Home of the Broncos.

Certainly a very involved campus that is open to visitors like me. For those that are visiting the city of Boise for the first time, the university makes up a good part of the city, yet on the fringes of downtown. Bronco Stadium is noticeable on campus, and the good folks within the athletic center allow for you to tour the building, as well as get close enough to the famed blue carpet. In fact, the blue carpet alone was the attraction that I wanted to see most. Downtown Boise also has a satellite campus of the University of Idaho (main campus is north of Boise in Moscow, ID), so please don't get confused. BSU is actually easy to find within Boise. The school boasts many of the expected amenties, and in talking with the students on campus (mainly rising sophomores and juniors), they seem to like it here.

This campus has a really beautify riverfront that is great for tubing. The campus itself is about 1 square miles with a huge stadium. It does get hot in the summer.

Wonderful day touring the college. The Discover Boise event was well coordinated, helpful, and informative. A+++

Boise State University Doctoral Program (DNP) prepares current and future nurse leaders evidenced-based approach to leadership and clinical practice. The program is rigorous but responsive to the learning needs of the working professional with a program that is designed to help these graduate students balance family, career and school for a successful and more meaningful achievement of this life goal. Doctoral prepared healthcare professionals rank in the first 2% of the country's professionals.

I graduated from BSU with my bachelors degree last May. For the majority of the time, I enjoyed my experience & my classes. However, I don't think they have the students' best interest in mind. Over the course of 4 years, my tuition went up each semester. I went from paying around $3,000 in tuition/semester to around $5,000. There is also a lack of availability of financial assistance. I come from a "well-off" family, but I was responsibility for paying my way. This made it much more difficult on me when I was viewed as low-priority for help. I had to take a ton of classes that had nothing to do with my major. While I understand they want students to be well-rounded & experience many things, this was a waste of money for me. I am hoping to get into the nursing program this coming fall to earn my second bachelors degree, so I hope to have a better experience.

Beware the teachers do not work with you, especially for online classes. Terrible professors.

Concordia University School of Law is an excellent choice for anyone planning to go to law school…read more Of course, when considering a school, you always want to look at the caliber of the faculty. CU School of Law's faculty are incredible and include graduates from tier one, indeed top 10, schools. Our faculty members have also been widely published. Speaking of writing, the Legal Research and Writing program is getting the attention of practicing attorneys around town. Many classmates have told me and I, myself, have been told that our writing exceeds what would be expected of someone either new to or even fresh out of law school. In fact, we have had a couple of students that have been published in the law journals of other schools--not bad for a school that just welcomed its 5th incoming class. As a recent graduate of the second class, the thing I am most proud of as an alum is that we, the student body, foster a team environment. Before starting law school, I heard horror stories of students hiding books or purposely misleading other students just to try to advance to the top of the food chain. This scared me--I didn't want to trust anyone. The student body at CU-School of Law, however, decided that if our new, blossoming law school was going to survive, we all needed to succeed. We worked together to make sure we all made it through school. We started strangers--classmates, but strangers none the less--but graduated as family. Finally, I would encourage those students considering law school that are not extremely religious to still seriously look at Concordia. Yes, CU is a Lutheran based school and that is clearly evident on campus. However, you are allowed to maintain your relationship with your higher power as you see fit. There is a beautiful, peaceful chapel with a door that is open anytime the building is open, that you can seek solitude when you need to reconnect with your spirituality. The chapel has also been the site of weekly voluntary bible study groups. Your degree of involvement in the religious aspect of the school is entirely up to you; your beliefs are left to your beliefs. I could go on for another 4 paragraphs on living in Boise and Idaho, but since I have probably lost most readers by now I will simply sum it up by stating that in an article located at http://realestate.usnews.com/places/idaho/boise, Boise was ranked as 6th best metro areas to live and work. Boise and Idaho are incredible!

We seek to be involved in our community and affect change. We have extremely high-level full-time and adjunct professors. You will receive a first-rate education. We are students at a relatively new law school with an interim dean and a new permanent dean starting in January. We have the opportunity to create our own traditions and establish our own level of prestige. Make no mistake, this is exciting but it is also a responsibility that you have to those that follow your lead in attending Concordia Law. We will all contribute to how valuable our degrees are years down the road. Lastly, and most importantly, we create a supportive atmosphere for learning. The (grading) curve of law school tests your knowledge compared to your classmates but what it really tests is your humanity. You really have two options: are you going to try to get better grades because you can pull others down or are you willing to help each other and see how your best stacks up against their best? The students at Concordia Law have overwhelmingly chosen to support and help each other. As you help others, others will help you when you need it. Concordia University School or Law is an excellent choice to receive a quality legal education.
