It started with my email and phone correspondence with Dale --very hospitable and accommodating! They worked with my time and the services I wanted & more! 2. A friendly, warm, calm welcome from Sequita who offered me a glass of red wine while I filled out the paperwork. She and Denise sat with me individually to discuss my needs for the facial and massage. 3. The massage that included dry brush and scrub! I've been having this left shoulder pain/knot that I'd wake up with some tingling from time to time for a long time....that pain is GONE!! Denise communicated to make sure the pressure was to my liking and it was heavenly! Perfect pressure, super relaxing, and she paid attention to all the little tension spots I didn't even realize were tight. 4. The facial...it's probably been at least a year since I've had one and I felt like it showed! I needed this and Sequita was super knowledgeable and customized the facial to exactly what my skin needed--my face was literally glowing. The good: Making an online appointment was super easy. I chose this place because I got a Spa Finder gift card from a friend and this place accepted it. They text you before your appointment to confirm if you want to go to the appointment. The space is shared with another beauty/cosmetic treatment place. The facility was clean and felt very spa-like compared to other massage places I've been to because they give you slippers, a white robe, and offered wine/water. The bed was nicely warmed and comfortable. I wanted a focus on my upper back and felt relaxed and less tense afterward. The massage therapist was very good about reviewing my questionnaire, checking in on me and making sure that my needs were met. She also reminded me to focus on my breath and ensured that I had a relaxing experience. She was very strong and offered great pressure. They offer a large variety of massage options that I haven't seen at other places (ex: CBD massage). The bad: There's a 15% charge if you use the Spa Finder gift card. The ambient music could've been a little louder to drown out the hall chatter and therapist's mouth breathing (no offense to her, the line of work is very physically demanding and exhausting). I wish a scalp massage was included in the Swedish massage. The interesting: The setup is a bit different from other massage places I've been to. I was shuffled back and forth between different rooms a little awkwardly. First, I was taken into the waiting space where you fill out forms. They set the clipboard down but then brought me to the locker room and told me to come back to the lobby after. So, I went to the locker room then went to the lobby in the provided robe, filled out the forms, then went to the massage room. Wow, I'm so glad to have found this place! I've lived in the South Bay for years but this was my first time trying out their services. My friend and I booked a massage+facial package - total came out to a little over $200 per person which I thought was very reasonable. Their staff took the time and effort to learn about our health issues, skin current care regimen and future goals, so they could customize our experience. We went on a Saturday morning (10am) and it was pleasantly quiet! We sat in the relaxation room prior to our appointment without feeling rushed at all. We felt like queens for the day! The Amazing facial from Sequita was heavenly - it started with a face massage (included neck area), then I went through process of cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. There was a steamer on my face at one point and a I think a peel mask..? My skin was super dewy afterwards and looked as if 10 years had been taken off! The massage from Denise was just as amazing. Just as others have mentioned, Denise is so so good at what she does- makes you feel so comfortable, relaxed, and knew just how to work on the stiff areas of my shoulder. They're now located inside Tikkun Skin Care which is off Hawthorne & PCH. Parking was easy to find in the lot. They have a robe and slippers for you to wear and they have water/juice/wine when you're lounging in the relaxation room. When you book the appointment, you'll need to provide credit card info, and it gets charged it after the services are completed. You can bring cash for gratuity (there are envelopes in the front for this). They may suggest some creams/lotions for you to purchase however it is up to you whether you want to buy them. I ended up purchasing the hydration cream with vitamin c and hyaluronic acid, and a moisturizer since the facial did a lot for my skin. I hope to come again very soon-! read more

THANKS RAVEN! Next up was the facial by the sweet and talented Stephanie. She knew her stuff! I received the "amazing facial", and my skin felt so hydrated, firm, and was absolutely glowing when the facial was complete. The products were incredible and smelled heavenly. I had a stubborn and painful pimple that she took the time to gently extract and treat with a high-frequency wand. It was GONE the next day. THANKS STEPHANIE! The best birthday gift. My team gave me a gift card for my birthday, but the true gift was them finding this place. I was so impressed with the customer service and the welcoming environment -- that they called ahead and told me to talk my time because it was pouring rain, to opening the door, and the peaceful environment. I loved the decor, the smell, the robe & shoes, and wine i was able to enjoy before my massage, and the awesome touch of my name personalized on the locker. I only wish I wasn't in a rush to get to my bday lunch or I would have lounged a little longer :) -- next time though, as I know I'll definitely be back this month. Now on to my massage -- Denise was absolutely amazing!! I told her this then, and I'll say it again, my girl is out here doing God's work with her hands. They are truly a blessing. My mom lost one of the gift cards and Dale was super helpful in issuing another one and booking the service. I finally got around to booking the appointment and I'm glad I did. I made an appointment for the Alpha Massage Swedish and the Express Facial. When I walked in, the receptionist greeted me by name and offered me water. I felt really fancy and special! The waiting room smelled fantastic and it was so clean!! I loved that. The bathrooms were also cleaned and the lockers for your personals were nice too. The room before your service was nice, and had calming music, and dimmed relaxing lighting. I could have sat there for hours. I was really impressed. My appointment was with Sequita and she was amazing!!! She did both the massage and my facial. The massage was beyond everything I needed to feel pampered and special. The dry sauna capsule was NICE oh my goodness! I need one of these at home. Make sure you take advantage of that before you get the massage. It's everything. Sequita paid attention to my body and what it needed. She even made sure her pressure wasn't too much. I swear before I Ieft I was so relaxed, I had spaghetti legs and could barely walk lol. As for my facial, my skin was glowing, and I looked brand new again. I instantly was hook and already made another appointment in January and I am treating my friend to a massage as well! Easy to make an appointment, they called the day before as a reminder and finding them/parking was just as easy too. (It is in the far corner of the open air shopping centre). My daughter loved her massage, it gave her a lot of relief from a tense clicking sore jaw, and she would definitely recommend it for anyone who suffers from the same problem. Thanks spafinder for leading me to this great local spa! I got a tmj massage followed by their signature synergy massage (a combo of Swedish, hot stones, and stretching). David was skilled, professional, and kind. I had been warned the tmj massage in particular could be uncomfortable, but it really wasn't too bad (I'm used to cheap Asian foot massage places where there is no gain without pain though!). I didn't expect 30 minutes to undo 20 years of damage, but I do think he managed to make my bite a bit more symmetrical, which was pretty impressive! The synergy massage was also amazing, with just enough pressure to work out some pretty stubborn shoulder knots. The hot stones in particular really helped melt some tension away. They offer beverages (including wine!), and there is a small room with water, tea, and chocolates for you to relax in. Prices are also pretty reasonable, and you can even book online via an app at your convenience. I will definitely be back for more massage treatments! read more
