For instance, ketchup, a staple condiment, is now charged at a whopping 50 cents for a few packs that should be free. Even dipping sauces are not spared from this price hike. The customer service at Checkers has also taken a nosedive. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in the quality of service that I've come to expect from a restaurant of this caliber. While I remain hopeful that things will improve in the coming months, my current experience leaves me with a negative review. For your information, this location is privately owned and not affiliated with the corporate chain. Consequently, not all deals or promotions are available here. Also, it is the only location available in North Carolina.

When I arrived, the employee on the speaker told me I had to either go to the other pickup lane or get out and pick up my order at the window. It was pouring rain, and there were already cars in front of me and behind me, so I couldn't just back out or switch lanes. The parking lot was also completely full, and anyone who has been to this location knows it's a very small lot. After I finally made it to the drive-thru window, I politely asked if they could just hand me my order there instead of making me go to the passenger-side pickup window. It would have taken just a few seconds to hand me the bags through the window I was already at, and it would have kept me from having to get out in the rain. The employee refused and said it was "store policy." Since I couldn't safely get to the other pickup window, I asked to cancel my order. The restaurant refused and told me I had to contact customer support. Customer support also said they couldn't cancel it and told me to contact my bank instead. So in the end, I had no food, was charged for my order, and was left to deal with getting my money back myself. I understand businesses have policies, but a little common sense and customer service go a long way. Given the weather and the situation, making a simple exception would have taken almost no effort. Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience, and I won't be returning.
