Great experience. Front desk staff Brittany, MRI tech Wyatt, and another MRI tech (whose name I…read moredidn't catch were) worked well together. I was the last appointment on a Friday afternoon and my visit included special accommodations, which unexpectedly doubled the length of my visit. I was not made to feel rushed and at every step of my exam, the technicians used language to clearly guide me through the process. They were very gracious about it and handled me very carefully, ensuring my utmost safety.

My physician ordered an MRI to address an issue. Insurance denied the request…read more My physician ordered an ultrasound instead. This was completed at Swedish Breast Center in Edmonds, and yet another physician evaluated the results and found it inconclusive. An MRI was strongly recommended. My physician finally convinced the insurance company to approve the MRI. Fast forward to 11/22/24 with an early afternoon MRI appointment at Seattle Radiology on Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Scheduling was thorough and professional. Park in the parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom Tower versus street parking. Payment is via QR code at the end, just follow the prompts. Likewise, this location is accessible via Metro Rapid Ride Route G along Madison. Seattle Radiology is located on the 9th floor. Check-in at the reception desk where ID and insurance coverage card will be requested. Other documents are reviewed, signed, dated via an adjacent screen. Additional paperwork will be provided via clipboard to be completed. Waiting area is clean with comfortable seating, has a calming aquarium, lots of natural light, and nice views. Unisex restroom is conveniently located nearby. Pro tips: shower but refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, makeup, fragrance. Eat sparingly, be hydrated. Use the restroom before the MRI appointment. My name was finally called, where I was brought back by an MRI technologist, completed & verified information, shown a locker area to change from street clothes to blue scrubs and lock up one's personal belongings. An IV line was started and flushed. This is where the contrast dye was injected. I was then situated appropriately just outside the MRI tube. An overview and an opportunity to ask questions was provided. A communication squeeze gadget was placed in one hand, warm blanket placed on me, and headphones placed over my ears. I was placed in the tube. I closed my eyes, focused on remaining calm and still as the testing commenced. Thankfully, the 45 minute session was completed in three increments without incident. I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic during my entire appointment. The technologist had a pleasant and professional demeanor. This was reassuring regarding their competency to oversee this MRI procedure. I am still awaiting the final results. However, from scheduling, check-in, and completing the MRI procedure, I had a positive experience at Seattle Radiology.

I am leaving this review today to commend and thank Liz for her INCREDIBLY friendly, professional,…read moreand kind words. What a ray of sunshine! I'm in some of the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life but she had me laughing on the phone and well on my way to scheduling an urgent MRI. I've been on a lot of medical calls in the last month, advocating so hard to move forward in treatment and testing. Most offices have made me feel like I'm swimming upstream. Liz went over and above to help me schedule, to provide information about the procedure, and to assure me that she'll do all she can to help. I'm shocked in the best possible way today - and I just want to say thank you. She really takes the cake! I have had nothing but INCREDIBLE experiences here. I've been in for two separate spinal MRIs and the front desk staff, the radiology techs, and the reports after have been thorough, professional, and incredible. I really love their open MRI and it was a great option for me. The radiology tech jammed with me to some classic rock and checked in frequently about positioning, how much time I had left, and made sure I was comfortable.

Medical visits are three-pronged: the actual visit and diagnosis, the admin/reception, billing…read more Acutal visit and diagnosis: really top-shelf. Five stars! Can't wait to come back! I mean truly. With a family history and an estimated 52% chance of getting breast cancer, I have been doing annual mammograms since 1995. In those years, I've had dozens of breast ultrasounds, MRIs, biopsies, mammos. The actual medical part of Rayus did feel like I was in the Four Seasons of breast care. The doctor spent a LOT of time walking me through why they were concerned about the two anomalies and even gave me her direct phone number and even was the person who called to review biopsy results. (spoiler alert: both biopsies were benign) Admin / part 1 scheduling: Mixed bag; 1 STAR. AVERAGE on-hold time was well over 20 minutes. One time I held for 25 minutes and then they hung up on me. :( Longest hold time was 38 minutes. Truly unethical, IMO. We aren't doing imaging for sport. We are doing imaging because we are searching for bad agents and/or something isn't in the right place and it is stressful and can you not pick up the phone? Good god. Was bad enough that that I DROVE (20 minutes each way) to the nearest Rayus and walked into the reception to book the appointment in person. Admin / part 2 referral bermuda triangle: 0 STARS. "the doctor didn't send the referral yet" seems to be a pat answer, followed by "call back in a week; doctors always say they sent the referral but they lie." Another pat answer. One Rayus rep went so far as to say "the referrals come in by fax; there's a pile on the floor, it takes us sometimes a week to sort through them all." (Are you F***ing kidding me? As a weird aside, I got a nearly identical answer 8 years prior when they kept "losing" or "not finding" the doctor's referral.) Again: I'm doing this because I have a family history of breast cancer. Must I also suffer through the indignity of knowing that my time-sensitive pre-auth form is relying on 100-year-old fax 'techonology' ? Billing: Wait, is Bernie Madoff your accountant? -17 STARS. I arrive for first breast MRI and receptionist informs me that my "copay" is $500 since I haven't met my deductible. Hmm. I'm not sure this is correct, but she's very concise: "If you don't pay up front, then you don't get the imaging done today." Oy. I asked who I'd contact to work this out, saying that I had already met my deductible. "Um, no, there's no one to contact. We don't give refunds." So then I return the following week and I'm given the exact same shpiel. This time I'm told that I need to pay $335 for my "copay" and, again, no money, no imaging. "You'll need to call to reschedule." Then they send me an invoice for $301, claiming on the invoice that I had paid them $0. Feeling desperate (because who has an extra thousand dollars laying around?) I call my insurance company. Who, thankfully, is appalled on my behalf. "Oh, no, no. You *never* prepay imaging. That's not part of our contract with Rayus." I'm on hold about an hour total. But the good news is that after the one hour with insurance, Rayus did refund me the $835 they 'overcharged' me (or stole from me, depending on how precious you are about word choice). Other good news is that the money was back in my account in about one week. That was one month ago. (cue Jaws music) Yesterday I got a Rayus invoice informing me that I stilllll owe them $301 and their invoice still shows that they have received $0 from me and $0 from my insurance, which is wildly incorrect. I think between the four visits and eight procedures insurance has already paid them a few thousand dollars. And, yes, I will owe 20% for the first $1,000 billed. But something's rotten in Denmark when the medical billing is that insanely incorrect. Weird p.s. to all this: I got frustrated that I could not find a billing phone number for Rayus and went down a rabbit hole or two and learned that Rayus is owned by a venture capital firm that has offices in NYC and West Palm Beach. Curiouser and curiouser.

I love this place and I've never even been a patient here…read more My husband was referred here months ago (I should have given my review long ago). My husband is not a fan of medical procedures and so I was surprised when he reported that things went beautifully. I made the appointment for him and the staff picked up on the second ring. I can't recall whom I spoke with but she was patient and addressed all questions. She told me what to expect step by step and offered several different appointments that worked with his schedule. I'm in the medical field myself and know good service. I was confident they would take good care of him and they did! My husband had a tech named Shannon. He didn't get her last name but said she had previously been a tech at Cherry Hill and chose to move to Radia since it's close to her house. He said that they were short staffed (according to some lady in the waiting area) but Shannon never rushed him or seemed preoccupied. He said his wait was less than 10 minutes. Shannon was funny and treated him like an old friend. He notes that she was confident in her approach and when she walked him out, another patient came up to insist that Shannon do her imaging. It's a testament to how good they are if Radia was able to convince Shannon to move to this clinic from a hospital! If management reads this please let Shannon know that we appreciate her and will never go elsewhere! My husband said Radia was clean and organized. Unlike some patients, we had absolutely no problems with billing. They promptly billed our insurance and when we received our EOB (explanation of benefits) we were surprised at how much less it was than had we gone to Swedish Medical Center. We promptly paid the bill that arrived a month after our EOB and have never had a problem. If you need to have imaging done, I highly recommend Shannon. I seriously almost sent her flowers. She helped my stubborn husband and that deserves 5 stars!!!!!

I had a DEXA scan and an RMR (resting metabolic rate) test done. Both were super insightful for the benefit of my health. I recommend both tests! Joel and Tiffany both helped me. They are the owners and they are very kind, compassionate, and detail oriented. They really care about the customers that come through the door. Tiffany took time to sit down with me individually and carefully explain the testing results and answer all of my questions. They also have an app that has the reports and such on it as well for your reference. The space is medium sized and is very easy to get around in and go from test to test if you are doing multiple tests. It's a very clean and well laid out space. It was a little tricky getting into the building, but I figured it out! On that particular day, they had their cute dog in the space with them and that was very calming for me. I highly recommend DexaFit Seattle! The testing, insights, and prices are totally worth the benefit!

Whats really nice is you can down load the app and see the results later or provide them for your DR. Make sure you read the instructions before your appointment, wear loose clothing without metal zippers.
