The front office staff were so welcoming and I was seen right away with such short noticed. My fallen crown issue was addressed and the least invasive option to provide relief was offered (cemented). The doctor was thorough in explaining the potential causes of my problem. I was thrilled to be able to walk out with immediate comfort and great care from start to finish. I came in for a couple x-rays because I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile and they wanted to make sure everything was alright. Within the same visit the staff had offered to do a regular cleaning which I agreed to do and I'm so glad I did! Dr. Toan Nguyen, who is immensely friendly and professional, discovered that I had a cavity and offered to fill it on the spot. I was in and out within less than an hour of my original appointment time and couldn't be more satisfied with the fantastic work done. My husband and I went here for basic cleaning and exmination. We found this place on yelp because of good reviews and it was open during the pandemic. Doctor Vy and her assistant were very nice. Dr. Vy's work performance was excellent which she was gentle and she explained details of every single steps. She allowed me to hold the mirror to watch the whole process. The first visit was smooth and excellent until what was promised was not provided by the front desk personnel/receptionist. 1. On the first visit, I request a quote for the wisdom tooth procedure, base on Dr. Vy's recommendation. The receptionist promised to call us later for it and she never called. 2. After 1 month, I decide to go to another dental office due to my discomfort wisdom tooth. I called this office and requested a copy of my Xray through email. The receptionist promised to email and (again) never send any. My husband had to call back to ask and she asked to come in to pick it up in person. At this point, I prefer a digital copy for its picture accuracy and easy to store and access. I called this office and ask again. 3. I talked to the receptionist and explained to her my request of an electronic file of my Xray on USB drive or to email. Her response was the office does not have any internet. So if anything that has to use the internet she cannot do. Then I recommend if she could transfer an electronic file to my USB and she said maybe if I can come and show her how. She does not know how to do so. So the next day I came, she denied to try to look for a way. She said she can only print it out. This is a very frustrating situation when the technology has taken over paper storages, and when the receptionist did not do what she promised. How can they keep the customer? No wonder why this office is very old, outdated and bad front office. read more

I have a SEVERE dental phobia and as a result, don't see a dentist very often. I am so thankful for Dr. Toan Nguyen and his staff at Saigon Dental for the care they have provided. Dr. Nguyen is a brilliant dentist and a very compassionate person. His strengths are shared by his assistant. Kim was so kind to me and always provided comfort when I was uncomfortable. They were also very helpful working with my dental insurance company to maximize my benefits with the needed work. I found Dr. Nguyen and Saigon Dentistry after I broke a tooth. I was seen immediately. The broken tooth was removed. A deep cleaning was performed. I was so impressed with his skills, his compassion and his "no shaming" attitude that I decided I wanted him to "fix" the rest of my teeth. I can't emphasize how terrified I was of any dental work. In the last six months, Dr. Nguyen has performed several crowns, fillings and a lower partial to give me the ability to properly chew my food. As someone who is very apprehensive going to the dental office and having tools stuck into my mouth, this dentistry does not meet my needs. I have gone here three times now, hoping to give the place a chance. X-rays are done every visit rather than once a year (likely to bill the insurance for more). Staff try to hurry you through the dental cleaning process. Not much time is spent going over your individual results or going over dental cleaning technique. Dental hygienist there has extremely rough technique. I feel like I'm just a number rather than an individual. I would like to start off by saying that the receptionist, Dr.Vy, and all of the assistants in the office are wonderful & very accommodating. The receptionist is an excellent patient advocate and was able to get me rescheduled with Dr.Vy for my dental work, but I chose to go to another dental office instead since my recent visit left me with a horrible impression. This review will be focused on Dr. Toan Nguyen. What started off to be a supposed simple trip to the dentist turned into a complete utter nightmare. This was the first time I ever had an encounter with an apathetic & unprofessional healthcare provider. I can now see why some people are reluctant to seek out the care they need after having a horrible experience with one HCP. After receiving my x-rays, Dr.Nguyen pointed to my x-rays and asked me, "So what happened? What do we have here?" and waited for my response. I was taken aback since I have never had a dentist ask me to try to interpret my own scans before. I replied with, "my teeth were sensitive so I wanted to get them checked out". Afterwards he told me that I had two cavities but, since I looked "apprehensive", he was reluctant to work on me and wanted to refer me to another clinic where they would put me under general anesthesia. I was confused since I had a cavity filled here by Dr. Vy a few months ago and it went smoothly. Once I told him this, he began using scare tactics by telling me that, "I'm not going to lie to you, it will hurt" & that, he won't work on me if i'm going to be fidgeting everywhere. I'm not sure how I appeared to him at the moment, but I was not fidgeting in my seat or anything to show signs of extreme anxiety. I, like many others, have an aversion to dental work. But I'm not the type of patient to jump out of the chair when I start feeling the slightest discomfort. Knowing this, Dr. Nguyen kept pressuring me to seek out a referral and out of nowhere said, "Look at this point in my life, I don't do what I do for the money, I do it because I want to help people". Shouldn't he have this mindset from the very beginning that he got his license? Did I accuse you of attempting to extort me? No, I didn't - I don't understand why he suddenly got very defensive. He soon got frustrated with me and left me to work with another patient in the next seat. Guess you're not at "that point in your life" after all. While working on the other patient he started taunting me by asking the patient how old he was and comparing his age to mine saying things like, "yeah see and we had to do tons of dental work on him and he did fine". What was really disrespectful was when he refused to speak to me directly although we were only 10 feet away from each other and made the receptionist speak for him. He started telling his receptionist, "tell her i'll work on her if she's a good patient", "tell her i'll work on her if she promises to stay still and cooperate until the very end", all in front of the other patient. Dr. Nguyen, how about YOU be a GOOD DOCTOR? Dr. Nguyen, your bedside manners need work. As a patient who is coming to you for help, you should not be acting this way. I am inclined to believe that you're still practicing solely for the money since there are multiple reviews / cases of you attempting to scare patients into getting unnecessary procedures done. I was open about my anxiety and you weaponized it against me, amplifying my distrust and fears of dental work. I am sure you violated HIPAA by openly talking about my case in the presence of another patient while I was merely 10 feet away. I get it that "difficult patients' ' take more patience and time to work on, but imagine if you went to a hospital and the provider refuses you care because you look "apprehensive", without making any attempts to comfort you at all. I hope "at this point in your life" you will reflect on how your words and actions affect the quality of your patient's care. Needless to say, I will not be returning here. Dental offices are a dime a dozen around this area and it won't be difficult to find another doctor who treats their patients with decency & respect. read more

Absolutely the worst dentistry I've ever ever experienced. I'm 65 and they pulled a tooth and left part of the tooth in my mouth. i wouldn't ever have known if I didn't go to a different dentist. I called them and asked why they left it in. They said to come in. They stated it was close to me sinus. And would try and that's what he said I'll try to remove it but didn't have the tools that day to do it. Omg. I went to another dentist and he said it wasn't even close to my sinus and popped it out in 30 seconds. Don't ever go there. Bad communication, sloppy office just all around bad bad. read more

Went to this dental for two cavities filling and the staff here is really nice. The dentist who took care of me today was Dr Toan and he made sure to be as gentle as he can be. Whenever there is discomfort he would stop and ask if you're okay. If the procedure was about to be done, he would give you reassurance that you're almost done instead of powering through. Great part was that he communicate really well and is fluent in English. If you ask him questions he made sure to answer. Instead of a okay you're done go home attitude, he made sure the customer is satisfied. Best part was that it's clean and sanitary, he made sure that he and his staff is protected for both the customer and himself. read more

I came here by my friend referred but she said remember refuse deep cleaning because they always ask that ( regular $50 - deep cleaning $400 ). As she said the guy dr told me he cant do regular clean for me just because my teeth have swell. Its not true i went another dental they done well regular for me. Saigon dental is not an honest office, they charge you extra for teeth Xray without telling clients a head of time. I come in on June 23, 2022 for teeth cleaning, and was charged extra 30 dollars more on top 80 dollars for cleaning teeth. I was disappointed with their integrity . Phuong the lady who works at the front desk makes you feel right at home when you walk in the door. Everything is on time and extreme professional. I am normally really scared of the dentist and have a tough time going to the dentist but my mom recommend for me to come to Saigon Dental for my crown and it was the most pleasant experience I ever had. On my appoint days I would get a call prior to the visit to be inform about my visit or if I need to reschedule. The staff is extremely friendly and kind with working with the patients, I have a bad gag reflexes and it was hard for them to work with my tongue pushing back, but they work through it and made me feel like It was a problem. BEWARE I called this place hoping to get a filling as my tooth was turning gray. Instead of helping me with what I needed they pretty much did a cleaning for me instead, which I assume they wanted to do to add a charge to my insurance company. Then, after that, the doctor leaves to talk to the assistant and after a little time later, they come back to me stating that my insurance does not cover a tooth filling and requested money from me. I told them ill think about it and went home to call my insurance only for my insurance to say that they indeed do cover it. So I come back and tell them i called and they said they do. The lady then tells me that she will call herself and see if she can check on the status of it only to tell me to come in a certain date and then tell me there that it is not covered. Who am I supposed to believe my insurance or the lady trying to make a quick pocket money? I went to a different dentist and not only did my insurance cover the same procedure, but they were WAY more genuine and nice about taking care of me then this place. The times that I came in this office all they were talking about to me was price for this price for that and they were very rude when I asked questions. When they cleaned my teeth they did it very painfully as if they were trying to get it done ASAP. I'm guilty of skipping the dentist for 2 years because I had some bad experiences in the past. I'm also a big scaredy cat when it comes to pain. I came to Saigon Dental because I saw how thorough and caring Dr. Julie and her staff were when my sister came in with a large dental abscess. The technology and tools they use for dental xrays are great and cause no pain. I hated the old school kind of xray tools used by my previous dentists, I always felt like it was damaging my gums. Dr. Julie took the time to explain the condition of my teeth and recommendations. Unfortunately, my last wisdom tooth had to come out. Dr. Julie was very diligent and gentle. The procedure itself was relatively painless and the healing process was surprisingly pleasant. By day 2 I had no swelling or pain. I went to Saigon Dental two weeks ago and had a very bad experience with them. I had a tooth extraction on Friday. The dentist took almost an hour just to get it out. My mouth was swollen, bleeding and in pain all weekend long. I tried calling their emergency numbers but no one picked up nor responded. I was able to find another dentist for emergency treatment and antibiotics. Please do not go to this place anymore. The main dentist were making excuses for the bad service I received and I don't think that is how they should treat their clients. read more

I used to go to a different dentist since I was a kid, and I decided to give this place a try. Julie Tran was my dentist and she was great. She made sure I wasn't in any pain while she was cleaning my teeth, and she was very patient. She took her time and was very thorough with the cleaning. The dental assistant Michael was also very gentle and friendly. This place is very clean and organized. They use Vaseline or chapstick to make sure your lips don't get chapped when they're stretching your mouth and use glasses on your eyes so the light doesn't bother you at all. WARNING: Do not go to Saigon Dental anymore! Found out Dr. Julie Tran is no longer working here. The part-time dentists are young and maybe inexperienced, not sure if they know what they are doing, and should not performed any major services like root canal or tooth extraction on their patients! Two of my immediate family members recently went through a horrible experience with two different dentists at two different times, including unnecessary pain, bleeding and discomfort for days. Another thing to note is that Saigon Dental have no emergency services on Sunday due to no pick up and not able to leave any messages on their published numbers. I felt so guilty for it was I who recommended my family members to this place a while back. The high pitch sound of the drill and suction tube are a couple of reasons as to why I find dental visits terrifying. But I knew I had some cavities that I needed to get remove. After taking the leap of faith, I walked in and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Sitting in the chair Dr. Toan walked me through all the steps along the way and making sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure.
