i would rate the service of this place very poor as the cinema halls have very little space.

Rudest staff and manager Totally unprofessional customer…read moreservice. Extremely rude staff. Unacceptable behaviour. Stevenage Cineworld. After rude staff and complain to the manager she told us at the door after the movie "feel free not to come back". Is it the right behaviour from a manager? But why I am not surprised after stinky attitude from one staff of hers.

Situated on the ground floor are a few self service ticket machines and a couple of human manned ticket desks. Upstairs is a bar with a small but decent selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. Quite a cool place to hang out while you're waiting for your film to start, with lots of comfy seating and even a pool table. I saw my film in Screen 5 which is a huge screen with a few rows of comfy premium seats in the middle. Unfortunately the seat I was seating in was on the back row and was worn so much it felt almost like I was sitting on a wood plank. For the ladies who always get stuck waiting in the queue for one of two ladies toilets at cinemas, there are plenty of toilets and room to do makeup. The staff a very friendly and went out of their way to help me. There is also free wifi, yay! Over all a pretty good cinema, but they need to sort out there seating!

The layout is very much the same but the facilities have benefitted from a much needed upgrade like the toilets have been done up, almost all the screens now have premiere seats located at the back. The establishment has decided to get rid of the waffles and replace it with milkshake a instead. Also, they have an array of chocolate bars to add to the shake mixs such as, toffee crisp, malteasers, rollo etc. This is a great addition, especially when you are considering the nice cold drinks to go with the summer films. Additionally, look at your full price receipt brought at the box office as they have been giving out 2 4 1tickets as a nice bonus!

Surrey Quays Odeon is my time away from reality. 2 hours of a mind numbing movie watching…read moreexperience. Obviously it works really well for me because I just roll out of my apartment into a theater seat. I can imagine it would work rather well for people living around Canada Water/Rotherhithe because the SQLP complex is rather well served by buses and is a quick walk from Surrey Quays and Canada Water stations. Negative points because of the recent rise in tickets. I remember paying below £7 for several shows once upon a time. That seems like a distant memory now - or perhaps I'm just missing something. Also, for no fault of theirs they have to be penalized because of the lack of pre- and post- movie things to do.

Great cinema in a great location…read more Positives: - I am a huge fan of customer service or customee care and this cinema always seems to never fail. The counter employees do strikw up conversations and make jokes which makes the waiting in the queue that much worth it. I'm never afraid of making a witty or funny remark as I have been accompanied with one in return which is always a nice thing - The SKYSUPERSCREEN is one of the featurea in which makes this cinema remarkable. I remember watching 'Gaurdians Of The Galaxy' on the superscreen and it was phenomenal. Always hoping my next movie is located at that screen because you have not trult experience high quality sound, crisp imagery and the full works to engulf you into the movie so much that you're just in awe. Definitely worth seeing a movie there for the screen (not forgetting Cineworlds new D-Box enhanced technology) - Legroom is on point in every screen. No need to pay VIP price like at Vue for extra legroom whereas Cineworld is notorious for providing guests with so much legroom, one can spread out and be very comfortable & I also love the priority seats instead of fighting for a seat when a new film has been released and the cinema gets busy Negatives: - Queue time for food or tickets can be atrocious at times. Booking online and bringing your own munch saves all that drama as well as ticket bootha beforw entering into the cinema, but, for whatever reason you want to purchase food or tickets from the desk then be prepared for a long wait as this cinema is regularly busy whether seeing an old or a new release. ***Lengthy but worth it queues for food with a sprinkle of generous legroom space. This truly is a cinema with high quality sound, crisp pictures with the added bonus of great customer when at the food desks truly makes my cinema experience that much better and deserves all 5 stars***

A very representable price tag. I think we even attended on a crazy Monday and got half price tickets. They have a bar in the waiting area where you can buy drinks of all sorts and sweets or ice cream (no popcorn if I remember rightly) which is prob a good and less busy place to pop in for a cuppa anytime anyway. The cinema itself usually has most higher rated films showing on release and extremely generous seating throughout. Screen are on the smaller side but overall that doesn't detract from the experience unless you want an IMAX experience or something totally in your face. Barbican is definitely worth a trip for those wanting to avoid mainstream cinemas. Xyz

Oddly, when we bought our tickets, he showed us a tattered seating chart and asked us which seats we'd like, but had to look up our request in the computer to see if they're already taken, which led to the following conversation: "how about those?" "sorry I'm afraid those are taken. "how about those?" "sorry I'm afraid..." etc. The one twist was the classy food - scones, quiche, and an extensive wine list - which we weren't expecting. While I'm a fan beer / wine in movies, we actually just wanted some popcorn and sweets...
