They have shelf-stable items, refrigerated and frozen products and a small selection of fresh produce. For prepared foods, they have sushi from Sapporo Sushi and Poke bowls from Mr. Poke. They have some Gimbap, and Japchae too, I believe from Raon Kitchen, but I'm not entirely sure on that. They do carry Raon Kitchen kimchi. I love that they have a few freezers devoted to Korean ice cream!! You can buy by the box or individual bars. Their prices are quite good. I bought a couple of individual ice cream bars and they were $1.20 each . I bought some sliced rice cakes to make Tteokguk and a 500g bag was only $3. I also bought a 50g bag of dried seaweed for $3.69. All items were imported from South Korea. There's lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

I made a mental note to return sometime to check it out. When I got home I did some internet searching and discovered that they opened around December 2020, so they are relatively new. As the name suggests, it's an Indian Supermarket. It's not that large, but bigger than a convenience store. They sell some frozen foods, refrigerated foods, shelf-stable foods, and some prepared snacks and desserts (no prepared meals). No fresh produce nor fresh meats. Almost all of their items are imported from India. I picked up a Butter Chicken mix ($1.49) and an instant Kheer package ($2.79). As well as some prepared snacks: 2 vegetarian samosas ($0.79 each), a Manchurian puff ($2.29) and a pizza puff ($2.29). I loved that they had Falooda in bottles. Unfortunately they contained ingredients that I can't have, so I had to pass on them :( Their selection of spices and mixes was great. As was their selection of different types of flours, grains and pulses. However, I was disappointed with their selection of teas, cookies, and candies. The samosas and puffs were ok, but nothing special in my opinion. The samosas were particularly oily/greasy. The filling was mostly potatoes with some peas. They only had vegetarian samosas and this was their only variety. The puffs had minimal filling. I don't know what was supposed to be in the Manchurian puff but it just tasted like spices and dough. The pizza puff tasted like it was filled with just tomato sauce and spices, I didn't taste any cheese. They had Indian desserts like barfi. And also some cake slices. The cakes were advertised as egg-less, so good for those with egg allergies. Service was neutral. The supermarket is in the Emerald Plaza and is right next to Chatime. Lots of free parking.

It's where the old McArthur Lanes Bowling Alley used to be. Green Fresh Supermarket is an Asian supermarket. It has lots of fresh produce, frozen items, refrigerated items, and shelf stable items. I was impressed with the amount of bubble tea ingredients they had. They had not just tapioca and jelly but also popping boba, and agar pearls. I have not seen the latter 2 at any supermarket before. They also have the lowest prices in the city that I've seen for Kracie DIY candy kits imported from Japan ($4.99). Their prices are a bit cheaper than other Asian supermarkets in general. They have a weekly flyer with even more discounts posted on their website. There is a bubble tea shop inside the supermarket called World Tea House and also a kiosk that sells bubble waffles called Nana Egg Bubbles. They don't have any other prepared foods though (like no BBQ station) and no Bakery. If you're looking for Asian items, you'll likely find it here. Free parking in their private parking lot.

There was a whole spice aisle and I was tempted to buy a bunch of things that weren't on my list, but I didn't have much time to browse and had to stick to the plan. I was able to find the mahleb (ground St. Lucie cherry pits), 7-spice, and yeast pretty easily. There was a shade thing that was covering all of the meat and cheese and my husband tried to open it, but it wouldn't give for some reason and we didn't want to break anything. It was a bit hard to see what was behind it, so I asked the only employee there for some help. He pulled up the shade really fast and immediately picked up the akawie cheese I was looking for. He asked if I needed anything else on my list, and I had another cheese on it (kashkaval), but he said they no longer have it because it wasn't very popular or selling very well. I wasn't too worried about the prices, since I was looking for convenience more than value, but everything I got was affordable. You can find this market in the same plaza as Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters with plenty of parking. I love shopping at T&T Supermarket with such a vast selection of fresh produce, seafood/ meat, dried and fresh noodles, bakery goods, teas, premade foods/ meals, etc (there is also a hot food bar you can pick from and serve yourself and pay by the weight). My husband and I stopped by this particular location this afternoon. It was pretty busy, but that was expected on a Saturday. We got our cart (requires $1 to use but you will get it back after you return it) and then went inside to shop. Coming from Montreal and shopping there earlier this week, I was surprised to find that some of the same items at this location actually cost a little more. For example, I was looking for this special Hong Kong Milk Tea bag that saw that it cost $1 more for the box than at the location in Montreal. I like that this market is clean and does not have that familiar smell that some Asian markets may have. Aisles are wide enough to navigate your cart through and each aisle is labeled accordingly to help shoppers find where they may want to shop in. During this shopping visit, my husband and I ended up purchasing a live lobster. He really wanted to get some seafood during our trip and also that the vacation rental we are staying in has a good size steamer in the kitchen and figured it would be good to cook it while we are here. For lobster and crabs, you pick the one you want and place it in one of the plastic baskets, then you can bring it up to the employee behind the seafood counter and they will weight it for you, bag it and place a price sticker on it for you. I like that there is a self check out area, as the line for that went by so much faster than the other lines. Overall, a positive experience and would frequent this location if I lived here.

The Long Version: My parents first introduced me to Green Fresh when they only had one location (the OG that was on Selkirk, that has since closed down). It was dingy and run down, but had lots of Asian ingredients that they were looking for. And it was the closest Asian grocery store to where they lived. They were thrilled when it moved to McArthur and had a total facelift, it was new, bright and clean. Green Fresh then opened a second location in Nepean on Merivale, closer to my neck of the woods. Then in January 2025, they opened this third location in Kanata/Stittsville. It's in the Grant Crossing, where the Bed, Bath and Beyond used to be (next to the Value Village). This newest location is very similar to the Nepean location. It even has the same bubble tea vendor inside (Y-Not Go For Tea). Which is a bit funny because the first Y-Not Go For Tea location is inside the Hunt Club T&T and T&T and Green Fresh are competitors! The Vanier Green Fresh has a different bubble tea vendor though: World Tea House. I visited this Kanata/Stittsville location shortly after opening, so maybe they don't have all their stuff together yet because although they have a section labelled "Bakery" they didn't have any baked goods :( However, they do have a prepared food section. It's self-serve and you pay by the weight ($2.29 per 100g). They also have a counter where they make Jianbing, Chinese crepes. There was a huge line up for these when I went, so they are definitely popular. They have lots of items, including snacks (my favourite aisles), lol. Most of the products are from China, but they have items from other countries too. They had Kracie DIY gummy kits imported from Japan. And they were only $4.99. The west end is now flush with Asian grocery stores (T&T, Kowloon, now Green Fresh, and soon Sunny Food Mart) compared to the east end (to my parents' chagrin).
