I couldn't wait for my 24 visit recheck to write this review. This practice is unlike any…read morechiropractic you've ever been to. Unlike standard chiropractors, you aren't treated like a cash cow to be milked 3x a week for a 40 second adjustment that never really gives you any real correction- just pain relief at best. This incredible practice uses adjustments. But they also use devices to vibrate your muscles and adjust your spine with a 'thumping' clicker. The main difference in this practice is that you get put into specialized traction devices that actually retrain your brain and spine to correct your alignment. They aren't painful and it's absolutely incredible what this can do. It's 1000x more effective than adjustments alone. You also get stretches and exercises to do at home. There is also a slew of supplements, kinesiology tape, pain relief, specialized pillows, neck wedges and all manner of "this will help you" there. I saw Dr. Joe years ago and he was the ONLY chiropractor, out of several dozen, that I've worked with, who actually got REAL CORRECTION in my back. Unfortunately I moved out of state 5 years ago and wasn't able to finish my treatment. My back only got progressively worse. At 39 I was in such constant, extreme pain that I actually sold my house to move back to Boise and go back to Dr. Joe. Sounds extreme doesn't it? On my first visit I told Dr. Joe that it would be worth it to me if he could just tell me why I'm in such horrible pain. 3 seconds of looking at the x-rays my doctors and other chiros looked at and thought were fine, he was able to show me how drastically misaligned my spine was. I thought it would take years to get it better. And I'm very low income, on disability. I didn't think I could afford it. But honestly, I couldn't afford not to come here. This was the reason I came back. I was ready to go into serious debt on my credit cards for the chance of getting out of this godforsaken pain that has sucked my life away. Turns out I didn't need to worry. They have a program that discounts services for disabled and severely low-income people. My God I feel so blessed. Only 24 visits later and I just got to examine my new xrays. I wasn't expecting there to be any real change because I only go 2x a week, and ended up missing a lot of 2nd appointments, as Dr. Joe is so in demand as a teacher he is always leaving to fly around the country giving seminars. (Yeah. You could be lucky enough to get a doctor of his caliber working on your back, right here in Boise!) I also wasn't able to do any of my home exercises because of the pain I have. So I was certain there wouldn't be any real change yet. I almost died when I saw the xrays. He has a program that superimposes a green line for where your spine should be and a red line for where it is. That way you can measure the degree to which you need correction. Mine was very severely off of where it should be when I started. 24 visits later and I'm almost in perfect correction in most of my areas! I really think it's impossible. But it actually happened. So Dr. Joe recommended I come in once a week from now on (AFTER ONLY 24 VISITS! When was the last time your chiropractor said you should come in less?!!) I've been in a daze since. I honestly thought it would take years to get my back sorted out. It really was in dire condition. I honestly feel like this has been a miracle. And everyone in this practice is so nice. They greet you by name and you feel like you're family. Gracie takes care of you like a second mother. Everyone is extremely competent and devoted to patient care. In closing, if you are in pain, don't waste your time or money on regular chiropractic that doesn't work. I can almost guarantee they won't do anything for you but take your money 3x a week, possibly giving some temporary pain relief. Don't let this opportunity pass you by like I did all those years ago. I ended up losing so much of my life to pain, and all because I didn't stick with the only thing that really works. I'm kicking myself now. I never should have moved away.

When I came in Dr. Rausch explained that it could be BPPV (positional vertigo) or maybe my neck. He checked both and told me that my neck was tight, but it was probably more of a problem with my inner ear. He performed the Epley maneuver, and it literally Fixed my vertigo the 1st treatment! He had me come in 3 more times to loosen up my neck, but that was it! This is the first time coming to a chiropractor that he didn't try and sell me on 6 months of treatment, not to mention he fixed my issue first appointment! I can't recommend him enough! If you are struggling, go see him. He's the BEST.

Dr. Watson at Active Health and Wellness has made such a huge difference for me…read more I had so much pain and inflammation from doing my job that it was getting difficult for me to work. I honestly can't believe I worked like that for as long as I did. I had severe pain in my lower back and hands. I saw Dr. Watson and he did a whole body scan and gave me a plan on fixing my issues. Now I don't have any pain while I massage people. It's honestly a night and day difference. I've been getting adjustments from him and using the PEMF machine. The PEMF has reduced my inflammation in my hands and back. His adjustments are very gentle and on a table that moves. It's not the typical kind where they pick you up and crack your back. The biggest thing for me is that I can now work without being in pain. I'm so happy I found him! The initial body scan and first treatment are quite affordable as well.

He does not guess, he is very calculated. He is very precise with his adjustments, he hits that exact spot with such precision it is amazing. I pinched a nerve in my neck 6 months ago. I went to at least 6 appointments at the hospital for it. Doctors couldn't help, stretches from youtube didn't help, massage therapy helped but wasn't enough, and I started to feel hopeless. 6 months of pain and discomfort in my neck/back/arm. Not sleeping well, always in a bad mood. I thought I damaged my neck for life. I started going to MC2 in September, and 4 weeks into my 8 week Corrective Care plan, I already feel 80% better. I have had a couple days of zero pain, which I seriously thought I would never experience again in my life. I have regained full range of motion and at least half of my strength. It took a lot of commitment on my end, but without MC2 I would have never made such a wild recovery on my own. Lastly, the vibe in the office is great. All of the staff are really nice and they create a very comfortable space. They remember everyone's names and make you feel like more than just another client. I couldn't recommend MC2 enough.
