Walking into the treatment room is like walking into peace. The environment here is one of true care and healing. I've always felt very listened to by everyone about my health concerns and my pain, the acupuncturists are very educated and always willing to help with supplements, recommendations, etc. I've been struggling with pain for a lot of my life and it was not until recently I received a Fibromyalgia diagnosis. Going to acupuncture regularly has completely changed my life and helped to alleviate so much of my pain. Flare ups are no longer as common and even when I am experiencing pain, the ladies here are always willing to help. Shanell is one of the acupuncturists here that I absolutely love (among many), she was so kind and sympathetic about my diagnosis. I always felt very seen. I initially went in for anxiety. The consultation I received was very thorough and professional. I never once felt uncomfortable in the setting. The acupuncture itself was obviously not painful and the process was explained to me thoroughly before beginning. I felt much more relaxed afterwards and truly feel that a few treatments helped my anxiety. The visible result came months later- I was bit by a dog multiple times on my legs and feet. I required surgery for these bites- my foot was a mess. I couldn't walk for a bit, and then needed crutches for 3 months. When I started functioning again, I couldn't move the toes on my right foot (the one that had the surgery) and limped on it still. I used my next acupuncture treatment for my foot instead of my anxiety to see if it would help. After that one treatment, I stopped limping and could move all of my toes again- my boyfriend was absolutely amazed at the difference. He's recently treated me for atrophy and tears in my muscles. I'm now walking the best I've ever had in years. I've also gone in for IV treatments before and after a major surgery which have helped me recover faster. Having a nurse practitioner there also helps with my hormone and pain needs.
