Can we give negative stars? So we swung by after the Spartanburgers game on an early Friday evening. The game was rained out, so we were already running on disappointment, and we were just trying to grab a to-go order of 4 thighs, 2 breasts, fries, yada yada... the full mountain of fixins. You know, your standard issue. We place the order, and the guy hits us with: "We don't have any chicken." We froze, blinking like malfunctioning robots, until I finally said, "You do know you're a chicken restaurant... right?" He nods, like I had just asked him what the weather was, and replies, "Yep, we're waiting on the chicken to arrive..." Waiting... on... the... chicken... to... arrive... at 6:30 PM on a Friday night? That's like Starbucks losing the bathroom key, like Krispy Kreme saying, "Here's your poor-life-choices salad", and Waffle House running out of chaos! Completely unreal! After a behind-the-scenes scavenger hunt, they somehow managed to cobble together a mysterious assortment of "chicken-like" pieces that tasted like they were cooked during the Carter administration and then forgotten under the backseat in 108-degree weather... Honestly, I wouldn't feed it to a pig, a raccoon, or even the neighbor who steals our Wi-Fi. (Oh, the password is: Fr1edCh1ck3n2025*) And the staff? Let's just say the vibe was very "we pre-gamed our shift," and leave it at that. At this point, I'm just hoping this place taps out so something, anything, can take over on the Eastside. How Bojangles allows this culinary crime scene to keep operating is beyond me. Put literally anything here: KFC, Church's... heck, I'd even take gas station fried chicken at this point. So I was just in the Bojangles on the East side and they were short handed. Which was ok, I was not in a rush or anything but, I noticed that the manager a light complexion African American lady was being so rude to the employees! She was yelling and slamming things just being nasty for no reason... Even the other customers that were in the store was like what's wrong with her! This establishment location is very bad and every time you order on DoorDash from this place they never want to give your sides or you missing a chicken tender you never get what you PAID for. I ordered 3 wings with 2 sides of fries. They never give me my second fries then the food be cold or the fries are overly seasoned and hard and they want to give you LESS FRIES. my boyfriend got the 5 peice supremes combo and they only gave him 4 supremes and less fries!! Sorry but it's not Bo time at this particular establishment! The employees have got to be the rudest crew I have seen. The orders are never right and employees wanna get an attitude like I did something. I asked for sweet tea twice and both times it tasted unsweetened and like day old coffee. Ugh!! I saw a girl with her hoodie pulled up and her face os barely visible. This is fine and I love hoodies too, but not when you're serving the public. The manager was openly cursing. Let me start off by saying this was the worst experience that I have ever had from a restaurant EVER!!! I went through the drive thru and the girl that was working the drive thru didn't greet properly and said "go ahead with your order." I get to the window and was asked to pull ahead when I was the only one in the drive thru and they were not busy at all. Then I left and began to eat my biscuit and looked down and saw a long black piece of hair in it. I took the biscuit back to the restaurant and everyone that was working in the restaurant thought having hair in someone's food was funny because everyone was grinning and had a smirk on their faces. Food takes way too long, they must not know how to season fries (half the reason anyone goes to bojangles) because every time I find myself getting their fries they are plain, even when I ask for them to be seasoned, which I shouldn't really need to do; there are few less gross things than plain boj fries. I went through the drive through on my way to a meeting. Ordered 2 biscuits- one to share with a friend. I received the wrong order and did not realize it until I got to the meeting. We ended up splitting that "wrong biscuit" but the fries in the bag were inedible-cold and greasy. On my way home I stopped by the same Bojangles , went inside and spoke with the woman who was running the window at the time. She did say that there had been a mixed up order earlier and offered to give me the biscuits, however I told her that it was long past breakfast and could I just have a coupon or voucher to get them tomorrow. She laughed in my face and told me they don't give coupons and anyway it was my problem since I ate the biscuit so no refund either. Both she and the cashier were rude, mocking and demeaning when all it would have taken was an apology and a voucher to make me give them a 5 on customer service. In addition, I contacted Bojangles via their website and left messages twice with no acknowledgment or reply. We went to this Bojangles one afternoon for a very late breakfast. The assistant manager who helped us, Troy, was very courteous. We suffered from an untimely lack of French fries and had to wait for the fries to be ready. On the one hand, the fries were late-ish and piping hot, but on the other they were extremely fresh. My bacon, egg & cheese biscuit felt like it was going to fall apart in my hands, but it didn't. That is my only real complaint. The Mac & cheese was sublime, and the chicken supremes looked excellent. I also enjoyed the ambiance, as the music was classic 1960s and 70s fare, and external speakers allow you to hear the music walking to and from your car, which I think was a nice touch. read more
