Ask the Community - Bodyworks By Elony

How much do 30 minute and 1 hour massages cost?

Massages are currently $95/hr, or $85/hr with a four-session package. Elony doesn't accept tips, and add-ons like cupping, hypervolt, gua sha, etc. are free of charge. So $95 is the most you'll pay for a standard hour-long massage. You also get 60…

It felt polished without feeling choreographed at all. It became like second nature to us, so on the wedding day we felt prepared and not too anxious! I was very nervous about social dancing. Dominic is a patient, clear teacher, incredibly clever at seeing and helping us correct our difficulties as we learn a dance. All the teachers are friendly and cheerful. Dancing has been great gentle exercise, and we always have fun. Recently, we rented the studio venue for an anniversary party for about 60 people. The space was more than adequate for that crowd, plus we had plenty of room for dancing, the buffet line, and the large photo booth. Dominic is great to work with and knows events. Cost was quite reasonable. He was on hand to help us with details. The studio provided set-up tables, chairs and linens. There is also a kitchen with a pass-through window and we put our beverages in their refrigerator. There is a big TV in the larger dancing room, and we ran a slide show there, which guests enjoyed. In addition, we created our own music playlist and the studio ran that through their sound system.

When searching for dance lessons for my wedding I came across Dance U2. After talking with Tony, I…read morerealized he was the right fit for us. Tony can teach any dance such Salsa , Bachata, Two Step, Swing, and Argentine Tango etc. so it was nice that we had a choice when picking which style we wanted to dance to. My fiancé and I had no previous experience with Salsa dancing, but Tony made it so easy for us to learn! He taught us the basic connection principles and before we knew it we were doing many different types of and dips and tricks at an advance level. You will leave Tony's dance lesson not only feeling more in-tune with your partner physically, but emotionally as well. He has taught us many valuable dance lessons and life lessons in the process. Our time with him was always enjoyable! I would also like to add that we did this during the COVID pandemic and Tony's space was always sparkling clean, hand sanitizer available at all times, and he always wore a mask. Made us very comfortable. I am so excited to show off our new moves during our wedding dance. I HIGHLY recommend Tony for anyone interested in dance lessons! You will not be disappointed!

I can't believe I forgot to write a review of this guy's class. Guess I was trying to forget the…read moreawful treatment and lack of professionalism I received from the instructor. Tony was incredibly rude toward me when I attended my first dance session with him. The other students were more helpful and polite than the instructor himself. I'm not the most coordinated person. I'll admit that and appreciate any person's patience when teaching me a sport or activity that requires a decent amount of coordination. I believe I was learning Polka or foxtrot at his class, but I was struggling with getting the coordination down since I was a first-timer. Tony was going about making sure that the students were on the right track. He looked frustrated that I wasn't getting it, and finally started to berate me. He asked me: "Why don't you understand how to do it correctly? Can you not understand English?" I was stunned and furious to say the least. He wrote me off as a foreigner unable to understand English based on looks instead of being patient like a teacher should be. I'm a native English speaker and was born in the US, unlike him, but saying something hurtful so casually like that wouldn't be acceptable even if the person wasn't a native English speaker. I've heard that South America had horrendous racial tensions, so I could see that Tony brought its racism with him when he came to the United States. If you're not an Anglo or Hispanic person, and don't have any experience with dancing, then expect Tony to say something rude when you don't understand his dance lessons on your first try. I excused myself and went to cry in the bathroom for a few minutes for the poor treatment. Then discreetly left the building. Lo and behold, the man had the gall to follow me to my car! He even positioned himself so that I couldn't slam my door without hitting him. He started advertising his other classes, and gave half-hearted encouragement since I was a beginner. As far as I'm concerned, the "encouragement" was too little to late when he burned a bridge by criticizing my English listening skills. I won't try learning how to dance again thanks to this man even if it's for my own wedding.

My daughter has absolutely thrived at TDA!! Last summer at the 2024-2025 NADA season kickoff party…read moreshe had a horrible panic attack and literally hid in the restroom bc she was so anxious about introducing herself to everyone. She was in FULL meltdown mode and it wasn't fun!! Fast forward to this summer and not only did she have an INCREDIBLE season, she's now doing a SOLO for the upcoming season! We're in absolute awe of how much she's grown in just 3 years of dancing, and we have TDA to thank for that! I also take (adult) classes at TDA and it's been wonderful for my mental and physical health! This really is our safe space and we wouldn't change it for anything. We're actually having dance withdrawals...we can't wait for the season to start! Thank you, TDA!

Sending my daughter to that dance studio was one of the biggest disappointments I've had. The…read moreenvironment seemed extremely cliquey, and if you weren't someone who had been there since you first started dancing, it seemed like you were never truly seen or given the same attention and support as everyone else. Instead of encouraging growth, the studio was very political, where favoritism and who you knew mattered more than talent or hard work. It often came across as cult-like, with pressure to fit into the existing groups rather than simply enjoy dancing. The director pushes the idea of "having fun while dancing" yet makes it feel like your swarmed with competition and pure judgment. My daughter would constantly come home crying from how much she just wanted to quit. Hard to hear that as a paren, especially with how much money you've put into this "amazing" studio.

When we first registered on the site, I put in my daughter's birthday and the only classes the website offered to me were classes for the wrong age group. I emailed and I was told they would register me for the correct class themselves. Around a month later when my daughter and I showed up for class, the studio was locked up and the lights were off. The only phone number we had just rang and went to voicemail. We hung around for a few minutes, then finally left. I emailed the studio and didn't receive a response for 3 days. The email I eventually received said that the class teacher was sick and had emailed the class in advance. I didn't get the email, though, because apparently I wasn't actually added to the class. I still had received billing statements prior to this, so I assumed they had actually done what they said they would do. Communication surrounding the recital was also mixed. I was told details about the recital in February, but then a few months later at the end of a class, our dance teacher said the class would not actually be in the recital, which was news to me and the other parents. I had already told our extended family the recital date. Better communication would help a lot. My daughter enjoyed the class and learned new things, but I think we'll look elsewhere for the fall.
