Bogdan photographed our wedding and I have to say, as the bride, there really wasn't a bad photo of me. Usually you have to get the correct angle and proper lighting and I can look decent. We planned our wedding from NYC in SF Sept 2018 and all I can say is thank goodness we found Bogdan. I had been looking EVERYWHERE for a photographer and probably vetted at least 40-50 before we decided on Bogdan; and even then, before meeting him, I was still skeptical. When we had our first video meeting I'll admit, I was worried. I had originally wanted a female photographer, and Bogdan's deep voice had me envisioning him being gruff when directing us, haha. Not that he was rude at ALL, but you could never tell from these first vendor meetings if people were fake and your chemistry with your photographer is so important! But I could not have been MORE WRONG. Bogdan is the NICEST and is so awesome to work with. He will lie down on the pavement, fling a fur jacket over his shoulder, dodge downtown SF traffic and prance to show you the look he wants, to get the shot, and to make you comfortable. And talk about PATIENT! My husband and I were both pretty unsure of what to wear for our engagement shoot and unsure of locations (and we are not low maintenance people), especially since we didn't have time to scout locations prior to coming to SF. Bogdan patiently worked with us through many location ideas and outfit ideas to find the perfect ones for us. AND when I idiotically forgot a pair of shoes that I really wanted to wear with some of my outfits and we lost sunlight early due to the fog Bogdan was INCREDIBLE and offered to meet with us for a second engagement shoot. [Disclaimer: I don't think that this is a normal thing for Bogdan to do or that 99% of photographers would ever even offer this; there were lots of mitigating factors and Bogdan was so gracious to us.] Even though we were super crunched for time, Bogdan worked with our schedules for whenever we were in town and we squeezed in a second engagement shoot. My husband and I were super stressed as this was literally the week of the wedding but we had had soooo much fun the first time with Bogdan and had seen the pictures he had produced that we rallied ourselves to do a second shoot. I am so happy that we did because my goodness; all our photos were amazing and now we had two sets. Literally, people saw our photos and told us we looked like movie stores (HK pop stars maybe :D). They are unbelievable and make me feel gorgeous. Bogdan's ability to frame a shot out of what seemed to us like chaos or crap in the background at the time, is a beautiful talent. I loved that he didn't go for cheap and easy scenery shots which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Our first time around, we tried to make background suggestions to him, and he would patiently shoot what we requested (even if these ended up being the more boring pictures of the whole shoot), but the second time around, we just told him to direct us; he had earned our trust completely. On our wedding day, he and his assistant were punctual and prepared (he is always punctual by the way). He worked so hard that day and was sooooo incredibly patient. Dealing with a large group of family and friends to get meaningful, beautiful photographs, is literally like herding cats and Bogdan NEVER lost his cool, even towards the end when people were obviously getting tipsy and were less than helpful taking a group photo together.  He listened and captured all the photos that were important to us and was also flexible and accommodating to us. My bridesmaids still talk about him and how nice and funny he was (especially when demonstrating to us ladies, how we should be posing). Would I hire Bogdan again for our wedding? If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We hired Bogdan to be our wedding photographer, and OH MY GOD AMAZING! First of all, what a great, nice guy! Great sense of humor, great at putting us at ease, and clearly passionate about his job and his work product above all else! He drove out and met us at our house at the beginning to meet us and to show us his portfolio, and we were immediately impressed. Just go to his website and check it out. His romantic, artistic photos are what hooked me, but he is also great at catching candid, genuine moments. We picked his middle-road package, which at the time cost $5900. It was by far the best value package we had found among all the wedding photographers we had interviewed. It included an engagement shoot, photobooth at the wedding, unlimited hours of wedding day coverage, 1 large custom designed wedding book for us, 2 smaller identical wedding books for our parents, a secondary photographer (important to catch as many moments as possible at the wedding), free album cover upgrade, a personal private online gallery to view images, full res digital negatives, all printing rights, and 4 large fine art prints. The value was just no contest when compared to other photographers in the area and at his caliber! And I have to talk about what a difficult couple we were! We tried to schedule then canceled on him several times for our engagement shoot because I was so indecisive. Then when we finally met up for the shoot, my fiancee got food poisoning and we had to call it off again! By then it was too late to schedule another try. Bogdan was so so patient about it all, and instead of the engagement shoot, he came to our rehearsal dinner/tea ceremony and photographed that. That was so special for our family to remember. Also, my husband and I have no idea how to take photos, and Bogdan was so great at offering suggestions on how to pose, what body parts to move in what way for the most flattering silhouette, and creative new images, all with good nature and a sense of humor, making us laugh and genuinely comfortable. My husband HATES taking photos, but even he loosened up! He had to deal with our very demanding families that wanted to take excessive posed portraits after the ceremony, us running late almost the entire day, our girl-heavy uneven and untraditional wedding party, and my drunk cousin knocking one of his cameras on the floor. He took everything so patiently and with understanding. Then, just 2 days after the wedding, he sent me 81 photo previews. 2 DAYS! He is incredible. Excellent wedding photographer. I'm tired so will just bullet point this: creative shots, ideas, locations extremely hardworking - stayed all night! The moment we decided on having our wedding at Union Hill, we knew we must also get Bogdan to photograph. His pictures are absolutely incredible - from the framing to the way he plays with light. But really, there's not enough I can say about his pictures - they speak for themselves (a thousand words and all). Bogdan is literally as good as it gets. I think he is one of the best photographers in the area (in the USA for that matter). I grew up in a house of photography and always have held light to be an important quality in any photograph. Bogdan is able to create realistic light and transform scenes into wonderful pictures. He is either a magician or a photographer, I am not sure. Our engagement pictures turned out legendary ... I know many might think due to Photoshop, however he shows us the pictures on his camera and they looked AMAZING! Bogdan is extremely easy to work with and one of the easiest parts of the wedding (but really turned out to be one of the best). We really enjoyed working with Bogdan for our wedding photography. He was the only photographer I contacted who offered to meet in person. He met me at a coffee shop in Mountain View where we live and he is from Modesto, so it's not like we were close to each other. I appreciated that he took time out of his busy schedule to do this. We had our engagement session in San Francisco and received the photos just a few days later. Bogdan gave us instructions and demonstrates the poses he's looking for. He is personable, funny, easy to be around, flexible and made us feel comfortable. On the day of our wedding in Lake Tahoe, he and his second photographer arrived on time. I trusted him 100% with getting all the photos we wanted and that they would look great. He gave us a preview of the photos just a few days after the wedding which is so exciting and helped us relive the moments and see other parts that we couldn't be there for. We received the full resolution files about 6 weeks later. He did not charge us any travel fees for all the places he went to (Mountain View, San Francisco, South Lake Tahoe) which I think is rare!
