Recently, the power went out in my garage. I called "Down the Road Electric," left a message and…read morereceived a call back within 70 minutes. Jeff said he would be there within the hour and sent me a text when he was 10 minutes away. Jeff determined the problem was a faulty circuit breaker within 2 minutes. He went to his truck to get a replacement and my power was restored to my garage within 10 minutes of his arrival (if not sooner.) He was personable, professional, very courteous, communicative, and efficient. Truly, Plato's idea of an electrician. The cost the service call was incredibly reasonable! Frankly, I was shocked at how low my bill was. You can bet that I will call "Down the Road Electric" the next time I need electrical services.

Be sure to ask for an estimate. I am writing this review for my 90 year old neighbors to whom I…read morerecommended Down the Road Electric. I was shocked when they told me that after the services were provided, they paid 1,000 dollars to fix one kitchen outlet! I should have told my neighbors to ask for a quote before scheduling so I take responsibility for that, but never did it occur to me that the price would be so high for one outlet! Is this the going rate for outlet repair or was this an opportunity to rip off the elderly?

Everything done by Boyd Crosby is done with care. It is difficult to quantify trust, but to me,…read morethat is a critical factor when having someone work on your home. Boyd stands behind his work--always. I have used BCC for two complete bathroom remodels and some whole-house smaller jobs (scraping 1980s popcorn ceilings, installing crown molding, etc.). I am delighted with the results of every job, large or small. Boyd built my daughter's house a few years ago. She saw a house she and her husband loved on the Parade of Homes, and it was one Boyd had built. They hired him to do their dream house and they absolutely love it. It is definitely not "cookie cutter." If you are willing to work with your builder and have reasonable, realistic expectations, I can highly recommend BCC. I have lived in town for thirty years and have not heard anyone say one negative thing about the results of a Boyd Crosby job; most people rave about the work he has done for them. I know we do!

During our building experience our builder used Advanced Millwork to match our trim and doors to…read moreour oak cabinets. It has been over a month we have been dealing with this issue. The doors and cabinets do not match, even after their second try. We were told we would not notice one door because it was in a dim lighted area. We were told they received the wrong color from the cabinet guy, that the oak door they took to match was the " darkest" of the cabinets...that is why it was off. They told us they were within "specs" so they will not replace all the wood unless we pay for it!! We were not upset about the delay, or the "mistakes., we are disappointed in their consistent attitude that it is not their fault, and although it doesn't match, it is within "specs". Our cabinets are a "medium oak color" , their stained doors and trim are obvious a "dark oak color".
