The ladies are always nice in the front - I've been going over here for over five years ever since I've moved to California. My doctor for chip fill in - Thanh Ngo is the most arrogant and rude doctor ever. Regardless of his skills: his comments of not caring, making the chip fill in a serious issue and with a tone that sounded like I was signing up for a serious procedure, and would make weird comments when he was working. For example; I chipped my tooth with saving a cat up the tree, it seriously did happen and when I gave the reason - he told me that he hated cats and wouldn't care if cats died but having a dog dying would make him sad?! I was baffled while in my chair and couldn't even say anything. Afterwards, I was commenting on a white spot on my teeth that I had for a couple of years. He told me, it's my problem and he doesn't care. Wonderful my local dentist telling me he doesn't care about an issue with my TEETH! When you get permanent work done here make sure you ask for the length of your warranty. Apparently the warranty for a $3000 implant is a year. I'm sure the place my parents have gone to have been at least 2 years. I got mine done back in 2022 and found out the screw was so loose it was painful and my face was swollen a week ago and Thu at their front desk told me to just pop few Tylenols for it. A week later I showed up and they took an X-Ray and told me normally it's 150 to twist tbe tooth back in place but since I'm an old patient they'll charge $70. This place makes me laugh. Doctor was getting to me next and then they brought him back to help another patient when they realized I needed more treatment. HAHAHA This place is laughable indeed Update: it's actually $200 and they claim the "doctor" is charging this price. The treatment for me is that he'll be putting in a healing bolt in place of my implant tooth cap and wait 2 months for my bones to heal. For $200. I'm honestly not recommending anyone get braces here. I got mine when I was 18 and went to the consultation by myself without my parents. They told me I needed eight teeth extracted all four wisdom teeth and four perfectly healthy teeth. I had an overbite, so I trusted them because they're the doctors and they had already scanned my teeth. I didn't even tell my parents until after everything was done... and later I realized how unnecessary it was. After years of braces, I'm left with gaps everywhere. Food gets stuck, floss slides right through because my teeth don't even touch. I have at least five noticeable gaps that never fully closed. And here's the wild part: my last tooth bite was literally facing outward. The day they took off my braces, I told the doctor and he had the audacity to say, "Oh! I just noticed it now. So... do you want to keep your braces on to fix it or not?" Like... huh??? Aren't YOU the one who's supposed to FIX my teeth? What kind of question is that? On top of that, every visit was a mess. Either I waited an hour, or the front desk scolded me about being late even though my doctor only worked there once a month. Yes, once a month. They never told me that before I committed. If I missed one appointment, I had to wait a whole month to see him again. What kind of office even runs like that? I started going here this past year after my previous provider stopped accepting my health insurance and at the recommendation of my partner who has been going to Bolsa Dental for nearly a decade. I had to get an infected tooth removed that the team had been monitoring from previous visits. Dr King went over the procedure and options. The team provided timeline and pricing all up front, which had been lacking at my previous providers who typically don't let me know costs until ad6a procedure. As soon as I walked into the office, I was greeted with kind and friendly staff. This was a huge plus point for me! I had a total of two appointments. Prospective new patients be advised: this clinic engages in fraudulent practices! The medical staff themselves are fine and lovely, however, the management are actually crooks. I came in yesterday with a dental emergency as a new patient to have a cracked white resin filling repaired - only because this office happened to be open on a Sunday and they said they could see me same day! Once I finally got into the doctor's chair, the doctor wanted to do an amalgum filling to replace it (the old school silver fillings which are proven toxic with heavy metals). When I said no, please just repair it with the same white resin composite filling (which has been the industry standard for more than a decade), the office manager then appeared and told me a bold faced lie: "Medi-Cal does not pay for resin composite fillings".... ‍ I literally have several resin composite fillings in my mouth, all covered by Medi-Cal at various different *honest* dentists in the state. I wish she'd told me her 2-bit hustle *before* i waited 2+ hours. So, be forewarned! This clinic is run by liars and cheats, who will say false things on what your insurance does and does not cover, in an attempt to either perform a cheaper procedure or upsell you to make a higher profit. These criminals should lose their license to practice, and all the "nice doctors" are complicit for going along with the farce. Shame, shame, shame. read more

Amazing experience! I could/have cried. The Front Desk was friendly and informative of what I needed to fill out as a first time patient. X-rays went really smooth and the offices/cubicles were really clean. (Looks like a lot of new flooring/lighting/equipment) I haven't been to the dentist in over a decade and was super nervous about being judged, as I took off my own braces in highschool. Dr. Tam was super amazing and patient with my current state of my teeth, and was super clear on what needs to get done to get me on the right track. We're friendly but also going to the office to get a dental service done to get out. It is not a place to listen to: places you like to go, your foods to eat although you have bad teeth, health, other unfavourite things ... the staffs and doctors in my experience have been so nice to respond to such customers in the last visit. So when it's my turn, I told them that you do not have to be polite to me . They laughed and asked me to write a review if I can. Here is. I have been a customer of Bolsa dental for about 2 years or more and I have had tooth cleaning and dental implant services done by Bolsa dental. The doctors here have good hands. Of course, everyone has different dental conditions and may have different experience with different doctors. Bolsa dental office is always busy with people waiting when I walked in with an appointment. In my recent appointment, they let me in on time. And it was also on time last time, too. It also opens on Sundays for only appointment. Staffs are nice and explains things when people asking. Doctors/dentists are also attentive to questions & took time to explain. Most of the doctors have worked years and can speak Vietnamese. My implant doctor can not speak Vietnamese, he speaks English and we communicated perfectly. I asked an office staff (in Vietnamese) something about my tooth as it was shown on my tooth photo image; she answered some and referred to the doctor because she said she did not know much. When the doctor came in, I asked the doctor directly although the staff can translate English. He listened, looked at the tooth photo, explained, and told me what should I do to keep good teeth briefly. after the surgery, I left with a small plastic bag of medicine and pain relievers to take for a week to help with healing and pain and some advice for bad reactions after surgery. Dr Hao Ngoc Quang is amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of dentist offices (especially with former experiences that i've had before). But she is very gentle and careful, and definitely takes her time when cleaning your teeth. She explains thoroughly and makes sure that you understand, and really cares for your oral health. She is very easy to talk to as well! Dr. Khiet Nguyen is also amazing! He gets the job done quickly and efficiently. He also cares about your oral health and explains thoroughly. For some, he may be a bit more heavy handed, but he still does his work carefully and it is not painful at all. The assistants here are also kind and very helpful! read more

Scammers and Unprofessional, Rude Dentists and Front Desk Staff! I went to this office a few months ago which I wish I never did. The front desk people cannot speak properly English and that creates frustrations for patients. The front desk people including their manager extremely rude and unprofessional and aggressive. I had one of my teeth needed some attention. Dr. Matheu told me to do both teeth in order to look the same so that was one upselling point like used car dealership. I accepted to have 2 crowns done one was covered by my insurance and other one I had to pay out of my pocket. After a few months one of the crowns came off. I went to the same guy (who calls himself a dentist he cannot even cement a crown in the patient's mouth) very rude and upset telling me the tooth came off it was my fault!!! That was the most stupid excuse someone can come up with to not accept any liability for the poor unprofessional job they did. He said I have to pay $50 in order to re-cement the tooth which I found it outrages. Nevertheless, since he held me hostage on the chair, I was forced to pay the $50. Also he tried again to upsell me I need to do implant for the very same tooth that came off and the cost would be about $3500. So If I needed the implant at first why you placed the post/crown. Next day I called my insurance, and they told me they were not supposed to charge me for that since the re-cementing and any other work on the crown supposed to be covered for 12 months which I put a stop payment on the card. This is the way they run business, doing a poor-quality job and it come back to them they charge more or try to make more money on patients!!! At the end I went to other dentist and was told there was no need for implant, the other Dental office professional and honest they removed my 2 crowns and placed 2 new crows for me. There was no need to pay $3500 as the scammer dentist and Bolsa Dental tried to scam me for unnecessary work. I can't I'm good faith recommend this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid for dental cleanings and braces back in the early 2000s. I can't tell if it's management change, but the service my mom has been getting for over a year here has been more and more negligent. Last time they sent her home after she complained about a chipped tooth and food being trapped between her teeth causing her pain and inflammation of the gums. They told her there's nothing wrong and sent her home. The time before that, they drilled out a cavity and left it open. They told her that its complete and nothing else needed to be done. I had to complain that there's literally a hole in the front facade of her tooth and can't eat nor drink without pain before she wanted to see her to fix it. I decided last week to get second opinions from another dentist in the area and they said she needed a root canal, and to have her chipped tooth fixed, and they are concerned for two cavities. Each time we come to Bolsa dental, they'll clean my mom's teeth then schedule for another cleaning in a few months. I can't recommend coming here for anyone more because of the negligence. read more

Now that I'm older, I started looking into cosmetic dental bonding to fix the shape of my teeth. I met with Dr.Ngo for a consultation and she was the sweetest! She explained the pros and cons of the procedure and I really appreciated her honesty. She even offered to do a mock-up so I can see what my teeth would potentially look like after the procedure. She really took her time to answer all my questions and adjusted the shape to my liking. She also offered to polish and make adjustments to my teeth a month before my wedding to make sure I have the best smile for my big day.
