I visited Bojangles in Cape Carret yesterday and had an excellent experience. I ordered the 4-piece Supreme and the food was hot, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding--our server, Maysin, was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure everything was right. He checked on us, had a great attitude, and made the whole visit pleasant. I'll definitely be back and would recommend asking for Maysin if you want fast, courteous service. read more

I walked into Bojangles during a snowstorm expecting chicken, not a live demonstration of how customer service died. The weather outside was catastrophic, but somehow the coldest front in the building was standing behind the register. The food was a 7.5/10. It existed. It was edible. It fulfilled the legal definition of fried chicken. Nothing transcendent happened. No angels sang. It was the culinary equivalent of a firm handshake. The biscuits were trying. The fries showed up out of obligation. Everyone did the bare minimum and clocked out emotionally. Then I reached the register. I have never felt more like I was personally ruining someone's day by giving them money. The cashier had the energy of someone forced to work as punishment by a judge. Ordering food felt like interrupting her lifelong mission to hate everything. I've gotten warmer hospitality from airport security. I wasn't greeted. I was tolerated. Every word out of my mouth was treated like an unpaid bill. I asked for sauce and you'd think I requested a kidney. The silence was aggressive. The eye contact was a hate crime against joy. If bad attitudes generated electricity, that building could power the city. I left with chicken and emotional damage. Would I go back? Unfortunately yes, because Bojangles has me in a Stockholm syndrome situation. I have been here several times and don't know why I can't find them on the list. They have been in this location for several years. I went through the drive up and you cannot hear the person on the other end. Either they speak very quiet and or the noise from the traffic drowns them out. The young man taking my order was pleasant and when I got to the window he smiled. The person who delivered my food never said a word. No thank you, have a nice day, nada. He just handed me my bag of food and closed the widow. I ordered a smoke sausage biscuit and had to ask for mustard. The food wasn't bad. The biscuit was good the the smoke sausage was very good. I would say some of the employees need work on speaking to the customers with kind words like Thank you and do it with a smile. Hopefully a manager or the owner will see this and correct the problems, esp. the speaker. read more

This place is awesome. Workers are fun and fast! Food comes out hot and they don't put too much ice in the ice tea! Chicken is soooooo delicious with the buffalo sauce and the bone in chicken prices are really good for a large family. Bathrooms always clean and so is the floors of the restaurant which is telling of their sanitation. Good spot right next to the highway too. read more

My order was a chicken supreme combo with mashed potatoes and sweet tea, a cheddar bo biscuit, and 2 boberry biscuits with extra icing. The chicken was fine, but they gave us unsweetened tea, and the mashed potatoes had a noodle in them. The cheddar bo biscuit was EXTREMELY burnt, it was completely rock solid and black, and the boberry biscuits were stale and had basically no icing. (I have never left a review before, but every time I give this place a chance they give me the worst food ever. Also the burnt biscuit was so bad that I needed to say something about it.) read more

Let me start off by saying I love bojangles in general. Whenever I'm traveling and I see one, I stop and get a bite to eat. Today I got hungry, so I decided I wanted to go there. I went through the drive thru and there were a couple people but not a lot. I ordered my food and saw one of the menu boards was out but thought nothing about it. After I ordered, I drove up to the window where I was greeted by a CREEPY guy whose voice freaked me the hell out in general. When he handed me my card back it was covered with some sort of wet stuff and I was disgusted. Honestly, I brushed it off and thought "that was weird", but when I received my food, that's when it went to hell. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was cold, Mac and cheese, which wasn't good at all and the tiniest portion I've ever gotten, and sweet tea, which honestly tasted okay but not as good as normal. I do NOT recommend going here because I don't think they have anything running smoothly. Half of the menu board being out, the creepy workers, and the cold and small-portioned food. If I had the option on here to give them (Bojangles in Cedar Point) 0 stars I would!!! I understand all fast food places now a days are short staffed but that hasnothing to do with my bacon egg and cheese biscuit being so disgusting that I took 1 small bite and had to throw the rest away! We go to Emerald Isle quite a bit, and my kids were really excited when this Bo location opened up. I love Bojangles, but there are enough locations near our house that we eat there pretty regularly. On our way home a while back, we went through the drive thru here to grab some breakfast. Lord have mercy, I think we could've gone to a restaurant and had table service in the time it took us to get all the way through and back on our way. Once or twice I thought about just parking and going in, but I saw several people (at least 4 or 5) walk in and walk right back out a few minutes later. It was a nice day out, so I already had my window down. I actually heard people complaining about the long line inside. So, I get it. Sometimes you're understaffed or just seriously busy - especially if you're the only location for MILES. I really do get it. And I've worked in restaurants before, so I know how easy it is to get in the weeds. But there was no "I'm sorry for your wait" or anything along those lines. A few words goes a LONG way with me, especially having the service industry background I do. So either the employees aren't getting proper customer service training, or whomever was working the drive thru that day just didn't care. Bojangles is one of my go to road trip drive thrus, but I don't know if I'll be giving this particular location another shot. read more

I love bojangles & always will but the employees that have been hired at here act like they have nothing to do or have no idea what they're doing. At lunch, the amount of time that it takes me to get my food is ridiculous if anybody was in a hurry they would not be able to swing through here and get lunch. Went by this Bojangles tonight and ordered a 3 pc meal combo, waited in line for over 15 minutes. The staffs attitude here was "I don't give a damn how long it takes we juz gonna take our time to get your food out". I demanded my money back on my card, and when I get back home just now to check my account it has not been refunded. Corporate should fire everyone at this store that was working tonight. Pull it up on camera, BOJ corporate--- see how long your lazy staff took and I still never got my food after waiting for about 15 minutes.
