As a connoisseur of massages (being an endurance athlete who also enjoys lifting), I was thrilled…read morewith the massage I received. Michael was fantastic, had a great demeanor, and not only gave me the massage I needed but even helped me with a few active stretches which was the icing on the cake. This isn't your boujie spa experience but the massage quality beats a spa any day. I will be back when I am back in town.

I'm fairly new to the Harrisburg area so I've been using Groupons to experience more for less $! I…read morebought one reflexology session, as I've never had this kind of massage before so I thought I'd try it out. I called to make my appointment and Michael was very friendly and accommodating. We settled on a date and time and he told me I could print out the questionnaire on the website and bring it with me or to just be there about 10 minutes early and he'd have it there. This place is very easy to find right off Progress Avenue approximately a mile off of I-81. When I walked in--it looked like a Dr. office. It is very clean and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. it's not your "typical spa" where you walk in to the smell of lavender and are whisked away to a dressing room, where you are handed a plush robe and "slippers" and given some kind of fancy flavored water and time to spend in a sauna before your massage. It's more of a professional Dr. office type vibe. However, is it probably one of the best massages you will ever have!! Read on :) Michael took me into one of the rooms and explained reflexology. Very interesting! All I had to do it take off my shoes/socks and roll my pants up to my knees, lay on the comfy massage table and he'd do the rest. Thankfully, I don't have any areas of chronic pain or issues, but if you do--he is very adaptable to your needs. The reflexology massage mostly is inclusive to your feet. There is a little bit of hand massage as well. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. Michael is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about massage. He's been in the business for a very long time. He has an amazing, contagious, fun personality. I had a great time chatting with him! I will definitely return!!

For anyone who does not know, Ashiatsu massage involves the practitioner using her feet to massage you. There is a series of bars high above the massage table that she uses to support herself. This is not having someone walk on top of you with their full body weight. She also has a series of sturdy stools around the massage table that she steps on to change the angle of her force and to allow her to move 360 degrees around you. Diane also does cupping with special suction cups and not matches and glassware. This is paired with your massage. Cupping can be a bit painful at times. As a physician, I think the cupping triggers the Golgi tendon reflex resulting in relaxation of the muscle but I am not sure what Diane would say about my theory. Cupping does leave you with large, circular hickeys for a few days... Diane also has a table warmer so you will not be chilled during your treatment. I can't wait to get my next treatment at her new location!

Amazing knowledge and very respectful! Booking and payment can be done online which is super convenient. Diane too teaches massage and continuing education classes. Therefore, she stays sharp and up to date on her profession. This makes her even more elite at her art.

The scrub was lack luster and I will not do it again. The dry brushing was less than comprehensive and the scrub itself was hardly exfoliating. I have had better scrubs with a nylon mit in Korean bath houses. Save yourself the mess and do your own in the tub or shower at home. The massage and facial were absolutely worth doing though. Next time we go, we will explore some other service to complete our spa day while keeping with the massage and facial. The shower in my room also dripped the entire time and made it very difficult to relax. Despite the technician acknowledging this, no apology or compensation was attempted. I was rather off put by that. I was very relieved that my facial occurred in a separate room after the scrub and massage were infringed upon by the incessant dripping.

As a long standing member of the Club, I've withdrew my support of this spa. A woman named Rosie at the front desk has topped any other employee in my experience to ruin my loyalty to this establishment. She is unnecessarily rude, condescending and simply went out of her way to inconvenience me. Other than that, high turn over at this spa speaks volumes over the years. They should completely shut down, or hire people that will not turn locals and tourists away with a bad taste in their mouths. Do better!
