I been to many cinemas and this one is fine. You don't come to cinema to eat, you come to watch a movie. Their Sky huge screen is awesome and the staff are very friendly. You could find enough places around the O2 for some food. read more

Great cinema in a great location Positives: - I am a huge fan of customer service or customee care and this cinema always seems to never fail. The counter employees do strikw up conversations and make jokes which makes the waiting in the queue that much worth it. I'm never afraid of making a witty or funny remark as I have been accompanied with one in return which is always a nice thing - The SKYSUPERSCREEN is one of the featurea in which makes this cinema remarkable. I remember watching 'Gaurdians Of The Galaxy' on the superscreen and it was phenomenal. Always hoping my next movie is located at that screen because you have not trult experience high quality sound, crisp imagery and the full works to engulf you into the movie so much that you're just in awe. Definitely worth seeing a movie there for the screen (not forgetting Cineworlds new D-Box enhanced technology) - Legroom is on point in every screen. No need to pay VIP price like at Vue for extra legroom whereas Cineworld is notorious for providing guests with so much legroom, one can spread out and be very comfortable & I also love the priority seats instead of fighting for a seat when a new film has been released and the cinema gets busy Negatives: - Queue time for food or tickets can be atrocious at times. Booking online and bringing your own munch saves all that drama as well as ticket bootha beforw entering into the cinema, but, for whatever reason you want to purchase food or tickets from the desk then be prepared for a long wait as this cinema is regularly busy whether seeing an old or a new release. ***Lengthy but worth it queues for food with a sprinkle of generous legroom space. This is the nicer Cineworld based at 02. It has screens on two levels. Has a massive screen in the Sky Superscreen (Screen 11) which is on the lower level and its Balcony seating on the upper level, and is the largest 3D-compatible screen in Europe! All its other screens are of really decent size, and all with comfortable seats and tiered, so good views wherever you sit. Cineworld has recently started adding the screen number as additional information in the booking process. This is pretty handy, especially where a film is on more than one screen. On the Lower floor, you have Screens 1-5 with medium screens and Screen 11 which is the massive Sky Superscreen as referred to above. This cinema is well placed in a location with lots of food options. It also has a D-Box screen, which has seats that move with the action on the screen. I watch Deadpool here and it was fantastic. I imagine it must be even better in a 3D D-Box screening! The snacks here are standard popcorn, candy, fizzy etc. But the lines in the entrance hall can get very long. Whereas there are often no lines for popcorn upstairs. The seats in the screens have seen better days and could do with a good clean. Same for the toilets. So Cineworld loses a star for this, making it three stars! Pop in for a movie, but use the toilets elsewhere lol! read more

My first time in cineworld 02 and what a crap time i had in there. *You have line up and get your tickets and popcorn all at the same time. CRAP...! *Only two staff at the counter and 30 people in line... Great..! *Kids box meal is the same as buying a adult mc'donalds meal CRAP...! *A bag of sweet EXPENSIVE...! Staff don't know what they are doing.. I get better services at odeon cinema.. I forgot one last thing you do get free parking but you do have to walk to the hut to get your free parking. that why gets one star. read more

This is our usual venue for watching movies. It's only 15 mins from our house by car and you can get 4 hours free parking if you show your cinema ticket. This gives you enough time to eat and watch a movie. We've been coming here for years and honestly we've never had a problem. It's not amazing but it tickets all the right boxes. They have a good selection at the concessions stand (who doesn't like a treat while watching a film). The seats are comfortable enough and the screens are kept clean. Not a lot to it really. I want to give this 3.5 stars. So I go to Cineworlds all the time because I have the unlimited card. That is really the only reason to go to these because it is the best deal where you pay around 19£ a month to see as many movies as you want. I write a film blog so this is why I do this! Cineworld at the 02 is best during the week when the tourist numbers are low. The superscreen is massive and great for something you want to see that large. I saw a hunger games film and Jurassic World on there. The lines here are frustrating. Book ahead so you can just pick them up using the machines below at the escalators. However half of them are always broken, no joke. Upstairs you have to wait in the que with the food orders if you want tickets that way and it's too slow. I rotate between here, Haymarket and West India Quay. They all have pros and cons based on location, cleanliness and movie rotation. I think they all offer the same mainstream movie type experience that is a deal with the card. It also gets you 10% off food and after a year you become the next level and get 25%! I love this cinema. I literally travel from Brixton to go to it. Its not special, its just consistent. here is why it is good. In London, big screen is good to find! 1. The screens all of them have tiered seating, and there isn't a sneaky small screen (yet) 2. Digital projectors 3. They have D-Box and 3D available. 4. They have online discounts for their tickets. Thats it really - the price i'm paying for cinema I want to know i can see the screen, and cineworld at Greenwich has tiered seating, digital projectors and big screens! what else do you need. Get your tickets downstairs, and pop out for a five guys (with no queues) outside before hand. Nice evening out. read more

I've been to this Cineworld countless times, and can't understand why it took me so long to write a review... My wife and I really love watching movies, so naturally subscribed to the Cineworld Unlimited card and always find time every week to watch some movies. It also helps that we live nearby :) Cineworld is on the back of the O2. Walk a bit when you enter, just follow the footpath and you'll be there. Very busy place with plenty of screen and a very kind staff. At least to me... The missus has sometimes complained about them but I personally think that given the pace of the place, they always remain calm and kind to us. The rooms are decent enough, cleaned before every movie indeed... I deplore the state of some chairs though, whose replacement is long overdue. I have no doubt someone at Cineworld will read this and take it into consideration, right? ;) Must do: the DBox and the SuperSky Screen. Absolutely stunning. Awful service, awful venue. The automatic ticket machine downstairs didn't work. Upstairs, as many have mentioned, you have to wait in the concessions line to get tickets when the machines downstairs inevitably don't work. Annoying; we got there at a time when there wasn't a wait, but wow, would we have been livid if we'd come about 15min later. Despite not having assigned seating, you can only get into the theatre 10min before the stated showtime. There isn't adequate seating in the cavernous space when there easily could be. When we sat down in the abandoned bar area, we were told we'd have to stand unless we bought something--despite the fact that we'd bought bottles of water at the concession stand. The bathrooms smelled like something out of a roadside truck stop. As a bonus, the actual screen was changed, and nobody thought it pertinent to announce the fact. Instead, we were told only once we went up to the screen indicated on our tickets 15min before showtime (we'd arrived an hour early so we could stand in queue for good seats) and by then the line was literally out the door and down the stairs. Seats were sticky. There were no ushers, so people kept using their phones to find a seat when they came in late. Overall a hot mess, and a solid set of reasons never to return to this classless pit of everything that's wrong with giant theatre chains. read more

We couldn't work out how to use the self service ticket machines with a gift card (turns out you can't!) but the staff were helpful and we were able to buy our tickets from the ice cream counter which had a much shorter queue than the actually ticket counter. The cinema seats were comfy and despite being on the front row (the only ones left when we booked),we weren't looking up at the screen too much like in other cinemas. We saw American Sniper and, as you'd expect from a large cinema, the surround sound and picture quality were great. It's in the o2 so it's worth checking if there's a big show, concert or event on before you travel so you can plan in extra time to get there if needs be. We didn't check and went for food there first too and ended up queuing for 45mins as there was a Queen concert starting at the same time as the film! It also meant getting the tube home was really packed as it finished at a similar time too. read more

Just finish watching Aquaman at the Cineworld at Greenwich 02 and there were babies crying and running around. I was not able to watch the movie in peace. It was very annoying and quite frustrating. I spoke to one of the staff and he said well it is a 12A movie....ok but these babies cannot speak how were they allowed in the cinema. I guess these parents had no babysitters. read more

Have been to this cinema a few times now and never been disappointed. It's in London and in a popular entertainment venue so there is usually a queue just before the film starts, especially in the evenings (see my top tip at the bottom). The screens are huge (especially the Sky screen) and the sound is good. The screens are well maintained. Usual 'cinema' pricing on drinks and snacks though cheaper than some of their competitors. Top tip: Book your tickets on the Cineworld app or website (they're cheaper), then you can pick them up using the automated ticket machines downstairs and pop and have a bite to eat before your film. I have only giving the two stars due to the special sky screening that I attend which are absolutely free plus you get free parking. Now I wouldn't even bother with this franchise if I know I had to pay. The food is not great and what the hell do they put inside their hot dogs. It truly taste like it is from the shelve of the local supermarket and pulled out of a jar containing water, you know that cheap brand I'm talking about. You would think for the price your paying you would deserve better quality produce. I wonder if I am in the only one that experiences horrible lengthy cues to buy tickets and get food. With a Cine world cinema being only a 5min walk from my house its so easy to go to the movies. You can get an Unlimited movie card for £14.99 (£17.99 if you want to include the west end cinemas) this is such a great bargain and pays for itself if you see 2 movies a month. With a cost of a normal movie being over £9 you can see how it is beneficial. You pay more then enough for popcorn and coke, why pay more then you need to for the movie. read more

Mediocre theater and has the dumbest procedure in selling movie tickets. The lines here get ridiculously long because the cashiers have to sell tickets and snacks at the same time. The management also do not open many tills to sell thus making an experience very annoying. Unfortunately, we frequent this place since we are not too far from it. We just have to give ourselves plenty of time before end of the movie. read more

Well U2 tickets weren't available so we decided to see spectre. The manager kindly changed our tickets so that we could get the last train home. Seats in the cinema were very comfortable , however the volume was very loud for me. Maybe I am getting a bit old as my partner surprisingly didn't have the same problem. Spectre itself was pretty useless in my opinion. But you cannot blame the cinema for that. Cinemas should try a bit harder in my opinion in ensuring the sound is correct for the film. It actually puts me off going these days and am certain other people would say the same. read more

Great cineworld, nice and modern and they have the option of the Dbox (although I don't really see the point) and the Sky Super Screen which is great for big blockbusters and if you catch an off peak showing if usually not too busy. Good bar and selection of snacks too! Shame they didn't keep Ben and Jerrys, but otherwise not a bad cinema at all! read more

avoid cineworld and Emily at the 02 greenwich. I purchased a cineworld ticket online with my cineworld account/premium unlimited card and I had the name on my booking and I had other ID proving this but couldn't find my unlimited card. so they made me pay £10.70 to watch a movie which I don't think is fair especially when the same thing happened to someone else as I was going in the screen and they let them past. also emilys attitude towards me was the worst piece of customer service experience ive ever had she was very unhelpful and just smiling and laughing in my face clearly the little power she thinks she has gone to her head. im seriously considering not renewing my cineworld membership ive been a member for 4 years but Im not sure I will go to 5 and I don't think il recommened cineworld to my readers. this brand is just run by silly children more mature staff are needed AVOID!! read more
