommodating special requests (e.g., allergies to certain products). On my wedding day, Bri and her team arrived on time and worked very efficiently on 8 bridesmaids and a Mother of the Bride. Even with touch ups, we finished ahead of schedule. She was also very receptive to feedback - any time my bridesmaids had changes or didn't like something she had done, she was willing to change it and even redo it. Her assistant, Devon, who did my hair, was also just as receptive and adept. I loved both my makeup and hair: I felt like Rapunzel from Tangled. My makeup was dewy, whimsical, and youthful, but also regal and dramatic. I had a full face of makeup to achieve that ~magical~ vibe, but it didn't feel like traditional, boring bridal makeup, and I still looked like myself. For my hair, I was going for a romantic, breathless, whimsical look, which Devon achieved. My hair remained intact throughout the night, but strategically placed wisps and strands of hair gave me the flexibility to dance, jump, and enjoy myself without worrying that I was going to ruin the look. I would DEFINITELY work with Bri and her team again. She even provided a complimentary touch up kit for each person as part of the service, which kept our makeup fresh throughout the long day and night. I'm very picky about hair and makeup and she EXCEEDED my expectations!
