There's lots of formats offered here so this isn't an all inclusive review but I didn't love this class in particular as I felt a good majority of it was adding and/or changing props or getting instruction for what was happening. However, at the end we were told about a lot of other classes coming up that sounded different so I won't eliminate trying something else in the future.

Popped in for some yoga while I was in town for Christmas…read more.... My bf and I wanted to introduce his mom to yoga as a Christmas gift....you know the kind of gift that keeps on giving :) She's never done yoga before....(I'm a yoga instructor and my bf is intermediate/advanced).......and we thought it would be nice to actually take her to a class so she would feel more comfortable and know what to expect. We chose this studio after looking at a couple of different ones in the area on-line......it looked the most professional and from the bios on-line, the instructors were the most experienced. Since it was over the holidays.....class schedule was limited.....and the only reasonable option was the Beginner Flow class on Saturday.....so off we went to get all bendy stretchy.... Cute little one room studio.....I spied a couple of changing rooms in the back.....and there is of course a bench to sit down and remove shoes, store personal items etc...Mats, props and blankets were all available for student use. They only open the studio about 5 minutes before a class starts.....which on the day we were there caused a back-up of students signing-in, paying & filling out paper work so class started a little bit late and there obviously wasn't any time to stretch out and relax before class. As for the actual class.....I thought it had a nice flow.....and the instructor was very sweet but I wouldn't say that this was a good class for beginners. There was a lot of standing poses and a lot of backbending which is fine if you're going to give a modified option for beginners/level 1 students but in this case there wasn't. The other thing that I thought was really uncool was that the instructor kept calling out my bf's mom in class and verbally correcting her by name loudly enough for the whole class to hear.....again, appreciate the help.....but when you have a student in class that is new to yoga they already feel a little bit awkward and bringing attention to that doesn't really help. After class both the instructor and the owner were extremely nice and spent time with my bf's mom to speak to her about her issues and help her feel more comfortable.....which I really appreciated. They ended up recommending a couple of class options that would be more on par with her ability and we ended up buying her a class package to use. Overall.....I think this is a good option for yoga in San Antonio.....and I will be back on my next visit to try some of the more advanced classes......

Everyone who teaches is really passionate about what they do. One of the great things that I enjoys is that each time I attend a class it will be something different and not the same routine (workout) keeping it exciting. The instructors are upbeat and personable. I have tried the Yoga classes , Barre classes, Pilates, Pilates Reformer and now Piloxing. I am so lucky to have found a studio that offers such a great variety. I like being able have the option of changing the intensity of my workout by attending different classes and not having to have a membership at different studios. This studio has so much to offer and great instructors! Come check it out - you won't be disappointed! I am never bored.

We worked out the full body and all the muscles I felt amazing after and I know continuation of The class Will build so much muscle in places I you didn't even know you had muscle. The workout worked was At your own pace so no pressureTo try and get in all the reps. just do what you can I really enjoyed the class and plan to try this along with others in the future five stars to the cleanliness and great instructor being as she went through every new move to ensure we were having correct posture and doing the Movements correctly.

I have gone to a few yoga classes at other places before I came to the SA Yoga Center and I can say I'm never going anywhere else. Even when your schedule is inconsistent, they will still give you tips to practice at home or while traveling. When you return, they will welcome you with open arms. The teachers are easy to talk with before and after class. They will help and encourage you along the way too. If you're new they're attentive to your needs. If you've practiced for a long time, they'll try to deepen your practice. I love what they do here. The best part is you can create your own experience here. There is a teacher or specific class that will meet your needs. Pick a class or a specific teacher and go to a class. Your body will appreciate the time too. If you're nervous, bring a friend. Super fun way to bond with people. I usually bring a friend almost every time.

There are different class types for all levels and the teachers are so kind, professional, and helpful. The studio and the surrounding grounds are so peaceful, well-kept and relaxing. The whole atmosphere will put you at ease. I always leave class (any class, from any teacher) and I feel calmer, healthier and relaxed. If you are worried about not being super good or super flexible and yoga may seem intimidating for you but you want to try yoga, Id suggest this class as a start. It helped with aches in my back from working out the day before and it helped de-stress especially if you need to relax after a long week at work.

She has a gentleness that I credit to her Hawaiian heritage, but she is a great speaker and excellent verbal director and can get you into a variety of poses with ease. This studio does tend to cater to a more relaxed crowd. It does not have the pretentiousness of studios I have been to in CA and it is not always a continuous flow series depending on the class you take. But do not worry, you will get whatever you come to yoga for out of the class you attend. Every class has that relaxation as well as physicality you seek. Any pose can be modified for more or less difficulty. And Kanani is a master of relaxation and she has many interests that may include offering aromatherapy yoga in the future. The studio is also philanthropic and she always has a toy or food drive going for local causes. Lastly, if you are a pregnant woman looking for a prenatal class, look no further, Kanani can modify any class to suite your needs. You do not have to seek out a special prenatal class, she is comfortable and knowledgeable with all body types is the bottom line.
